when world-renowned pianist yoongi is hired to play a piece for the beautiful up-and-comer to the dance scene, jimin, he never thought that he’d fall in love so easily. the dancer was graceful as a swan, ever-flowing as a river and had a body that was sculpted by the gods themselves. had he believed in love at first sight? not in the slightest. but, would he change his mind for jimin? yes.

their time together was first spent in the dance studio, where they both practiced for hours to get timing and positioning right… but the moments he cherished most were whenever jimin took a seat beside him on his piano bench, his perfume so sweet and intoxicating as it surrounded yoongi, and played a few simple songs with him. the two of them were inseparable for the months of practice they had together. when the night of the performance arrived, yoongi was more nervous than he would ever let on but managed to keep his composure when he saw jimin completely in full dress - makeup and all.

when he was bare-faced, he was so beautiful. but, when he had the whole look… he was ethereal.

his calm and confident demeanor before the show probably helped too. once it was over and the roar of the crowd had faded into silence, the two of them finally shared their first kiss in the shadow of the large velvet curtain; a fitting end to their beautiful beginning.

but, was it smooth sailing to get to that point?
