People are so cruel to Mikasa, and this is coming from someone who used to fervently despise her.

I don’t think people understand how difficult it would be to wake up one day and be told you’ll have to kill the person you love most in the entire world. She managed to do this, she sacrificed her own happiness and her own love to save what was left of the world, and people still SHIT on her for keeping the scarf and sitting by Eren’s grave on the ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH.

She rejected Eren’s wishes and instead decided to NOT forget him, she decided to REMEMBER him and keep his scarf because, like in Trost, she realised as cruel as the world is, it can be beautiful, and for her, even in a world without Eren the fact alone she can remember him is enough. 

From chapter 137, this manga went completely downhill. This final chapter was horrendous. The fact everyone got a happy ending except her is fucking disgusting. This manga has turned very problematic and there’s many narrative problems, I am not arguing against that.

BUT TO SAY SHE HAD NO DEVELOPMENT, AND TO SHIT ON HER FOR GRIEVING EREN IS FUCKING HEARTLESS, RIDICULOUS AND DEVOID OF BASIC HUMAN EMPATHY. She went from seeing Eren every single day of her life since he saved her, from loving him fervently to having to decapitate him and live in a world WITHOUT him, OUT OF THE BLUE. She is ADAPTING, she is GRIEVING, she is remembering him by sitting on his grave ON THE DAY OF HIS DEATH ANNIVERSARY. To shit on her for that is just the lowest of the low and those who do ought to be ashamed.

Mikasa has my hard respect for her choices and everything she selflessly did for the world that hated them. A fantastic person through and through!!!!!!!

Am I the only one that feels like the ending is okay. Not the best but not the worst either. Its really bittersweet to say the least and im okay with it! In the end of the day, its Isayamas story to complete. Endings dont always make or break something, AOT is still going to be one of my favourite mangas I got to experience!

And Eren did it.. he finally killed all the titans
