"…" Knowing him for quite a long time, you knew how to catch his attention, but it was a risk you were willing to take, which you weren't before because you weren't that close in the beginning. "Oi! Coward!" The second those words came out of your mouth, the man looked at you sending daggers through his eyes, while forming a blade out of his coat, ready to attack you. What he was not expecting was for you to smile and move closer to him. "What? Are you a coward?" "Do you have a death wish?" "Then why did you look at me when I called you that?" His blade slowly came down as he stared at you a bit more, then went back on drinking his tea. You rolled your eyes and then turned your head to the opposite direction, and started whining to yourself in a low voice. "Well what am I even expecting from you. You don't care if I even die or anything. I come to your office everyday trying to make conversation but all you do is just ignoring me. You don't even look at me! Like, do you hate me that much? But why? what did I d-" your words were immediately cut off by the sensation of his hand on your head, slowly patting you; And when you looked at him, he was looking back, and not in a threatening way. "Good job" Now it was your turn to be silent. Not because you wanted to get back at him; but because you were caught off guard and didn't know how to react. "Happy? Now shut up and let me have my tea in peaceful silence"

Atsushi is respectful and has a lot of patience (Have you seen how Dazai makes him do his work to and he's still respectful toward him? The man has a high patience limit). He might not be as good as Dazai when it comes to reading the mood, but he's good at understanding people.

A grin appears on his face, and he puts the soda back in the fridge without even turning his back to you.

⇝Dazai Osamu

As a self-shipper, I would like to think that he is straight; but as some of you might know I'm also a soukoku shipper, so I'm gonna go with Bi-sexual. I don't want to discuss soukoku here/in this blog because it's definitely not the right place for it, but if you were interested you just have to look up instagram or soukoku blogs on tumblr to find out more. anyway, I think that he's bi-sexual, but the reason he doesn't really show it or even ignores his attraction to men (By men I mean Chuuya leave me alone) at some point, is because he used to be sexually abused in his childhood, and by Mori.

Now this is just a theory, but many fans believe that Asagiri wrote the characters based on the main role of the author's book, and if you had read No longer human, you know that the main role- which is similar in so many ways to Dazai- was being sexually abused at a young age. This actually could be one of the many reasons why Dazai isn't interested in being in a relationship and prefers one night stands, but it's only a theory.

⇝Kunikida Doppo

I'm most certain that he's straight. In the novel "Dazai's entrance exam", or in the 6th and 7th episode of the anime, we all witnessed how he got annoyed everytime He saw Dazai chatting with Sasaki, and well, Sasaki was Author Kunikida's wife in real life, so, my point.

I also think that he's ideals for his future mate is based on a woman's personality, but We can never be sure until we find out what he has written in that book of his.

⇝Nakajima Atsushi

Pansexual. Why? Well, Atsushi just doesn't look like a person who would care about formalities in his s/o, like about their appeariance, how they look, what they wear, or even their gender. Though in the series we only saw him getting all shy and blushed around girls, but I think What Atsushi is interested in and cares about is their personality. If he finds a person who's kind, sweet and caring, he will fall for them regardless of who they are and what they are like.

It might be because Kyouka reminds her of her own past, but in total, she gets along better with women in a romantic relationship than men.

Just because I wrote that much for Dazai doesn't mean I would do the same for Fyodor -_-

Anyway, he's not a really talkative person, so you're not attracted to him at first sight,

He doesn't look like a shy guy, he's just not going to waste his energy unless it's necessary to speak so you decide not to bother him.

But things change when you get a bad grade at physics and the teacher asks him to be your tutor.

He agrees cause he doesn't really care anyway.

Fyodor is definitely the top of his class. You never see him study but he pays attention to the teacher carefully while he teaches, so you know that studying with him will be helpful, but you're kinda nervous cause let's be real. the guy looks scary. (Hot scary😏)

So when you do spend time together, you realize that he's actually an interesting guy, and a super smart one, so you come to like him and start hanging around with him everywhere he goes hoping maybe you would become friends.

You're the one who comes to him though, asking where is he heading to and would be it ok if you come along and he always says yes cause as I said before, he doesn't care.

Now being Fyodor's friend is not something Fun at first, but rather meaningful and interesting. You gradually become familiar with his perspective of things and the world, and this would effect you way of thinking and seeing things too. After becoming his friend, you pay attention to details more closely than you did before, and you try to understand the connection and logical explanation behind them.

You two would never talk about you're relationship and that you're friends, because you don't know what his reaction would be and you're also not willing to take the risk, so it's not something offical.

Being his friend adds to you're knowledge and his effect on you is definitely considerable, so you like to be around him but you can never know if he does too since you can't ask him about him neither read his mind 🚶🏻‍♀️
