I love basic things I love popular things, I was born to enjoy every good thing the world has to offer
default pastimes
Default pastimes are different from hobbies. They're activities you can always do when you want to be productive or have fun. These activities are easy to do and don't need much planning. They serve as reliable go-to options for occupying your time in a productive or enjoyable manner.
What sets default pastimes apart is their remarkable ability to lift or stabilize your mood, assisting you in getting out of a rut and clearing your mind. Even engaging in these activities all day leaves you significantly more productive and fulfilled than anything else. Offering opportunities for personal growth, creativity, and enjoyment, they provide a healthy alternative to unproductive habits and contribute to overall well-being.
Default pastimes aren't just about relaxation or fun; they can also help you get ahead. Tasks like meal prepping, planning, decluttering, preparing outfits, and packing bags contribute to your well-being by reducing stress and saving time. Doing these things when you don’t feel well or are stuck boosts your sense of accomplishment and frees up more time for leisure.
So, dear ladies, make your list of default pastimes and keep it handy. When you're not sure what to do or find yourself rotting away, pick something from your list and give it your all until you’re ready to tackle the rest of your day/ responsibilities.

Here’s my list
journalling
going on a walk and voice recording myself venting
running
reading
stretching
working out
decluttering
meal prepping
planning
meditation
praying (the rosary)
sitting in the chapel
spa/ self care day
walking around in the city, window shopping, art exhibition, museum,…
etc.
Again, they’re distinct from hobbies and help me get back on my feet. If it takes all day then it’s a whole day I need. One thing I do is pick my activity for the day beforehand and do that in between tasks. Can’t concentrate on my homework? Cool, I’ll just do stretching excercises until I feel ready.
