That’s interesting, I don’t like making chase scenes in forests but I’m planning on having more characters getting lost in the forest and becoming weirdly terrified, even though there’s nothing following them.
Bonus points if they’re naked.
As a whump writer, I have to make a conscious effort not to put every single chase scene in a forest. I just love forests tbh. The darkness, the creatures, the roots for whumpee to trip on, the nooks and crannies for whumpee to hide, the dogs tracking their scent, the sudden sharp decline that they tumble down, into an ice cold stream... I just love forests y'all
One of my favourite things is Whumpee protecting Caretaker.
Caretaker does so much for them, is always there for them, helps them all the time. Caretaker has saved them in countless of ways, and would lie, die, and kill for Whumpee.
But now Caretaker is (even ever so slightly) threatened, about to get hurt, and Whumpee steps between them and the danger - despite possibly still being weak, despite not having yet worked through the previous horrors they've faced.
They would go throught it again, and a thousand times, if it meant never seeing the haunted look in Caretaker's eyes Whumpee sees every time they glance at their own reflection.

Shaima and her family are suffering constantly through the bombardment of genocidal warfare.
This family has been living for nine months in a small tent, no more than 3 meters in size. Their children have had to spend almost a year witnessing constant death around them, wondering if they’ll be next. It is an exhausting and debilitating fear.

The look of fear in whumpee's eyes-- expecting to be cut-- that turns into momentary confusion as they're struck.
Maybe whumpee passes out, and wakes up later wondering why whumper didn't just kill them. Maybe fearing the answer.

Mental Health Struggles in Gaza
In the devastated streets of Gaza, 29-year-old Samer lives in a constant state of conflict. He suffers from bipolar disorder, which makes his mood swings reflect the chaos of the war around him. Every bombing ignites painful memories in his heart, and every loss deepens his suffering.
Each morning, Samer wakes up surrounded by destruction, searching for hope in a place where it seems to hide. The medications that once restored his balance have become elusive. The ongoing blockade has turned pharmacies into distant dreams, where essential medications are rarely available and often overpriced.
One day, he decides to visit a health center, believing there might be a chance to receive treatment. But upon arrival, he finds the center's doors closed or overcrowded with patients suffering from similar issues. Samer feels isolated; hope fades amidst the harshness of reality.
Returning home, thoughts swirl in his mind as he spirals into anxiety and depression. He recalls the times he felt stable and knows that life is not as it once was, yet there still lingers a glimmer of hope deep within him.
With each new day, the question remains in his mind: how can he find peace in a world filled with destruction? Samer’s struggle is not just an individual story; it is a cry from the heart of Gaza, where war meets psychological pain in an unending cycle.

My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. She has to take her insulin medication along with many others; however, she has run out of many of her medications.” Am on my knees requesting for donation. Target $450
