This is heartbreakingly painful and I loved it. The development of the relationship and the hope that came with it paired with the fact we all know that it is built on a lie gives this story a very dynamic and realistic feel. My favorite scene as to be when Yuta tells her and the imagery with the ballerina music box.
the jerk;
∎ This is the one brother that just is a real jerk. He’s the one that causes issues for the fraternity and other organizations because of his personal vendettas. Sometimes he’s even mean to his own brothers. He’s just a hard person to like as a whole, but maybe behind that façade of bad boy there’s something more, you just have to break it down to find out.

∎ summary: Was he your guardian angel? Or was he just the devil in disguise? Maybe your mind knew one thing but your heart wanted to believe something completely different. That’s something we cannot control. When Yuta appeared in your life with flashing lights, you never thought he would be the one to teach you that there’s more life out of your comfort zone, he was the one that showed you that there’s always a plan B. But you cannot live a life that is tainted with a big ugly lie—and Yuta knew that, he knew that it would explode inside of his chest someday and that same lie that built your relationship will be the one responsible for its destruction.
But that’s something you do when you care about someone who needs you—you sometimes lie.
∎ A/N: there’s going to be part II. Don’t worry, i got you.

Again, this series is so beautiful. The expression of the reader’s feelings in relation to her dancing is done so well and it makes me want to read this a thousand times over.

At the age of 8, you discovered an empty grass field located down the street from your home. It’s grass that created an itchy discomfort against your skin, it’s surrounding flowers that were yet to be bloomed and swarms of mosquitoes that attacked your arms and legs - provided a sense of comfort in your life. Daydreaming from hours on end and watching the clouds drift by until the sun finally set, was how you spent most of that summer.
It wasn’t until two summers later that dandelions had begun to bloom on that very field.
When you brought home one of them, your mother told you that dandelions were a symbol of love. It’s said that by blowing off all the seeds in one breath, it meant that the person you loved - loved you back. But, if any seeds remained, the person you have feelings towards may reserve their affections for you.
There was only one person you loved, Lee Donghyuck.

NOT ALL BEST FRIENDS WILL BELIEVE YOU WHEN YOU SAY YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR GUY BEST FRIEND, EVEN IF YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND TO PROVE THEM WRONG.
You run a hand down your face in exasperation. You figured that no matter how many times you’ve said the same words over and over again, your friends won’t ever be convinced— you showcase little to no confidence when you speak the so-called ‘truth’.
“Y/N,” Hinjae sighs, her face looking bored and over the conversation. “I really don’t know why you’re staying with that jerk you call a boyfriend, when it’s so obvious that you’re deeply in love with Jaemin. It just doesn’t make any sense!”
“I’m not ‘deeply in love’ with Jaemin.” You counteract, fed up of having the same conversation over and over again when you’ve clearly stated that he’s just a friend and that’s all he’ll ever be to you. Plus, you’re dating someone else; a boy you’ve had a crush on since school, and now that you’re in college, you’re finally able to date the person who had your heart for so many years.
“Please,” Juwon snorts and you snap your head to glare at her. “Don’t give me that look. We all can see that you like him, you might not be in love with him as Hinjae says, but there are some romantic feelings for him that you can’t deny.”
You shake your head. “That’s where you’re wrong, my dear friend. I have no romantic feelings for him. At. All.”
“What does your mum have to say about this?” Hinjae asks, a nail file dragging along her fingertips as she tries to give herself a manicure— but with the way she attacks her nails, no one can even be sure it’s a manicure she’s trying to attempt.
“What do you mean? There’s nothing for her to say.” You cross your legs on your bed, staring at Hinjae’s nails as you do so.
Hinjae quirks a brow up at you as she glances up from her hand, “Come on, she definitely has something to say about your boyfriend. There’s no way in hell she’s kept quiet about everything that goes on with you two… unless you haven’t told her anything!?”
Juwon moves down the bed to sit next to you, nudging your arm with her elbow when you don’t answer. “Y/N, seriously? You haven’t told your mum that you’re dating? How in the hell have you kept it a secret? Has she really not sussed anything out? You must’ve had him in your house, surely?”
You cross your arms, slouching forward to get comfy, but Juwon pokes your back and you sit up straight again, fixing your posture— Juwon tends to have a habit of poking people in their backs to fix their posture, she hates others complaining about back aches when it’s clearly their fault.
“I don’t see why I have to tell her. It’s not like she tells me anything about her life, or the many men she says she’s dating.” You roll your eyes, already bothered by the fact your mother was brought up in the conversation.
Hinjae sighs, “You’ve got to tell her at one point.” She places down the nail file and turns her full attention to you and Juwon sitting on your bed. “Who knows when Yeonjun will break your heart and your mum has no idea why you’re constantly crying and eating a shit tonne of ice cream.”
You shake your head, “He won’t break my heart. He’s not the kind of guy to do that, he’s really sweet.”
Juwon fake gags. You look at her with a confused look, brows furrowed together in question. “You’ve got to be kidding me, right? ‘He’s really sweet’, my fucking flat ass. No way in mother fucking hell is that boy really sweet, nuh uh, not buying it. Sorry, Y/N, I will never find him sweet.”
You watch her scoot off the bed, storming over to your bedroom door and swinging it open. “Do you know who actually is a really sweet guy…? Na Jaemin, yeah, that’s right. Na Jaemin is one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met in my entire life, and I’m not joking!”
“Well, yeah, Jaemin is sweet, but I don’t fancy him. I don’t know how many times you want me to say it for you to believe me.” You sound exasperated. You just want your two best friends to believe you when it comes down to who you like. For crying out loud, you have a boyfriend! If having a boyfriend isn’t obvious as to who you have feelings for, then you have no idea what they’re expecting from you.
Juwon throws her head back with a groan, “Y/N, it’s not that we don’t believe you, it’s… it’s— fuck! Hinjae, explain, please.”
“I have no idea what you’re trying to say,” Hinjae tilts her head in confusion, but nonetheless, she continues speaking. “But, Juwon is right— it’s not that we don’t believe you, I think it’s more the fact that you’re in a bad relationship and you just don’t see it. We love you so much, and we really hate seeing you get put through so much hassle because of a boy who doesn’t care for anyone but himself.”
You look between Hinjae and Juwon. Juwon is nodding her head in agreement, “Yeah, what she said.”
“You guys don’t know anything about my relationship with Yeonjun. All you two seem to point out is our flaws, every relationship has flaws! And don’t get me started on how you aren’t supportive of the relationship.” You slap your hands against the duvet as you lean back on your hands. “I’m honestly tired of having to repeat myself over and over again— I’m dating Yeonjun, I love him, not Jaemin. You need to get Yeonjun’s name out of your mouths, understand?”
Hinjae throws up her hands in hopelessness, whereas Juwon storms out of your bedroom, muttering under her breath along the way.
You roll your eyes and hop off your bed, grabbing Hinjae’s wrist and dragging her out of your bedroom with you, on your way to find where Juwon went.
Your first guess was the kitchen— she likes to eat whenever she’s angry or annoyed; you’ve come to learn that it helps her collect her thoughts. Sometimes it helps, but the majority of the time she’ll end up getting more annoyed as she doesn’t want to put on weight. She tends to get angry very often, so her way of calming herself down isn’t very wise.
“Jeez, either slow down or let go of my wrist. I’m not a dog.” Hinjae complains, tugging her wrist out of your grip.
You turn around and shoot her a glare. “She wouldn’t be annoyed if it wasn’t for you bringing up my relationship again.”
“Excuse me?” Hinjae scoffs, arms folding across her chest as her face screws up into annoyance. “I didn’t bring anything up, and even if I did, you could’ve said something to change the subject, but did you? No, you didn’t. You can’t get mad at me for something I have no control over— anyway, it was you that made her annoyed with what you said.”
“What? I didn’t even say anything bad.”
“Oh, really?” Hinjae leans on one foot. “So, it wasn’t you who said that we always point out the bad things about your relationship, or how we don’t support you, or how we need to leave you alone about Yeonjun?”
You open your mouth to say something, but nothing comes out.
