"My wife," he murmured like a soft, ritual prayer, kneading her thighs as he kissed her sternum, and despite the heaviness creeping into all sides of her soul she smiled, running her fingers through his dark hair. Tonight, like all nights before and all nights to come, his presence seemed to frighten away some of the deepest shadows lurking in the corners of her vision.

With a long sigh Miraak reached up to caress her hips between his palms, lowering his eyes to the thoughtful circles of his thumbs against the linen. He murmured something to himself in Atmoran that she didn’t ask him to translate, threading her fingers through his thick hair with a soft hum. She gained a little weight over the comfortable winter that he could feel in her hips and breasts, soft weight that was good for both of them; he'd lost some definition too, stronger arms but softer torso. It felt good to relax. He worshipped the layer of winter cushioning over the lean muscle of her legs and the slighter fullness in her breasts and belly, and for her that made even the slightest worry about it vanish.

"My husband," she whispered back, still smiling, as he stood to kiss each of her cheeks delicately.

wip wednesday but not

when i first started writing miraak i kinda gave him a thicc gym boy build. hefty but with abs and all.

now that i've seen the light (and he's been out of apocrypha for 5 yrs, his body has finally changed for the first time in 5000 yrs) i've been giving him a powerlifter build with thick arms/shoulders and TITS and a strong but softer torso. somehow it just genuinely fits him so much better (though it's not like anyone could tell in my writing how different it is) in this way he still occupies a large amount of space and is very physically intimidating, but when he's relaxed he's comfy to hold or snuggle, and when he holds people they get the bonus of his strength and relaxed softness. and i think tharya who really enjoys hugging/holding his waist (which is NOT tiny, this man is a rectangle) bc his shoulders are usually too high would enjoy the little ability to squeeze :3

(his butt is still big and perfect. it will never change, nor will his thighs, which are also big and perfect and strong and)

HONESTLY. i want to say yes but also no but also....like YEAH😭

for me, my army of OCs largely never have (biological) kids because i personally don't want kids and tbqh i don't.....REALLY like them a lot? tho some OCs adopt or gain found-family children (i.e. my inquisitor & sebastian vael, who adopt meghan vael when she reappears in the city after seb takes the throne).

miraak & tharya never have kids of their own (there's lore), but miraak really loves kids. so i remedied this by making tharya's family have a ton of kids; you have sofie, who they unofficially adopt, and then tharya's brother adopts her, and then tharya's OTHER brother and his wife have 3 kids (there's a very tender scene of him getting their youngest cozied up for a midday nap in my upcoming fic). miraak also occasionally teaches local whiterun kids at the temple of kynareth. he enjoys letting them climb all over him and is happy that his presence makes them feel safe, and gladly holds them or holds their hand when they want, and is VERY protective of them when he has them. BUT i cant help but think some days he would wish to live in a world w the backpack leashes when they're all especially rowdy🗿 but this is all just me teehee i wanna hear other miraak crowd's thoughts 👀👀👀
