He's the guy in charge of talking you down from an anxiety attack, or handing you a box of tissues when exams are really getting to you.

always has a box of biscuits and chocolates locked and loaded.

Mr Lee is the guy that approaches you kindly with his hands in his pockets because he knows you've been going through it at home, and wants you to know his door is always open.

Manages to give extremely sound advice, like he truly cares and isn't just regurgitating quotes from a training seminar.

extremely well liked, when students get sent to talk to him they know they're in good hands.

in charge of the after school/ lunch time detentions.

No one knows fear like when they are *this* close to getting away with ditching and then Mr Seo rounds the corner with his walkie talkie

assertive as hell

you'd think he was hated by students, but if you're behaving well and going to class he's not afraid to have a little joke with you either.

Sits there with his eye brow raised and his arms crossed on the desk while you explain why you're in detention, but the conversation is interrupted when his walkie talkie is going off again because a kid is trying to scale a wall.

always has his tie loose and sleeves rolled up by the end of the day because his job is one of the most stressful.

Is fully aware that he scares students a bit so goes out of his way to be kind and funny to put kids at ease (as long as they're not misbehaving)

really good at remembering student's names, even the quiet ones that slip under the radar

You stopped believing his anecdotes weeks into the term because theres an 80% chance he's fucking with the class.

a very good teacher who can get the lesson done concisely and efficiently

is one of those teachers that stares at you and just waits for you to finish talking instead of saying to be quiet.

Students find him mysterious and intimidating but also never complain when they have him on their timetable.

Yuta is the teacher that the substitutes ask for when they can't control the class

you'll be sat there having a chat with your friends and then Mr Nakamoto comes in to yell at the class to be quiet and listen to the sub and then everyone actually does it.

Will sign the petition to stop dress-coding the girls without a second thought because he truly believes it's stupid.

Tells kinda TMI stories, but you don't read too much into it because who knows if its really true or not.

Is the least bit interested when you roll up late and have to be signed in.

Is extremely glad he sits in his own office and doesn't have to deal with kids as much as the teachers

Gate keeps the espresso machine in the main reception

Has to work extra hard when a kid comes in looking like they're gonna puke or with a bloody knee because sympathy is exercising a new muscle for him.

Will gossip with Taeyong in his room when he's on his lunch break

If you do happen to catch him in the pastoral room then he'll sit quietly and respectfully while you talk to Mr Lee, he might even chime in with something useful that'll make you fear him a bit less

Has perfected the art of dealing with complaining parents to an actual tee, the best in the business.

Fails to hide his laugh when you come into his office and tell him you got hit in the face with a basketball.

Makes a huge song and dance when kids come to him and tell him they forgot their PE kit or their violin and now he has to call their mum

Definitely one of those young PE teachers who peaked in high school and only likes you if you're good at sport.

Had to consciously act professional when he was assigned the lower set.

In reality, is the most fun on sports day

Like he will actually take part and that's why his classes like him

if you hurt yourself and its not serious he'll make a little joke or laugh with you to make it less embarrassing before sending your sorry ass to Doyoung.

if you want to get out of PE, just say you're on your period because Mr Jeong gets flustered easily and he won't ask any questions

Heaven forbid he gets asked to cover a lesson that isn't PE, will just let the class go crazy on kahoot.

Shoots baskets perfectly and tries to act chill when the class is cheering but really he's screaming on the inside.

First things first, Mr Kim makes World Book Day his bitch.

Maybe the school was more casual about it in the years past, but since he started working there, the students are generally expected to take part or Jungwoo will be very disheartened

Makes the library a true sanctuary

is guilty of calling the IT support at any minor inconvenience on his computer

Also eats during the day and then simultaneously tells kids off for eating in the library

Is terrified at the concept of disciplining rowdy students- so he just doesn't.

not that students ever really disrespect him, he's too nice

admittedly spends most of his day flicking pens and twiddling his thumbs, but students fight over the role of student librarian because he's quite fun to talk to

always keeps fidget toys on him for the kids that need them

puts 110% effort into helping you with homework, even if he's clueless on what the subject is

thrives in the modern foreign languages class

always ends up washing the dirty mugs in the staff room at the end of the day

If he catches you upset in between classes, will sit and talk to you like a friend before walking you down to Mr Lees quiet room.

His marking is always so inconsistent

Like you'll be looking at an answer he marked wrong, but marked correct on your friends test and when you go up and question him about it he's like "damn shawty lemme take another look at that"

doesn't say shawty, but ya know same energy

has no shame in literally regurgitating the same comment over and over again at parent's evening

His redeemable quality is that he's the most fun on school trips... probably because he also enjoys not being in school.

