GENYA GEEKING OUT OVER HIS GUNS IS SUCH AAAHHHH-

In my head, Genya just has an urge to light up fireworks and shoot some bullets every 4th of July. He doesn’t know where this urge came from but he just does it. (Lmao America Breathing).

Gun Hashira au!

Au where Genya, somehow, manages to become a Hashira before Sanami even joins the demon slayers! (I just thought it would be funky)

Basicly. Somehow, Genya manages to join the demon slayer core before Sanami, and in a very Muichiro type situation, becomes a hashira. He is known as the Gun Hashira, but some circles whisper of an alternate title "the demon hashira" but thats just whispers.

In this situation Genya still trained under Gyomei. His motivation is the same, protect Sanemi and others. But since Sanami wasn't in the core at the time and, to Genya's knowledge, missing, Genya felt he needed to train even harder to find and protect Sanemi. Eventually resulting in him rising to the rank of Hashira after killing a lower moon.

Is he a little manic? Yeah. Deffinately. As a Hashira I can see him having a far larger arsenal. Many types of guns, big and small.

He gets excited with each new weapon. Well known for being pretty destructive on the battle field, while also being one of the most caring and gentle Hashira when it came to protecting civilians.

Sanemi does eventually join the core and encounters Genya again, and very aggresively avoids him. This time instead of Genya trying to impress him and get to his level he actually just feels bad. Genya recognises Sanemi can help himself, and just feels bad that Sanemi feels such a need to push others away. He's always kind to him and takes his jabs and insults in stride, with an almost Shinobu like smile on his face.

Sanemi acts basicly the same, but a lot more aggressive with people who try to be nice to him. He feels lesser and like a failure because Genya rose to be in such a powerful rank. The fact Genya did this without him is a permanent reminder that he wasn't there to protect his little brother. That he failed to protect and abandoned a helpless child who was forced to grow up too early. So he tries to keep Genya away from him, he tries to ignore that reminder.

The first Hashira meeting is a bit different. Genya doesn't do anything, I can see it being Muichiro or Obanai taking Sanemi's place in the situation. Idk how else it would go.

Thats about all I have for now. If anyone wants to add on they can. Also this isn't a shippy thing. The au focusses mostly on Genya and Sanemi's relationship than anything else.