“Yeah, exactly.” Hinjae rolls her eyes. “I’m not gonna argue with you, we have bigger problems right now. Where in the fuck did she go?” She storms over to the kitchen and looks inside, finding nothing but an empty room.
“Is she in there?” You ask, moving to stand behind Hinjae. She shakes her head and you frown. “But she always goes to the kitchen, where is she—“
“Y/N!” Juwon screams at the top of her voice, suddenly emerging from around the corner. You both spin to watch her storm over to you, a big photo album in her hands. You glance down to what she’s holding and you tilt your head, wondering why she’s even got that, and where in the hell she went looking for something like that. “Look at me when I’m speaking to you.”
You make eye contact with her, “Sorry.”
Juwon takes a deep breath, controlling her anger in a new way… interesting. “This,” she holds out the photo album for you to take. “This is an album of photos, memories, keepsakes, you name it! Me and Hinjae have been gathering a bunch of shit together for you and Yeonjun’s anniversary this week. Never, and I mean never, tell me that I don’t support you, because that fucking hurts, okay?”
Hinjae watches you flick through the album, your lips curling up at the sides into a small smile.
“…okay, Y/N?”
“Huh— oh, yeah, okay…” You close the album and put it on the dining table. “I’m sorry for being harsh, I’m just fed up with having others say shit about my relationship with Yeonjun. I love him, and he loves me, and it’s getting annoying when you guys say that I like Jaemin, or how awful Yeonjun treats me… you’ve got to see where I’m coming from, right?”
“Actually—“
“We do,” Hinjae interrupts Juwon and shoots her a glare. “We do, but we just hate seeing you upset over something Yeonjun does or says… we’re your best friends, and we care so much about you.”
“And I appreciate you guys looking out for me, but I’m fine. Yeonjun and I are going strong, things are going well.” You give them a smile; but to them, your smile didn’t seem sincere, but nonetheless, they didn’t say anything to point it out. “And thank you for the photo album, it’s wonderful.”
Juwon beams a bright smile, a big contrast to how she was mere seconds ago. “It was mainly my idea, but Hinjae insisted on being involved, so I had no choice but to include her.”
“I beg your pardon?” Hinjae kicks Juwon in the shin, causing her to retaliate with a slap on the head. “Fuck off, why’d you hit me?!”
“Seriously? Are you really asking me why I hit you when you kicked me first?” Juwon put her hands on her hips and leaned to one side— she was ready to argue, and she never backed down. You were watching the two, trying to not giggle at their childish antics, but you seemingly failed when a rather loud giggle came from you.
“Sorry! You two are funny when you fight,” you cover your mouth to try and stop yourself from laughing. Just as you were about to let another giggle out, Juwon snatches the photo album from the table and runs down the corridor. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing?” You shout out after her. “What is she doing?”
Hinjae shrugs, “Probably hiding it again.”
“She hid it? …in my house?” You stare at the floor in confusion. Why would she hide a present for you in your own house? Actually, it’s probably best not to question Juwon’s ways of gift giving, no matter how peculiar they may seem.
Hinjae shakes her head, “Don’t ask me, I’m not the one hiding stuff.” She moves past you and walks into the living room, flopping herself down onto the sofa, a cushion that your mother spent a lot of money on getting squished. “Do you have anything planned for tonight? Me and Juwon were thinking of meeting the others for some food… but if you’re meeting Yeonjun tonight, then it’s fine.”
You frown at her words. Did she always think that you had plans with your boyfriend? “I’m free, but for future reference, if I did have plans with him, I’d cancel them just to stay with you.”
She nudges your shoulder when you go to sit down next to her, “Not you simping for me.”
“Shut up.” You laugh, nudging her back. “Oh, you’re back, are you?” You look up when you notice Juwon walking in and dropping herself onto your lap, her legs curled up on the little space left on the sofa. “Why are you hiding things in my house? You do realise that I could easily find it?”
Juwon snorts, “As if you’re smart enough to find my hiding spaces.”
You whack her on the back of her head, a tut leaving your lips along with Juwon's body. "Why'd you hit me?" She pouts deeply at you.
You cherish how she never hits you back whenever you initiate the first smack— but when it comes to Hinjae smacking first, there's no doubt in her mind she's smacking back, hence their little blip from earlier.
You shoot her a smile, "Just because."
"Y/N's coming with us tonight." Hinjae speaks up, stopping Juwon from fake crying so you would apologise to her from the guilt she would make you feel. Juwon was a funny friend— you never knew which side of her you'd get to see each day. It was like being friends with an advent calendar, you get surprised everyday with something new.
Juwon moves to sit on the floor since there wasn't enough space for her to squish herself on the sofa. She places her chin on your knee, staring lovingly up at you, "Really? You're coming with us tonight?"
You nod your head.
"Fucking finally! You haven't been out with us in so long, I was starting to think your social battery was forever expired." Juwon blabs whatever first comes to mind, and honestly, you're surprised no one has actually started a fight with her because of it. She tends to... run her mouth.
You go to smack the back of her head again, but luckily for her she quickly moves out of the way and sticks her tongue out at her.
"Okay, you two, enough." Hinjae throws her legs across your lap to separate you from each other. It wasn't much, but it seemed to do the job. "And yes, she's coming out with us after a while, but you didn't have to bring social battery into things. Not everyone can cope with being around you 24/7, y'know?"
Juwon clutches her heart through her shirt, "Ouch."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Hinjae waves her hand dismissively. "We're going round Jaemin's place at like... uh, eight or something? I don't know what time he actually said, but around then. Is that cool with you?"
Juwon nods her head, but you knew that Hinjae was primarily speaking to you. "Yeah, that's cool with me." You give her a smile. "That gives us like, two hours or so, wanna watch a film?"
"As long as you don't put on Pirates of the Caribbean again, I'll watch a film." Hinjae sternly says, a finger pointing in your direction.
You throw your hands up, "Alright, but I'm not letting either of you choose, I hate every film you guys put on, they're always so boring."
"Excuse me?" Juwon scoffs, "Since when is Dirty Dancing boring?"
"Since I said so." You smugly smile at her before throwing a pillow at her face, a laugh coming from you and Hinjae causing Juwon to scream.
"I hate you."
“Holy shit! It’s Y/N fucking L/N!” Haechan cheers, raising a beer bottle up in your direction to greet you.
You shake your head with a laugh, walking over and greeting him back by taking a swig from his beer bottle. “Long time no see. How are things? How’s your girlfriend?”
Haechan rolls his eyes, “Do we really need to talk about girlfriends right now? Just sit down.” He pats the empty space next to him, which you gladly take, perching yourself down next to the cuddly bear of the group— which no one but himself came up with. “I’ve had enough of people talking about my relationship. It’s nothing to do with them!”
You lean back and watch him down the rest of his beer. “What’s up with him?”
“Girl problems.” Jaemin answers, slotting himself next to you on the couch even though there wasn’t much room for him in the first place.
“I mean, when is he not having girl problems?” You giggle, scooting closer to Haechan to allow Jaemin to sit next to you on the end of the sofa.
When Jaemin sits down, he casually places a hand on your thigh. He’s always done this, but for some reason tonight, it feels completely different than to all the other times before. You couldn’t put your finger on it, nor could you say whether it was a bad or good difference.
Jaemin took notice of you spacing out, “You okay?” He nudges your shoulder with his own, pulling you out from your thoughts.
“Huh— oh, yeah, I’m okay. Just went off with the fairies for a second,” you look him in the eyes and give him a soft and reassuring smile. How could your friends say that you were in love with him? Do they not realise how weird it would be for you two to date?
You’ve known each other since the beginning of school, and now you’re in the same college. It was neither of your intentions to end up going to the same college, but from the majors you both took— which go hand in hand— the two of you kept getting closer and closer. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but your own from how close the two of you are.
When you got together with Yeonjun, he stated how he didn’t like how Jaemin was behaving with you; acting like he was your boyfriend when clearly, you weren’t dating him. You should’ve distanced yourself from him when Yeonjun first said something, but there was something inside you telling you how much of a bad idea that would be.
So, here you are, with Jaemin as one of your closest friends with his hand on your thigh… rather high up must you add.
“What are you thinking about?” Jaemin questions, eyes squinting as he looks at you.
