Do you ever think about how Chiron never saw Patroclus and Achilles again? Sure he heard the tales of the Rage of Achilles and Patroclus' Sacrafice. Sure, he did his job, he trained them to be heroes and so they died as such. But to him they will always be boys made for music and medicine. He will stay timeless and their names will stay timeless and everything will be as the Fates intended and he will continue to live on Pelion awaiting the next hero to send to their doom, and he will never seen Achilles and Patroclus again. He trains and raises heroes and he'll train and raise more and then they'll leave and leave him and his life will continue. He does not wait, he has done this song and dance too many times to be that foolish, but he does wish, as he lives on Mount Pelion with the ghosts of boys yet known to the world, boys who only embraced music and medicine.

I do not find this to be an efficient way to absorb information. I am bored and distracted by the time the largely unnecessary introduction is over.
