Galaxy Betta Fish.

A white beta fish curved in a c shape on a black background. Its gray shiny eye stares at the viewer. Its semi-transparent fins contain arms of galaxies and scattered stars.

Galaxy Betta Fish.

Iron is only formed in the hearts of dying stars, and its a key component of vertebrate blood. This fish, like all of us, is made of star-stuff and the galaxies in its fins reflect that.

But astro-axolotl why a fish when all vertebrates have iron in their blood? Good question. The answer is I just really, really like fish.

A tea shop in the early morning light with pinkish tile floors and aquamarine walls. Along the left wall, there's a small wood table with two brass samovars and a few paper sample cups. Next to it, a bookshelf filled with brass tea containers. A set of three wooden counters arranged in a square with an open side on the left. Behind it, A purple curtain shuts off the back from the front of the shop. The furthest counter from the viewer has three old-fashioned style candy jars brimming with scones and a pastry case filled with tarts, cookies, cinnamon rolls and lemon bars. The two shelves inside the counter are filled with white cups and tea pots and black trays. Behind the cash register, a blond man in his early twenties stands wearing a white collared long-sleeve shirt, a green apron, and black pants. He pours a cup of tea into a pot. He looks over his shoulder smiling as the steam coalesces into a translucent humpback whale.

No whales were hurt in in the making of this tea.

Left hand hangs by her side. She's wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans. Her spiky, black hair is pulled back into a ponytail. Black claws sprout from her fingers and gray fur from the backs of her hand. Gray wolf's ears with fluffy white insides twitch towards the viewer. She frowns and her white, sharp teeth are visible. Her yellow eye with a red iris looks directly at the viewer.

All eyes on you.

Her sweatpants are dark gray and her socks are white. The black girl on the left supports the pink-haired girl's left elbow as she continues wrapping a bandage around a cut that goes from mid bicep to mid forearm. The pink haired girl's hand hangs limp-wristed inches from the medic's chest. The medic wears blue overalls with a red cross stitched on the front, black socks and a red and black checkered flannel. The cuff of the flannel's sleeve drops just enough to reveal a bandage around her left wrist.