You shake your head, “I’m not thinking about anything, my head is empty.”
Jaemin laughs and grabs either side of your head, pretending to shake it and see if he can listen for anything rattling around in there. “Yep. There’s nothing in there.”
“Hey!” You shove his chest and laugh, “That was mean.”
Without the two of you knowing, everyone in the room was watching you two and seeing how easily you both got along and flirted. No one would dare to point out that you’re flirting with each other, they knew it’d cause a massive argument and rift, so they just had to keep it all to themselves, no matter how hard it was for them to stay quiet.
With you being in denial and not accepting that you do have some feelings for Jaemin, it was pretty obvious that he has them for you.
In another universe, the two of you would be happily married with kids. There’s not a doubt in anyone’s mind that that isn’t true— and Hinjae majors in Astronomy and Cosmology, so she would know.
“I don’t get why neither of them just confesses,” Juwon mumbles to Hinjae as she links her arm with her best friend. “It’s so painfully obvious that they like each other. But our darling Y/N is dating that prick of a guy with the rank name, Yeonjun. I want them to break up— and I know how horrible that sounds— but Y/N deserves so much better than what she has… Jaemin is what she deserves, he’s literally the best thing that she has.”
“Apart from us, obviously.” Hinjae adds.
Juwon scoffs, “Well, duh, obviously.”
“But don’t forget, we’re her best friends and we can’t be scheming some awful plan to break them up. It wouldn’t be fair on her, nor would it be very nice of us.” Hinjae sinks lower into the sofa across the room from you and Jaemin, her eyes still watching the two of you converse about something that has you laughing and smiling like a lovestruck idiot.
“Who said anything about scheming up a plan?” Juwon turns her head to look at Hinjae, an eyebrow raised in suspicion. “What were you even thinking of doing?”
Hinjae gasps, “I wasn’t thinking of doing anything! I was only saying it— there’s no meaning behind it.”
“Mhm, sure.” Juwon squints her eyes before turning back to watch you. Her eyes drifted to Haechan who was squished at the end of the sofa, he looked uncomfortable with the atmosphere you and Jaemin had created and she wanted to burst out laughing.
“Okay, enough!” Haechan blurted out and jumped from the sofa. He spun around to glare down at you and Jaemin looking rather cosy next to each other. “You two,” he wags a finger at you both, “Need to get a grip and confess before one of us here explodes from how long you’re taking to do it, or… or you don’t flirt when we’re around. It’s driving me insane not being able to say something— do something about it!”
You blink up at Haechan with your mouth agape, completely shocked that he said such a thing.
"Okay, what?" Jaemin furrows his brows. "Why would I flirt with Y/N? She's my best friend, and has a boyfriend. I wouldn't do that to her."
"Also, might I just add," you pipe up after you come to your senses. "You have no right to comment on us when you're having relationship issues yourself! Me and Jaemin are friends, and that's all we'll ever be, so stop saying stupid shit about who we like or are flirting with. It's getting super annoying now." You look up at Haechan with a deadpan expression, completely ignoring Jaemin beside you and missing the solemn look on his face when you said you'll only be friends and nothing more.
If that wasn't a dead giveaway as to how he feels about you, then fuck, you're wasting your time.
Haechan shoves his middle finger in your face before trudging out of the living room. You sigh and lean back against the back of the sofa, your eyes closing briefly before you are disturbed by Jaemin getting up from the sofa and following Haechan out of the room.
You watch him leave and you sigh again. You weren’t really sure what to make of the situation. You wanted to scream and shout and tell everyone to mind their own fucking business, but you also wanted to see their point of view, and why in the hell they were so adamant that you two liked each other. You wanted to see what they were seeing.
"Why'd Jaemin walk out?" Hinjae asks as she moves across the room to sit with you, Juwon rolling her eyes after being ditched- but nonetheless she moved and sat down on the floor in front of you, her arms hugging your legs.
You shrugged, "Your guess is as good as mine."
"I reckon it's 'cause you said that Jaemin would only ever be your friend," Juwon looked up at you innocently, but you knew where she was heading with this. "And since he has feelings for you, it hurts him and now he's dying inside knowing that he'll only be your friend." She fake pouts and you near enough give into the urge of kneeing her in the face.
"Please," you scoff, unamused with her words. "He doesn't like me, we're too good of friends to ruin what we have by a silly crush, or whatever. I'm done talking about it, I'm gonna go find him."
"Y/N..." Hinjae starts, but you shake your head.
"Nope. I'm seriously done with ever talking about this ever again. I don't know how many times you need me to tell you that we don't like each other like that. I have a fucking boyfriend, for fucks sake, and yet you still think I'm in love with one of my best friends." You shove Juwon's hands off your legs so you could stand up.
She grunts in annoyance, "That was rude."
"No, it wasn't." You start walking off before turning on your heels to look at your two best friends. "You wanna know what is rude? The fact you two disrespect my relationship with Yeonjun with this dumb fuck of a joke. No more, I mean it." And with that, you leave the room with your heart in your throat. How could your friends even think that you'd like Jaemin? It feels all too repetitive. You need to clear the air with Jaemin and put a stop to these accusations.
"Well," Jeno voices out for the first time that night- no one would lie, they low-key forgot he was in the room, he was so quiet observing everything around him. "That could have gone a lot better if Haechan and Juwon didn't open their mouths."
Juwon snaps her head to Jeno, a scowl on her face. "If Haechan didn't say anything in the first place, then Y/N wouldn't be annoyed at me."
Hinjae laughs, "As if this is the first time you've said something about them two. You literally were going on about it at her house."
"So were you. Don't act like you don't say shit, because you do." Juwon retaliates, her arms crossing over her chest.
"I never said I didn't. I'm only pointing out your shitty behaviour to our precious Y/N." Hinjae picks her feet up from the floor to sit cross-legged on the sofa, her elbows resting on her knees. "We've both, well, all been shitty towards her. Maybe she's right. Maybe we do have to drop the subject and start believing her, it's the least we can do to make it up to her from all the times we've commented about it."
Juwon shakes her head. "Nope. I'm not going to just drop this all like that. It's so obvious they like each other, and no amount of lying and shouting will make me think otherwise. I know you think the same, so don't say you don't."
"Juwon, come on, it's not fair on her." Hinjae sighs. "I know I'm not a saint in this, I know that, but we've got to listen to her when she says it's enough."
"Yeonjun doesn't deserve her, she's too good for him, she always has been and always will." Juwon's voice comes out soft and caring. "I just want her to be truly happy... and I think Jaemin can do that."
Hinjae runs her fingers through her hair and glances up at the door to see a figure standing there. "What are you doing back in here? You finally calmed down from your outburst?"
"Ha ha, very funny," Haechan rolls his eyes and flops down next to Jeno. "Y/N kicked me out of the kitchen. She wants to speak to Jaemin in private."
"Are they in there now?" Jeno asks.
Haechan looks at him as if he's the dumbest person in the world. "Obviously. Did you not hear what I just said?"
You could hear the others voices echoing down the corridor, but you couldn't make out what was being said. That was probably for the best. You don't think you could argue with anyone right now, you weren't in the mood to ruin your night anymore.
"You wanted to talk?" Jaemin leans an elbow against the countertop, his eyes searching your face to see if anything was wrong, and from how stressed out you looked, something was wrong.
"Uh, yeah," you clear your throat and move to sit on a stool by the kitchen island. "Um, I'm not too sure how to word this, let alone say it to you..."
Jaemin senses your nerves, "It's okay, take your time. I'm not going anywhere."
Your heart swells. See? He was such a good best friend. Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
"Um... I don't know if the boys have said anything to do, but Hinjae and Juwon won't stop going on about the two of us having feelings for each other." You feel weird as you finally voice what's been going on, but nonetheless, you keep going. "I know how crazy it sounds— we're literally best friends, so I'm sorry if speaking about this makes you uncomfortable, but I just need to get this off my chest before I go berserk and Yeonjun thinks I've gone insane."
Jaemin stands up straight, shoving his hands in the pockets of his joggers. "Yeah, um, the boys have said something along the lines of that..."
