“Don’t open your eyes yet, ok? We’re almost there.” Steve said as we walked down a path through the woods. 

“You have your hands around my eyes and a scarf. Even if I did open my eyes I wouldn’t be able to see anything” I responded smartly.

Steve rolled his eyes, “Okay smart-ass. We’re here so when I take off the scarf, I’m gonna count to three and you open your eyes.” He said, removing the scarf. 

“Okay ready?” He asks. I nod. 

“1..2..3!” He yells, causing my eyes to snap open. It takes a minute for my eyes to adjust to the bright light but once I do, my eyes tear up. 

In front of me is a field of tulips, with a blanket and a picnic basket in the middle. 

“Do you-do you like it?” Steve asks, nervously.

I slowly turn to look at him, ”Do I like it? Steve, I love it!” I exclaimed. He let out a breath of relief. 

“When did you do this? You were with me all day?!” I ask, walking towards the picnic blanket and sitting down. 

“I paid Dustin and Robin 5 bucks each just to drive out here and set this up.” He said, grinning. 

I laugh and shake my head, “I can’t believe you did all this for me.” I said, still in a state of shock from how pretty it was. 

“I’d do anything for you.” He stated, leaning closer. 

I smiled and leaned closer, “God I love you, Steve Harrington.” I said, Pressing my lips to his. 

He smiles into the kiss, pulling back slightly only to whisper, “And I love you, Y/n Y/l/n.”

My Hot Neighbor (Negan fic) - CHAPTER 12

Waking up in Negan's bed was nothing short of mind-boggling. It took you a few seconds to realize that the night before hadn't been a dream. You were in Negan's bedroom.

A view of the window of your own room was visible through Negan's window. It was so odd; surreal. You had looked at his through that window so many times. Even in your wildest dreams you never imagined you'd be viewing it from this angle.

"Hey.." Negan's morning voice grumbled and you turned to see him hiding a grin behind his hands as he rubbed his eyes.

"Hey." You smiled back, snickering as you began to process the situation in its entirety.

"You feel weird huh?" He still smiled, though his eyes betrayed him as they studied yours, anxious for an answer.

"To be honest.. no." You sighed. It was full of contentment. You felt light as a feather and right where you've wanted to be long before it was appropriate for you to be there. Your biggest fantasy had just come true. "I'm.." You didn't have a word and so you just looked at him, still beaming a smile that showed off your glowing cheeks.

Negan laughed and put a hand over his eyes. "I never.. thought.."

"That we'd be laying in bed together?"

He continued to chuckle. "Yeah.. that."

Your heart was melting at Negan's reaction to it all. He wasn't being a jerk. He wasn't kicking you out. He wasn't trying to play it cool. He was being his raw, authentic self and it was making you feel more than at ease about what had transpired between you.

"I haven't fucked three times in a night in a long time." He let his chest rise and fall with a deep breath. When his glanced over at you he touched your face. "You're definitely alright?"

"Yeah." You brought his palm to your lips and then kissed his thumb as he traced them. "I thought it was a really great night."

"You want breakfast?" He smirked. "I'm actually a damn good cook."

"Yeah." You smiled. "Can I at least brew the coffee?"

Negan pulled you to him with a smile and you giggled when you were abruptly on top of him. You weren't even totally sure what to do being on top, but he pulled you down into a kiss that made you moan against his mouth.

"I am not near done with you," Negan said against your lips. "You know that, right?"

"Mmm.." you kissed him hard. "I was hoping you'd say that."

"Yeah?" His arms wrapped around you.

"Yeah." You were lost. Being in Negan's arms you were lost. And you didn't want to be found.

The next half hour was a mixture of kissing, smiling, touching, foreplay, making love, snuggling, talking and then finally you were both out in the kitchen as Negan prepared breakfast.

You couldn't speak. You hadn't thought to look at your phone - which was something you hadn't experienced in all of your adolescence and then thereafter. All you wanted to do was live in the moment. And it was an amazing moment.

Negan's hair was a mess. He was shirtless and in a pair of gray sweatpants. You could stare at him whipping up pancakes for years and years to come - and he didn't let you make the coffee.

When he finally sat down in front of you he placed your plate of chocolate chip pancakes down, along with a cup of coffee and then leaned in and stole a kiss.

"Eat, honey."

"Thank you. This is too much."

For a few minutes there was silence as you began to indulge in the breakfast he made.

"This is really good." You smiled and thanked him again.

"I've, uh.. been divorced from Lucille now.. for a few years."

His sentence caught you off guard. "Oh.. yeah. Yeah, I thought so." You were playing it cool but the topic of Lucille had your heart pounding.

"I've kinda had a few flings and some casual shit," Negan confessed, instantly making you just a tad jealous, "But, uh.. I don't know.. I've been thinking about trying to get back into something more stable again."

"Yeah?" You took a bite of pancakes because you didn't know what else to say.

"Yeah." He took a bite, too; though his eyes were on you. When you didn't immediately respond he went on. "Would it be weird for you to give this a try?"

Your eyes widened. Eyebrows raised. Your heart rate spiked. Your face felt hot. You were more speechless than before but the one word you needed to get out miraculously made its way out of your mouth. "Yeah." You wanted to be clear. "Like.. you and me? Like-"

"Yeah like you and me."

You and me. It made you melt into even more of a puddle. You were clay in the palm of Negan's hand.

"I, uh.." you cleared your throat. You were overwhelmed in the best of ways and you hoped it wasn't at all projecting negatively. "I would love to try this out Negan. You and me."

Negan snickered and took a bite of his pancakes. "Well.. now how are we going to keep sneaking you over here without your parents finding out?"
