Whumper threatening whumpee with a blade-- but only hitting them with the blunt part; the pommel or the flat edge, etc.

The look of fear in whumpee's eyes-- expecting to be cut-- that turns into momentary confusion as they're struck.

Maybe whumpee passes out, and wakes up later wondering why whumper didn't just kill them. Maybe fearing the answer.