"Really? Ugh, fuck." You drop your head and groan. You can't believe how out of proportion this has gotten. It only started as a small comment by Juwon, but ever since then, it's turned into something your whole friend group talks about.
"Y/N," the way Jaemin says your name causes you to raise your head. You meet his eyes and you take notice of how soft and apologetic they look— it makes your stomach churn, but his gaze doesn't falter. "I have a feeling I know why they've been saying we like each other.."
"Can you believe we've been together for two years now?" You goofy smiled as Yeonjun led you to his bedroom. You wanted to be a little upset that you're spending your anniversary at his college dorm, but you were just happy that he made enough free time in his schedule to allow you to come over.
Hinjae and Juwon said that was the "Bare-fucking-minimum", but your excuse was that he was just busy and wasn't allowed much free time as he always needs to be at baseball practice or his coach will kill him.
Yeonjun jumps on his gaming chair and immediately turns on his PC. You roll your eyes playfully, knowing that he doesn't get much time to play on it. "Wow, I can't believe you're choosing your games over your own girlfriend."
"What?" He spins around in his chair, watching you fiddle with the string on your— his— hoodie, a not so pleasant look on his face. "Don't start with the annoying girlfriend shit tonight, I'm not in the mood to argue."
"Huh— what are you on about? I was just joking, I wasn't being serious." You try and play it off light-hearted, not wanting to put a downer on the night you want to remember. "So... do you have anything else planned for tonight? Like, uh, a special dinner? Or a movie marathon?"
You wait for Yeonjun to respond, but he doesn't. He just shoves on his headset and starts up a game with some of his friends.
You sigh and flop down on his bed, pulling your phone out and scrolling through whatever social media app has any updates for you. Not much was happening on the apps, so you decided to message your group chat.
You: what's everyone doing
Hinjae: we’re studying. why are you on your phone? shouldn't you be on a date rn?????
Juwon: do u rlly believe yeonjun would take her on a date cos i dont
Haechan: stop messaging here and go fuck yj or sumn
You: who said u could talk???
You: n e wayssss we're just chillin at his dorm. hes on his pc playing a game with some friends so im just like,,,,, chilling
Juwon: of course
Juwon: thats so fucking typical of him
Hinjae: juwon what did i say the other night
Juwon: idc im entitled to my own opinion
Hinjae: not rn you arent
Jaemin: whats going on?? is everything okay?? is y/n okay....
You: im fine. gtg
As soon as you saw Jaemin had messaged in the group chat, you rolled your eyes and turned your phone off.
You wanted to forgive and forget what he said the other night, but you just couldn't. Your friends have been relentless with claiming you like each other, all to find out that it was Jaemin who had started the whole fiasco. He was the one who told Jeno that he's starting to gain feelings for you, and that you may like him back but he wasn't too sure. And of course, Haechan was being a little earworm and snitched to Juwon and Hinjae about what he had heard— so ever since then, you've been trying to deny everything and keep it a secret from Yeonjun. You have no idea how he would react.
“The game crashed. Are you hungry?” Yeonjun stood from his gaming chair and headed towards his bedroom door. “Are you getting up, or what?”
“Huh— oh, sorry.” You apologised and scooted off his bed, following behind him until you were in the kitchen. For some reason, you felt out of place being here. You don’t know why it suddenly feels weird being at his dorm, you’ve been here plenty of times and have felt comfortable. But today, was different.
You felt strange when you first walked in, but you brushed it off and thought nothing of it. You shook your head and silently scolded yourself for even thinking you didn’t belong in your own boyfriends dorm. Maybe eating would help— after all, you were starving.
“What are we having for food?” You stood in the corner of the kitchen as you watched Yeonjun type something on his phone and then rummage around the cabinets. “I know it’s our anniversary, but I’m not opposed to ordering food in. Only as long as it’s something I enjoy, too. I’m not eating that weird jelly shit you ordered last time, that was horrible.” You shake your head in disgust at the memory.
“There’s some ramen packets in the cupboard,” he pulls out two ramen packets and hands them to you. “Make ‘em for us.”
“What?” You scoff, shoving them back at him. Normally, you would’ve just gotten on with what he wants you to do; you wanted to be a good girlfriend for him. “Why do I have to make it? Why can’t we order something nice in, or go out for a nice meal. It’s our anniversary.”
Yeonjun groans and shuts the cupboard with a slam. “I don’t care what day or occasion it is, Y/N. Just make the ramen and be quiet.”
You blink. You weren’t really sure how to respond to that. You knew that he wasn’t a massive fan of doing anything celebratory, but that doesn’t give him the right to be rude and disrespectful on a day you want to cherish. Maybe the others were right. Maybe you do deserve to be treated better.
“Yeonjun, I’m not making ramen.”
“Then starve for all I care, I’m having it.” He rips open a singular packet and begins doing whatever needs to be done. You just stand in the corner watching him with squinted eyes.
Your brain racks for any reasonable excuse as to why he’s behaving like a complete dick; but nothing comes up. You’ve always known that Yeonjun is temperamental, even his friends had warned you about it, but you never cared. You’ve liked him for so long, and now that you’re actually dating him, you don’t want to see the bad in him… but that wall is starting to break, and you’re seeing all the ugly you should’ve seen ages ago.
"Are you seriously copping a strop because you didn't wanna make ramen?" Yeonjun turns his head to look at you, one of his hands stirring the ramen absentmindedly.
You inhale deeply and slowly release your breath, calming yourself as you didn't want to make a scene. "I'm not stropping, Yeonjun. I'm just upset, and it has nothing to do with the ramen."
"Seems to me like it's about ramen." He shrugs.
"It's not about the damn ramen!" Okay, out the window goes the idea of staying calm. "It's our fucking two year anniversary and we're at your dorm doing what, exactly? Nothing. We're doing nothing! You're on your stupid PC and I'm waiting for you to say something sweet and loving, just literally anything to make me feel as if our relationship isn't a waste."
Yeonjun nods his head and hums, "Okay, cool. So... you're clearly on your period and going through some personal shit right now. Happy anniversary and that, but you should probably go home and sleep off your mood, I don't want your negative nelly ass near me."
Your jaw dropped open, "I beg your pardon? How— how can you say that to me?"
"What? It's the truth, is it not?" Yeonjun shrugs his shoulders again and focuses his attention back on his cooking ramen. "It's probably something to do with that friend, Jaemin, you have... I wouldn't be surprised anyway."
"I can't believe this is happening." You shake your head in disbelief. "Whenever you think I have a problem it always results in you blaming Jaemin. He has nothing to do with this."
"Oh, yeah?" Yeonjun throws the spoon in his hand onto the counter with a loud clang. "Is that why you're wearing his hoodie then? If Jaemin has nothing to do with this, then why are you wearing his fucking clothes, huh? Are you being a little whore and fucking him behind my back? Are you enjoying toying with his feelings whilst you lay in my bed? Jaemin has everything to do with your shitty attitude tonight."
“I’m leaving.”
“I don’t really care,” Yeonjun turns his back to you. “I know you’ll come back to me when you’ve realised you’re in the wrong. Get home safely.”
You could practically hear the sarcasm dripping off his voice. You weren’t going to say anything back— you shoved your shoes on and slammed the door behind you. God, why did he have to be such an utter jerk? Hinjae was right; he is going to break your heart one day.
You pressed your back against his dorm's front door, a deep sigh escaping your lips as you wondered what in the hell your relationship meant to Yeonjun? You’ve never seen this side to him until now; it didn’t make any sense to you. You wanted to understand his mind, you wanted to see what he saw in you, you wanted to believe that you meant something to him… you wanted to believe that he actually loved you.
You shake your head, ridding your horrible thoughts. He wouldn’t be with you if he didn’t love you, right? Right?
“Enough, Y/N.” You scold yourself as you push yourself off the door and head out of the building. Your house wasn’t too far from the college campus, so you decided to take a nice walk home to clear your head. Yeah, what a nice walk this is. Not. All you can think about was the things Yeonjun had said to you. They were constantly playing over and over again in your head, that you weren't focused on where you were walking, until a hand dragged you back on to the path before you ended up flat on the road.
