So ive mentioned before how i headcanon Mikey with red-orange eyes, because thats what the box turtles that live around me have. Then i googled species eyes for the rest of them, and fell in love with alligator snapping turtle eyes (they're star patterned!) so i was playing around with what the boys might look like with these eyes

The only one im completely set on is Donnie #1 for my own personal headcanon, but im leaning towards #1 for Leo and #3 for Mikey. I was originally gonna go #5 for Raph but now im not too sure. Which ones do you guys like the best? Im curious.

They assume the heir is Raph, if not because he's the oldest than because he's the most responsible. And if its not Raph its gotta be Donnie right? He's the smart one. Well the day comes where a regent is needed, and therefore the heir is revealed. Its Leo

Raph is the most responsible, yes, but he doesnt have the brains needed to fully run a kingdom. Donnie has more than enough brains to rule a kingdom, but he has no morality. Mikey's heart is in the right place, but he's too trusting.

Leo has the brains, he just hardly ever uses them. Leo has the heart, but also the intuition and caution needed when making decisions. And he's capable of being responsible, the potential is there.

Leo however is a teenager, and his first month of being Regent is handled so bad the historians consider not recording it because frankly its embarrassing
