I spent a week drawing this and I am so proud of myself! Chapter 16 may be short but I think it is by far my favourite chapter that I wrote. (Link to the fic is the title of this post)

Speaking of Macaque...

A few days ago I talked to my sister about Macaque, I don't remember exactly what, but I do remember that during our conversation it came out that Sun Wukong and Macaque, in "Journey to the West", were so similar that only Buddha could tell who was who...

Then I thought...

What if Macaque dyed his fur black? As a way to differentiate yourself from him?

So we talked about this situation where MK walks into the bathroom one morning and sees Macaque trying to steal some hair dye from his drawer.

MK and Macaque look at each other incredulously for a few seconds, until MK notices their faded gold roots and says:

"Wait, actually…?"

And before he can finish asking that question, Macaque is gone, without the dye.

So, MK ends up confused and surprised in equal parts. And maybe with the bathroom floor covered in black dye.

Why does MK have hair dye? I don't know, maybe it's from Tang.

How did that get there? Who knows.

It was just an occurrence of mine.

And you say...

Music was playing outside my house and I came up with this with my sister...

Macaque: The music is playing outside.

Wukong: And you're telling me that I have the power to stop the cumbias?

Macaque: Of course. Go outside and do it.

My favorite character

One curious thing about me is that Sun Wukong is almost always on my list of favorite Lego Monkie Kid characters. Sometimes Macaque beats him because I'm weak in his character But many times it is as if I could not decide and in my head, both were fighting for the first place and it's kind of fun Most of the time MK ends up winning (ouo)

MK Dad AU - A Brilliant Shade

here comes another wild headcanon for the MK Dad AU Macaque has a good relationship with the children, even though he sometimes has some inconveniences when playing with them. For example... glitter. Macaque learned that you shouldn't let the kids get in his shadow if he wanted to prevent them from keeping glitter there. Because of noticing it every time he uses the shadows to teleport he transforms into the glitter monkey. Or sometimes when he moves his cape releases frost everywhere. It wouldn't be so bad if the color wasn't pink. Macaque can't trust Baobao because of that.

Late Occurrence

A few days ago @melancholialapelada7 and I had a fun little chat thanks to an idea of mine and we thought it would be perfect in a situation where Macaque and Wukong share a room for one night.

This would be the situation:

Both are in a bunk and carry suitcases, Wukong chooses to sleep on the top bunk and Macaque falls asleep on the bottom without saying anything.

They turn off the light.

So Wukong apologizes, turns on the light, looks for something in his suitcase, finds it, sits on Macaque's bed, and says:

"I need to cut a nail."

"¿What?" Reply Macaque covered up to the chin.

Wukong lowers his head and begins to cut his nail.

Macaque gets up while he says:

"¡¿Are you serious?!"

Wukong laughs and answers him:

"Sorry."

 Maybe i will draw it XD

Boredom made my mind create a scenario where the warrior realizes that his hero is never coming back, The little monkeys realize this and try to make the warrior feel better.

S5 Angst (Spoilers)

thinking about MK finally getting a moment's peace after saving the universe (again), laying in bed and staring at the ceiling and realizing. he Died. the words 'sacrifice' and 'destiny' got thrown around so much, making it such a 'big picture' kind of problem, that it hadn't really occured to MK that it had happened to him, specifically. he died. and it feels selfish to linger on it, because he was really only dead for a handful of minutes and his coming back almost destroyed the world, and as far as deaths went he thinks he got off pretty easy. it didn't even hurt. he blinked and he was in Nuwa's domain; he just walked into the light and died. it was actually harder to get back to the Mortal Realm than it was to leave, and is it really worth thinking about at all if everything worked out? but once that floodgate is open, he can't close it again. he died. his heart beats (faster and faster every night he wakes from troubled sleep) and his lungs breathe the scent of his favorite noodles (Pigsy has taken to making them almost every night) and he is surrounded by warmth (no one seems eager to let him out of sight and he is thankful for it), but there is a yawning cavern in his chest where death has made a home and it aches. he is full of life, and he reminds himself every day that he is alive, but none of that makes it any easier to forget. and he really does try to forget it. he died.

Bai He has magic now do you See my vision; Bai He is watching everyone develop powers with their fragment of celestial power, and she can't even bring herself to try because she has such a bad, bad feeling about it; Bai He can feel the celestial power thrumming in her core and she just can't bring herself to reach out and grab it because she knows, she knows; Bai He, a child already exposed to the Lady Bone Demon's power, a child who hosted ice shards and whispers of death in her very being, has magic and she can feel it hiding there, begging to be unleashed, but she just can't do it; Bai He wakes up with frost on her fingertips and reasons it must be the open window, and she knows how ridiculous of an excuse it is--especially on the nights when her window is shut and locked--but she can't stand to look at it, or think about it, or even consider the implications that the Lady still lingers; Bai He has magic now do you SEE my VISION, DO YOU SEE-

thinkin about Xianglu calling himself the tenth king and claiming that he's Wukong's old friend (and enemy), because the tenth king is the one in charge of reincarnating souls and if he actually knew Wukong, then chances are he saw how much good the pilgrims did for the spicy murder monkey and wanted to make sure the newest lil powerhouse he was about to unleash onto the world was at least surrounded by good people ("it all would have happened anyway, you just wouldn't have had... i wanted more for you than just the path, the sacrifice, destiny.") and he specifically chose to wake MK when three reincarnations and an ancestor were all in one place like he really did try to give MK the best possible life he could knowing what the alternative for the Harbinger was

actually lemme talk my shit again, because there HAS to be a reason that Macaque remembers being sad/tired and Wukong remembers him laughing maniacally, like there's gotta be a reason Macaque's flashbacks look like this

but Wukong's look like this

there's a disconnect between these memories and i'm convinced it's because of This Shit right here

we've seen in season five how tired Macaque gets when he overexerts his magic, and those chains in Macaque's death scene look a lot like the ones that bound the Lady to her box thing. if the pilgrims tried to seal/imprison Macaque, and Macaque overexerted himself tryin to get out (it literally looks like his shadows are trying to rip him out of the chains) then it's reasonable to assume that's why Macaque looks so sad and tired in his version of the flashback, but if something else came over him, ie

and maybe that something else tried more desperate measures--since merely hijacking the pilgrimage didn't work, perhaps he really did try attacking the Monk--then that could be why Wukong had to do what he did, begging "stop, don't make me do this" to a Macaque that might've not been fully aware of what was happening (we don't know much about this red Chaos magic yet, but Xianglu saying he's been old friends and enemies with Wukong, he just doesn't remember, suggests that there could possibly be an amnesia-esque element to it, but that's all speculation on my part, pretty much all of this is, lmao)

and then they just straight up Never talked about it, because from Macaque's perspective, he did a crime (and, really, who is Wukong to judge on that front), got imprisoned, tried escaping, and got killed for it; and from Wukong’s perspective, Macaque did a crime (knocking his master unconscious and stealing supplies, kinda not cool, dude), was imprisoned, escaped, then absolutely lost his shit and forced Wukong to fight him in a way neither of them could come back from.

[just a theory, of course, but until canon says otherwise, i'm convinced that this red Chaos magic is at least partially to blame for the discrepancies between Wukong and Macaque's memories]

i haven't seen anyone point this out yet, so i'm gonna point directly at it because Macaque's new magic makes my 3am Theory Brain go brrrrr- Anyhow, what is that?

if that's actually Chaos magic right there, it opens up a whole new line of questions about Wukong and Macaque's fight and i fear a bit.