"Jesus, Y/N, watch where you're going would you?" Haechan's voice sounds in your ears. You looked up at him with a frightened face. He shook his head at you in disappointment, but his hand never left your arm until he knew you were okay. "What do you think you're doing? You're going to get yourself killed."
You opened your mouth to speak, but no words came out. You were a little shocked at your current circumstance— it didn't feel real. You were hoping this was some crazy daydreaming vision, and that you're actually snuggled up next to your boyfriend in his bed watching a romantic film... but each time you blink, the more you come to your senses and realise you weren't daydreaming at all.
"Sorry... I wasn't paying attention," you let out a shaky breath and Haechan let go of your arm; his hand now on the small of your back as he guided you down the street.
"You're lucky I was there, you could've been flattened on the road, Y/N." He scolds you again. It seems like he's not going to let this go. "I'm not letting this go, you know that, right?" Can he read minds?
You sigh and nod your head, "Yep... but can we not tell anyone? Especially Hinjae and Juwon; they'll kill me for nearly getting killed. They've given me countless lectures on being 'road safe', and I'm pretty sure I'll get another lecture if they find out." You stop and look up at him with pleading eyes. "I know this isn't really worth begging over, but can you not tell them? Or anyone? They may blame it on what happened the other night..."
"Ah, I see," Haechan nods his head. "You don't want them to think you were gonna walk into a road full of cars because of what Jaemin had told you. It's fine, I get it. My lips are sealed. But don't think I'm forgetting this, okay?"
You go to kick him in the shin but he dodges with a chuckle. "I'm messing with you. Of course, I won't tell anyone... no matter the reason why." He gives you a funny side glance and you roll your eyes.
Today really wasn't panning out to what you had expected. It's your two year anniversary, and here you are walking down the street with Haechan after he just saved your life. It's definitely one for the books.
You couldn’t help but think back to the argument with Yeonjun— well, could you even call it an argument? It was more him having a go at you, well, not having a go per say, but like… you didn’t know how to word it. You wanted to classify it as an argument, but whoever you tell it to, they’ll say that it wasn’t. All you can do is try and forget what happened and not dwell on it… easier said than done.
“Hey, aren’t you meant to be fucking Yeonjun right now?” Haechan blurts out, not thinking before he speaks yet again.
You hold your breath— is it worth lying? Probably not.
“Um, we had a bit of a disagreement.” You give him a tight lipped smile as you fell instep with each other. You were planning on heading home, but from the way you were feeling right now, you think it’s best if you keep some company, so you keep walking with Haechan to wherever he’s heading.
Haechan squints down at you, "A disagreement, huh? Are you telling the truth? Y'know what Juwon says about liars—"
"Yes, I know." You roll your eyes. "I never know why she says that liars grow a single hair on their chest each time they lie. She's weird, I don't know why I'm friends with her." You were joking, but there was a little seriousness in your voice— Haechan always thought the same thing, too.
"... So, are you telling the truth?" Haechan pushes.
"Yes... no, well, it's a difficult situation, okay?" You cross your arms over your chest with a huff, annoyed that Haechan was even bringing up Yeonjun when clearly he knew something was up. "He said something about me and Jaemin, and it turned into him being a dick, so I left."
Haechan hums and nods his head. He knew what you meant by that. Anyone would know what you meant by 'said something about me and Jaemin'. A lot of people on college campus knew of the rumours, too. Fuck all your friends for having blabber mouths.
"I don't know why, or how- actually, I do, but it started off so stupid, and then it turned into something bigger than intended and now I don't where it leaves me and him." You sigh deeply, wanting everything to just be normal for once. "He told me to go home and sleep off my mood, and that I'll go back to him once I realise I'm in the wrong. God. He's such a dick, why haven't I seen this side of him before?"
Haechan kept silent as you ranted out loud. You knew he was taking everything in, and taking mental notes. Sometimes you took Haechan's friendship for granted. He was the type of friend to curse you out on your shitty actions, but he wouldn't even blink an eye if someone needed advice or help— it was a strange combination when you think about it. But, in times like this, he was worth all the harsh advice and warm hugs.
"Why did Jaemin have to say something?" You groaned and mentally cursed him for opening his mouth. "If anything, I should be blaming him for ruining my relationship, he was the one that started all this! Yeonjun blames him for a lot of things that are wrong with us, maybe he's right, and maybe I don't want to see it because he's my best friend." Now you're frowning with a pout on your lips.
"Hey, don't start blaming Jaemin, that's not fair." Haechan corrects you in a stern voice. "It doesn't matter if he did or didn't say something, your relationship has been sucking ass as soon as you two started dating. None of this is Jaemin's fault. It's Yeonjun's. He's the one with all the issues."
"But, if Jaemin never said anything to begin with, things may just be a little bit better—"
"Nope. They really wouldn't. Yeonjun sucks ass, and not in a good way." Haechan shakes his head.
“I don’t like you.”
“Ha, sure you don’t.” Haechan laughs as he grabs your arm and leads you across the road. You end up standing outside the library off-campus. You squint up at the sign and look at Haechan with a confused face.
“Why are we at the library?”
“‘Cos everyone is here studying. And don’t look at me like that,” he rolls his eyes. “I study, too.”
You hold in a laugh and walk into the library with him. Wait— did he say everyone was here? Does that include Jaemin? Because if you’re being honest, you weren’t sure if you were in the right mood to see him. After all, you are holding him accountable for your fight with Yeonjun, even if Haechan says not to.
“Uh, what is she doing with you?” Juwon leans across the table you always sit at whenever you all study together, and looks you up and down. “She’s meant to be with Yeonjun right now… whether we like it or not.”
“Nice to see you too, my beautiful bestie.” You shoot her a sarcastic smile and plonk yourself down upon the spare seat next to her. You lean back against the chair and stare at the boy sitting at the end of the table, an awkward aura comes about the table and everyone stares between you and Jaemin.
“Well, uh, how was your time with Yeonjun? Did he get off his PC?” Hinjae breaks the awkward silence and brings up an even awkward topic.
Haechan snorts and she looks at him, “What?”
“Nothing, nothing,” he shakes his head with a small smile. You glare at him and he stops smiling. “It’s nothing.”
Hinjae squints her eyes at Haechan before turning her attention back to you, "So? Did he get you an anniversary gift? I wonder if he got you that necklace you've been dying to get, you know, that really expensive Tiffany's one."
You shake your head, "No, I didn't get a present... I got an ear full. But I don't want to talk about it, you should keep studying." You gestured to her open books, the majority of them were about the universe and its creation, something you would have no idea where to start studying.
"My books can wait. What happened?" Hinjae goes to close her books but you grab her hand to stop her. "Y/N... it's your two year anniversary and you're here with us, what in the hell happened? We can go somewhere else to talk, if you want. Away from prying ears." She glances at Haechan, but he flashes her a cocky smile and she sticks her tongue out at him.
"I don't want to talk about it, right now, okay?" You sulk into your chair and fiddle with the strings on your hoodie.
Hinjae doesn't press you any further, and you miss the way Jaemin watches you from his end of the table. His eyes rake up and down your torso, his eyebrows slightly lifting when he realises what you're wearing. You're wearing his hoodie, and you wore it to see your boyfriend. He fights the urge for his lips to turn up into a smile, but unfortunately, his lips beat him to it.
"What are you smiling at?" Juwon picks up on Jaemin's behaviour and follows his eye-line. Her mouth agapes once she clocks who's hoodie you're wearing. Oh, how her mind is racing with so many possibilities that she wants to voice, but she knew that if she did, she'd hurt your feelings and Hinjae would start a war with her. "Huh, interesting, very interesting."
You feel eyes on you and you catch Juwon and Jaemin staring at you. A frown falls upon your brows and Juwon nudges you and darts her eyes to your item of clothing. You look down and stare at the hoodie wondering if there was a stain, but there wasn't, so you look back up and lock eyes with Jaemin and he just smiles. His perfect and pretty lips just smile at you, and you want to rip them off his perfect and pretty face.
Haechan watches your face contort slightly into a look he knows very well— a muddled mind full of confusing feelings. He knows what's happening, he just hopes nothing bad comes of it.
"We need to talk. Now." You suddenly stand up and grab Jaemin by the collar of his top. He struggles to keep up with you at first, but he quickly gains his composure and follows you swiftly behind a stack of bookshelves right in the corner of the library where no one can see or find you.