❁ Having just moved back from uni, you were returning to your hometown to reunite with your friends and family, taking some time for yourself before you moved on to your next chapter.

❁ Yuta had been in your life for a while, though he was a little older there was the undertone of mutual pining that got put on hold when you moved away to pursue your education

❁ But now you were back, and seeing you again was stirring up feelings that never really went anywhere, feelings of wanting to be more than the static friend zone you were stuck in while you also dated around with other people.

❁ You and Jaehyun kind of had a thing just before you left, and it didn't escape anyone's notice when he greeted you with the most enthusiasm of anyone in your group.

❁ Despite yours and Jaehyun's fling, Yuta embodied the feeling of nostalgia; most of your fondest memories involved being with him and they made you feel so safe and content.

He couldn't get past how much you had changed, how only three years had seen you go from a timid eighteen year old to a confident twenty-something year old that still looked up at him with sparkling naivety that he was so glad you hadn't out-grown yet.

❁ Being alone with you was risky, he couldn't ignore the need to feel his lips against yours for much longer, and if by the way your eyes kept flicking to his lips when he spoke meant what he thought it did, then you were both on the same page.

❁ The tension of unspoken truths hung around in the air, knowing that you felt strongly for each other but not having the verbal confirmation yet. "What's stopping us?" He muttered close to your ear, appreciative that you were finally alone together, his words accompanied by a symphony of waves crashing onto the shore below you.

❁ His hand found yours tentatively, fingers interlocking as he smirked at your bashful expression. "You make me go crazy Y/N... How did you grow up so fast?" He asked you amused, smiling further as you scoffed at his statement.

❁ "Jaehyun won't be happy though..." You spoke downcast, head resting against Yuta's shoulder as the wind whipped at your hair.

❁ "Do you think he could let his baby be my girl?" He replied sarcastically, a smirk tugging at his lips, knowing that you would stay with him and hold onto this feeling no matter anyone's opinion.

❁ You wiped the stray tear from your cheek, the anecdote Yuta told you and your friends leaving everyone in some kind of fit of giggles as the story unfolded.

❁ You sat around the living room of Johnny's house casually, pizza boxes discarded and beer bottles here and there as you met up for an overdue catch up. Yuta's hoody draped over your frame, soft and smelling like him, though you hadn't actually been all that upfront about your relationship.

❁ You knew you liked each other, there was just no label on your relationship yet, which you were fine with, you didn't need a label to know that the way Yuta was looking at you while you spoke was not how friends should look at each other.

❁ Knowing that you only laughed like that when he spoke did his ego no favours, any hope of Jaehyun or anyone else butting in and ruining what you had was squashed.

❁ You could feel others around you noticing the chemistry between you, glances being exchanged when Yuta flung an arm around your shoulders casually while he sipped from his beer bottle. Every time you spoke, fidgeted, coughed he would flinch or perk- you could only see it if you were looking for it, but once Jaehyun noticed how all of Yuta's attention was on you, he knew he had to let you go.

❁ "Are we really one of those couples?" You asked jokingly, an eyebrow quirked at the pet name as you moved closer to him in your room, the distant sound of waves crashing due to the harsh wind travelling through your open window.

❁ Yuta looked far too earnest for joking though. Gathering you in his arms he pulled you close and rested his lips against your hair while you both stood staring at the storm out the window, the cast of angry grey clouds making the whole room dark.

❁ Despite the angry weather, the summer had felt endless, without the stress from school you spent hours at the beach with your friends, camping out late into the evening and only moving when the tide chased you away. The nights were spent in your room with Yuta by your side, reminiscing about everything and nothing with his hands running through your hair and humming to the tune of your record collection, always escalating into a lazy makeout session where his hands would slide under your t-shirt and lips would trail up and down your throat.

❁ "Will you be my girl?" He asked, a simple question but his tone dripped with sincerity. You peered up at his taller stance curiously, unable to ignore the feeling of his hands tightening around your waist possessively as his dark, expressive eyes burrowed into yours.

❁ You tilted your head and tugged his shirt down, hoping this was enough to convey your answer, and he of course caught on quickly, his lips pressing against yours in a hedonistic kiss.

❁ "My baby..." He muttered against you, his hand tangling in your hair, preventing you from any kind of escape, not that you wanted to. Your stomach flipped at the comment, the feeling of belonging to Yuta making your heart trip, unable to stop breathing him in you knew you could easily get lost in his lungs.

❁ All the time you had spent apart was worth it, he had told you: "I don't mind being patient," but you never held him to that. It was the rush of emotion that was akin to the waves that crashed along the shoreline of your hometown- retracting all the way back only to return with a new force. Being with Yuta felt like the safest place on earth, you were his baby, he was your soulmate, the dynamic between you was more than a wave... together you were a wipeout.