He stands in front of you, his eyes watching you intently as you struggle to find your words and any decent thought. Why did you want to talk to him? What was so important that you had to drag him away from everyone?
"Kiss me."
"W—what?" Jaemin spluttered, surprised by your choice of words.
"I need you to kiss me, Jaemin." You sounded stressed. He knew better than to do what you said.
"I'm not going to kiss you, Y/N. You have a boyfriend." He stands his ground, even if it confuses him as to why he's denying a kiss from you. All he's ever wanted to do is kiss you from the moment he laid eyes on you.
You stomp your foot on the ground like a little toddler throwing a tantrum. "Jaemin, now's not the time to be a saint. I just need you to kiss me, that's all."
"That's all? Why do you want me to kiss you? What the fuck is going on?" Jaemin stares at you confusedly.
You pull at your hoodie strings again, "I just need to see something. So, can you just kiss me?"
You can see Jaemin hesitate and his life flashes before his eyes when he sees you take a step closer to him. You stare up at him with eyes full of stars— you've only ever looked at him like this. No one else gets to see the pretty stars in your eyes. They're only for him. He wants to kiss the stars, he wants to kiss them so bad, but he knows better than to give in.
Jaemin steps back and drops his head before looking you in the eyes, ashamed of what he's doing. "I can't, I'm sorry, Y/N. It's just not right..."
"Whatever." You shrug your shoulders acting as if it didn't bother you that he didn't want to kiss you. "You're the one who has feelings for me, so I guess you don't want to help me see how I feel about you."
Jaemin blinks at you in shock. Seriously, what in the hell happened between you and Yeonjun?
"Are we gonna talk about what happened yesterday in the library?" Juwon breaks the silence as the three of you are huddled up together on the sofa watching a film. "I can't be the only one wanting to know why Jaemin suddenly left after Y/N spoke to him."
"I'm sitting right here, you don't have to talk about me like I'm not in the room," you roll your eyes and shift positions, trying to find a comfier position without having Juwon's elbow digging into your ribs.
Hinjae covers up her interest with a fake cough, all the while saying, "I've wanted to know what happened between her and Yeonjun ever since she walked into the library with Haechan."
"Oh, yeah! I forgot she was with Yeonjun yesterday." Juwon nods her head.
You sigh and push both of them off of you, "Again, I'm literally right here." You gesture to yourself. "And it doesn't matter what happened yesterday, it's over."
"It's over!?" Hinjae and Juwon shriek in unison.
"For fucks sake, no! Me and Yeonjun aren't over... I don't really know what we are at the moment, but we aren't over. And before you say anything, me and Jaemin are still friends. I was on about yesterday being over, no relationships." You make your statement clear and lean back against the cushions. "Now, can we watch this film in silence?"
"Fine." Juwon sulks and snuggles back into your side. Hinjae just gives you a funny look before settling back down.
The three of you sat in silence for not even five minutes, and Juwon spoke up again, this time, she was adamant to get an answer from you. "I'm not going to shut my mouth until you say everything that happened yesterday."
You turned to look at her unimpressed with her immature threat. "Nothing new there then."
"Excuse me?" She scoffs. "I'm not the one keeping secrets from her best friends! Tell us what happened, for crying out loud."
"Why do you want to know so bad—"
"Jesus Christ, Y/N." Hinjae sighs, a hand running through her dark, brown hair. "I'm not one to force you into anything, but saying nothing on this matter isn't going to end well. Y'know we could always just ask Jaemin... or even Haechan."
You gasp, "You wouldn't dare!"
"Try me." Hinjae flashes you a challenging grin, and you have no choice but to accept defeat.
"I don't know where to even start..."
Juwon giggles, "I do, I do, I do! Start with when you messaged us at Yeonjun's!"
You roll your eyes and grab the remote to pause the film, "Fine, um... well, when I got there we went straight to his bedroom— not like how you're thinking Juwon." You side eye her after she nudges you playfully. "Then he went straight on his computer to play a game, and I was like, 'Oh, I see how it is, games before your girlfriend', or something like that, and he got really defensive about it."
Hinjae nods her head slowly as she takes everything in. "Then What?" Juwon looks at you all giddy with joy. Either she was excited that you were finally spilling at the gossip, or she was happy to see your relationship in shambles— you were betting on the first option... hopefully.
"After that, I messaged the group chat and it was all good up until he asked me to make him ramen."
"What's wrong with making him ramen?" Juwon furrows her brows confused.
Hinjae shakes her head at her, "It's not the fact he asked her to make him ramen, she was expecting a fancy, or at least a nice dinner for their anniversary, but he wanted her to make ramen like it was any other day." You're so happy that she caught onto the situation straight away. Thank God she was the smart one of the group; it would've been such a headache to explain every last detail to Juwon. "I believe that's where the problem started, huh?"
You nod your head with a tired face, "He was so horrible. He said he didn't care what day it was, and he accused me of sleeping with Jaemin because I accidentally wore his hoodie."
Juwon chokes on her breath, "He accused you of what?!"
Hinjae wraps her arms around your waist and pulls you onto her lap and cradles you like a baby. "What are you doing?"
"I'm soothing you. What does it look like I'm doing?" She speaks as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Juwon scoots over and rests her head on your shoulder and coos in your ear. "Oh, Y/N, I'm sorry that happened. As much as I hate Yeonjun and wish the worst for him, I don't like seeing your relationship in shambles, even if it doesn't come across like that." Juwon snuggles up into you and Hinjae strokes your hair. "You deserve so much, and yet you're being treated like you deserve nothing." You could hear the pout in her voice.
"I asked Jaemin to kiss me yesterday in the library." You quickly changed the tune of the conversation; you didn't want to be babied over, or cooed at. As much as you love the girls for caring for you, you'd rather just suck it up and deal with it.
Juwon shoots up and stands from the sofa, eyes bulging out of her head as she stares down at you. "You what?!"
You move yourself off of Hinaje's lap and to the other end of the sofa so you could look at them both clearly. "I know it's stupid of me to have done that, but I wasn't in the right head space. It was a moment of weakness for me... but I don't regret it."
Hinjae hums but doesn't say a word. Whereas Juwon looks like she's having a mid-life crisis over the new information she's just found out. She begins pacing back and forth around the living room, her fingers tugging at the ends of her hair as she mutters inaudible words under her breath.
"Why are you both acting like this? Juwon, stop moving and sit down, and Hinjae, say something. Literally anything." You bring your knees up to your chest and wrap your arms around your legs. "I know what I said is somewhat hard to take in, but it doesn't change anything. In fact, it probably makes things a lot clearer."
“How does it make things clearer? To me, it looks like a whole fucking mess.” Hinjae rarely swears, but when she does, she’s being serious and doesn’t want any shit from anyone.
“What? How is it a mess? I’m still with Yeonjun, and me and Jaemin are still friends. Everything is fine.” You counteract.
“Fine? Everything is fine?” Hinjae shifts positions so she’s facing you and only you. “Y/N, I love you, but you’re being stupid right now. You can’t just ask someone to kiss when you know they like you, and when you have a fucking boyfriend!” She holds some valid points, but you won’t let her make you think you’ve done wrong.
You run a hand down your face, “Look, what I may have done was random and sudden, but it’s not stupid. It’s helping me figure things out. Just support me for once!”
“Nuh uh, we’re not doing this again.” Juwon jumps in at the right time— she could sense Hinjae was going to shout at you and she wasn’t looking forward to the aftermath of tears and apologies. “Hinjae’s right, you’re being fucking stupid, Y/N. You’re dating Yeonjun and you asked Jaemin to kiss you, why can’t you see how wrong that is? As much as I despise your boyfriend, I don’t want you cheating on him.”
“Oh my God, I haven’t cheated!” You raise your voice and see Juwon raise an eyebrow at you. “It was a spur of the moment thing, okay? Nothing will come of it, so leave it alone. I shouldn’t have said anything in the first place if I knew this was how you guys would react.” You sink into the sofa with a scowl on your face.
“We would’ve found out sooner or later.”
"Well, this couldn't get any more awkward now, could it?" Haechan mumbles under his breath and receives a kick in the shin under the table from Hinjae. "What? It's true."
"Shut up," she hissed, going to kick him again but he pushes his chair back so she couldn't reach.
"So—"
"Jeno, shut up." Hinjae warns him, knowing immediately he was going to say something about the situation.
He nods his head slowly and slouches like a little hurt puppy. You pout at how mean Hinjae is, but she pays no mind to you, completely ignoring you after you called her a snake for inviting everyone round to her place for a 'friendly and relaxing dinner'. By no means is this a friendly and relaxing dinner. Tonight will definitely place number three in your top five worst experiences.
"The food is nice." Jaemin speaks up for the first time tonight, avoiding your direction as Yeonjun is sitting flush next to you— he's not a fan of your friends. How ironic. "Did you follow a recipe?"
You tried to fight a smile, but you failed miserably. "Why are you smiling? Nothing funny was said." Yeonjun eyes you up and down suspiciously, his eyes darted to Jaemin and they made eye contact briefly, but it was enough for him to put some pieces together. "Is it 'cause of him? Are you smiling because of Jaemin?"
"W-what? Can't I just smile without a reason?" You tried to play it off cool, but Yeonjun wasn't buying any of it.
He tuts and shakes his head, "I knew there was something going on between you two." He throws his napkin onto the table and stares at you deeply. "I should've known the minute you didn't deny fucking him. I can't believe I'm dating a cheating whore."
"The fuck did you just call her?" Juwon stabs her knife into the wooden table and you saw a part of Hinjae die inside.
"It's okay, Juwon, don't worry." You give her a sincere smile and glance at Jaemin. You could see he wants to step in and make sure that Yeonjun doesn't get another chance to speak, but he knew if he did, Yeonjun would probably launch himself at him over the table. Men and their alpha male ego's, hey?
She shakes her head, “No. No it’s not okay, how dare he talk to you like that! She’s not a whore, Yeonjun, don’t even insinuate that.”
“Oh, please,” he chuckles, leaning against the back of his chair. “You’re all acting like I don’t know what’s happening here. You,” he points at Hinjae with a scowl, “Invited me here to prove something, I don’t even know why I even bothered coming here. It’s all fucking obvious that Jaemin wants to shove his tiny shrimp dick inside my girlfriend, and I’m not going to sit here and allow him to think that.”
Haechan watches you stare at your plate, your fork pushing the food around as you seem distant from the situation.
You wanted to tell Yeonjun to shut up and stop being a complete asshole, but you just couldn’t. You’ve never really stood up to him before; you’ve just taken any insult he’s thrown your way. You’ve become used to it.
“I think that’s enough.” Haechan stands from his seat and gestures for Yeonjun to leave. “The door is that way.”
Yeonjun scoffs and stands up himself, matching Haechan’s energy. “You want me to leave? Ha, then fucking make me.”
“Oh, I’ll make you—“
“Okay!” Hinjae slams her hands down on the table. “This wasn’t what I had planned for tonight. This wasn’t the way it was supposed to go. Haechan, sit your ass down. Yeonjun, shut the fuck up or leave.”
“Why are you ganging up on me? You’re the one who invited me to this dinner, did you not?” Yeonjun leaned on the table with both of his hands, his head drooping to Hinjae's level to try and intimidate her.
You won't stand for anyone trying to intimidate your friends. "Yeonjun... I think you should leave."
He snaps his head to look at you, his nostrils flaring upon what he had just heard. "You're the one who started all this, Y/N. Don't act like a little life saver. If I leave, you're leaving with me. Now, get up." He goes to grab your arm but doesn't get the opportunity to when someone butts in.
"She's not going anywhere. She's staying here where she's safe." Jaemin stares Yeonjun dead in the eye. No emotion portrayed on his face. You wanted to read his mind— you wanted to know what he was thinking.
"You think I'm going to hurt her?" Yeonjun scoffs. "That's the last thing I would do to her. She ain't staying here, especially near you."
"Just leave." You touch his arm to make him look at you. "Leave."
"Oh, that's right, take his side, why don't you." Yeonjun rolls his eyes and backs away from the table. "You know what, enjoy my sloppy seconds, she wasn't even that good in bed anyway."
"Don't." You shake your head at everyone around the table to not say anything; you could tell it was itching away at them to shout at him, but you didn't think it would've been worth the hassle. A part of you wanted to scream at him for embarrassing you in front of your friends, but then another part of you was glad that this had happened, because in a way, that means you won't have to deal with any of his bullshit ever again.
You all watch him stomp out of Hinjae and Juwon's dorm, silence filling the dining area as soon as the front door slammed.
You picked your knife and fork up, slicing through the food Hinjae had prepared before dropping the cutlery onto the plate and excusing yourself. You knew better than to hide in the bathroom, so you opted for a bedroom. Unfortunately you ended up in Juwon's bedroom, the messiest place on earth because the girl had no sense of cleanliness about her.
"And to answer your question, Jaemin, I didn't follow a recipe. It was all me." Hinjae tried bringing the mood back up, but failed miserably.
"Not the time, Hinjae." Jeno mutters, his legs spreading underneath the table to get comfy.
"Oh, shut up, would you?" Hinjae rolls her eyes.
“Is no one really going to check on Y/N?” Jaemin asks as he looks at each one of his friends, his face dropping when they shake their heads. “Oh… you’re leaving it to me, aren’t you?”
“Well, obviously,” Juwon scoffs. “We’re not the ones who are in love with our best friend, are we? Go on then, chum, go get your girl.”
Jaemin gives Juwon a funny look and then leaves the table, following the faint trail of your perfume to her bedroom. He doesn't bother knocking on the door as he knows that you wouldn't let him in if he did, so barging in was his only other option.
"Y/N... are you okay?" He knew is was a stupid question, because who in their right mind would be okay after their boyfriend calls them a cheating whore in front of their friends? "Sorry, that was a stupid question... but, are you?" He winces when he sees your face all red and puffy from crying after you turned around to look at him.
"What do you think?" Your voice was hoarse and croaky. You felt even more embarrassed reacting like this when he who shall not be named should be the one embarrassed. "God, I feel so fucking stupid. Do you think I'm stupid? Well, that's a given, of course you do."
Jaemin frowns and walks over to you, crouching down in front of you while you sit on the edge of Juwon's bed.
"Y/N, you're not stupid, and I'd never think that." He gently places his hands on your thighs and gives them a gentle squeeze; your eyes dart to his hands, the silver rings adorning his pretty slender fingers make your stomach clench, and now you feel even worse thinking about the things those fingers could do to you.
You droop your head and sigh, your thumbs swiping at the dry tear stains on your cheeks. "Jaemin, why do you like me?"
"Well, uh, because you're a wonderful person, you care about your friends, you also don't put up with their shit, and you also do charity work." Jaemin answers, a slight change of tone in his voice at the end.
You lift your head up and tilt your head, "Charity work?"
"You're dating Yeonjun."
"Oh... oh."
Jaemin nods his head slowly, his hands sliding off your thighs. "Wait." His hands stop on your knees, his eyes searching your own. "Can, um, can I just see something?"
He nods his head.
You reach out and grab one of his hands to bring up to your lips. You hesitate for a split second, but honestly, what were you waiting for? Jaemin has feelings for you, your boyfriend sucks being a boyfriend, you want to say you're still in love with Yeonjun— but you can't say you are— and, and uh, you think you may have been in love with Jaemin this whole time, but you've just been too scared to admit it.
Without another thought, you bring your lips to each finger tip and place soft kisses, your eyes maintaining eye contact with Jaemin as you do so. "Y/N..."
"No," you shake your head. "Don't say anything."
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Jaemin ignores you and speaks anyway, making sure you're in the right state of mind to continue where this seems to be going.
"Yes, now shut up." You continue pressing kisses to his finger tips before slowly trailing down to his palm. Jaemin's breath hitches and he grabs your knee harder with his other hand. Who knew kisses being pressed onto his hand would be so sensual?
He moves his hand away from your lips and cups your cheek, his thumb gently rubbing the apple of your cheek as a small smile falls on his lips. "You're beautiful."
You smile and for a brief moment you seem to forget what happened and all you want is for Jaemin to finally kiss you.
"Can I kiss you?"
"It's about damn time."
"What if someone catches us?" You whisper against Jaemin's lips as he keeps you pressed up against the wall in the corner of his bedroom.
You two were currently ditching a social gig that Hinjae had sporadically planned after the dinner went to shit. This time round, she was hoping for a much better turn out, and from what you can say, it's turning out rather well. Wink wink.
"No one's gonna come up here, don't worry." Jaemin hushes your worries as he continues kissing you. You wanted to protest, but his lips began trailing sloppy wet kisses down the side of your neck and the words got caught in the back of your throat and somehow came out as a strangled moan. "You like that? You like it when I kiss your neck?"
You nod your head, eyes finding his and immediately wanting to fall into his body from how lustful his gaze is.
"I want you to use your words, baby." Jaemin nudges his knee between your legs as he urges you to give him a vocal response. "I want to hear you say that you like it when I kiss your neck. Like this." He swipes his tongue against the soft skin of your neck and lightly blows, your body shivering at the cold sensation, but relaxing as soon as he presses another warm kiss to your neck.
"I— Jaem... I like it when you kiss my neck." You whimper out, crotch lowering onto his knee so you could grind yourself down on him like some kind of bitch dog in heat.
Jaemin snickers at you, "Oh, my darling Y/N, look at you. Humping my leg like the desperate bitch that you are."
"Oh," your eyes roll into the back of your head at the pressure building in your lower abdomen. But if you're being honest, you're edging closer to your orgasm because of the filthy words Jaemin whispers in your ear.
"Can I rip your leggings?"
"Wha—" you shake your head. "No."
"Oops, too late." He smirks at you as he rips a hole between your legs, his fingers diving straight in and pulling your panties to the side. "Pull down my sweats."
You take a moment to collect yourself as your orgasm was no longer on the way, and then you pull down his sweats as far as you could reach. Your eyes widened at the fact he wasn't wearing any boxers; even when all of you were meant to be hanging out.
"You weren't wearing any boxers? What if Juwon pointed out your dick outline?" You gasp, "Or even worse, Haechan pulls down your sweats to prank you and your junk is out for everyone to see?"
"Well," Jaemin grunts as he suddenly pushes himself into you, his jaw locking at how tight your walls feel around him. It's going to take some time to get used to the feeling of you. "My dick is inside you now, so I guess they won't be seeing it."
Your bottom lip quivers, "Fuck. You're so big."
"Damn right I am, baby." Jaemin smirks at you, his hips grinding into your own, and you could swear that he reaches a place Yeonjun could never imagine reaching.
You were loving this new side of Jaemin. Who knew that your best friend had a rather dominant and rough side? If you knew the sex was going to be this good from the start, then you would've ended things with Yeonjun a long time ago. But then you would seem shallow. And then you'd be known as the girl who dumps a boy for a rampage of wild sex. How fun.
"At least pay attention to me when my dick is inside you." Jaemin rolls his eyes at you staring off into space.
"S— sorry," you whimper out an apology just as he hits a deep spot inside you. "I didn't mean to zone out."
"What's going on inside your head?" Jaemin slows down his hips so you could get a sentence out without moaning about how good his cock feels in your tight pussy.
Your leg nearly slips from his waist, but he's quick enough to hook it back around and jerk his hips forward. You forced yourself to keep quiet, you couldn't risk the others down the hall hearing you moan out Jaemin's name when they have no idea that the two of you have been secretly fucking since the awkward dinner last week.
"I don't wanna talk about what I'm thinking, I just want you to fuck me."
"Don't have to tell me twice." Jaemin drops your leg and spins you around so that your chest is squished up against the wall. He wraps one arm around your waist to pull your hips closer to his own— and his other hand sneakily slips down between your legs to rub fast circles on your sensitive clit.
"Ho— holy fuck, Jaemin, go faster." Your eyes squeeze shut as you feel your climax building up once again. Your thighs begin to shake from Jaemin complying with your command.
The sound of skin slapping against skin could be heard from a mile away, so you wouldn't be surprised if the others could hear you. You'd have to lie and deny any accusations thrown your way.
“Shit, you’re so tight, baby. This pussy is mine and only mine. Ain’t no fucking way am I letting your twat of a boyfriend come near this delicious pussy ever again.” Jaemin practically growls against the back of your neck. You rest your forehead against the wall and let every bone in your body get consumed by the pleasure— your orgasm on the brink of exploding.
Your jaw goes slack, “Jae… I’m gonna cum. Keep going.”
“Your wish is my command.” Jaemin picks the speed up of his hips, the force pushing you further against the wall. “Cum for me, baby. I want you to cream all over my cock and make a mess for me.”
Your climax hits you at full force and you near enough collapse on the floor— your knees are giving way and your thighs are shaking. Jaemin’s hips began stuttering from your walls clenching around him like a vice, he knew he wasn’t going to last longer if you kept doing that.
“Please cum, Jaemin, please. Pretty please cum for me.” You beg him so innocently once you gain your posture.
With no other thought floating around in his head, Jaemin quickly pulls out and cums in the palm of his hand. A soft whimper of your name leaving his lips as you turn to watch his cum drip from his hand. “Oh, wow. You came a lot.”
Jaemin chuckles, "Yeah, I did."
A knock sounds on his bedroom door, "Are you two done? We're about to watch a film and you're on snack duty." You hear Haechan's voice call out to you, and your jaw falls to the floor. You gawp at Jaemin who is trying his darned hardest not to burst out laughing.
"I swear to God if you laugh, I will rip your balls off!" You swat his arm. "You ruined my favourite pair of leggings, too!" You look between your legs and see a massive hole in your leggings... and also your inner thighs covered in your arousal. "Get me some of your joggers, it's the least you could do for me."
"Are you guys coming or not?" Haechan calls out to you again after not getting a response.
"Yes!" You shout back at him, annoyance laced in your voice and you could sense him throwing his hands up in surrender. "I'm so dead. Hinjae is gonna throw bricks at me, and Juwon will suffocate me in her sleep. What am I gonna do...?"
Jaemin passes you a spare pair of his joggers, concern written on his face despite having just nearly broken a lung from suppressing a laugh. "Nothing will happen, so don't worry your pretty head, okay?" Hinjae and Juwon will be mad, there's no doubt about that, but it's your decision to do this, not theirs. If you're worried about Yeonjun finding out, don't even think about that jerk."
"I wasn't worrying about Yeonjun until you just mentioned it. Jaemin!" You swat his arm again and he fake cries. "Shut up."
"Just put the joggers on and let's face your worst nightmare." Jaemin helps you into his joggers and throws your ripped leggings into his hamper, taking a mental note to buy you a new pair for your birthday. "Ready?"
"No, but let's go." You deeply sigh and wobble into the front room with Jaemin hot on your tail. "Don't say a thing. I don't want to hear any words come out of your mouths, okay? I know it's wrong to fuck my best friend behind my boyfriend's back, but his dick is so much better." You get your words in before Juwon and Hinjae could get a chance to open their mouths to breathe.
"I don't wanna hear anything from you two either." Jaemin pipes up as he drops himself down next to Jeno. "And yes, I'm a freak in the sheets, and a sweetheart in the streets."
You roll your eyes and awkwardly sit between Hinjae and Juwon who give you the death stare. "Can I—"
"Nope."
"What about—"
"Shut it."
"I can't believe you two are cheating." Haechan decides to ruin the atmosphere even more with his sly comment. You could see his eyes glint with mischief.
"It's not cheating." You huff, your arms crossing over your chest.
"If it weren't cheating, then what would you call it?" He snaps back, his tongue poking out to you to piss you off even more.
"You two are fucking?!" Jeno gasps, and everyone sighs at his slow attention span.
"Jesus Christ."

summary: you make a new friend at a dinner party that your family is attending. there is much in common between the two of you: you love eating biscuits, you love dancing, you love pretending to be stiff-lipped adults when you don’t have a care in the world.
a/n: this was originally a timestamp but then it ended up being really long and well... guess it’s a fic now :’)
“For you, my lady.” Young Donghyuck pretends to bow the way he has been taught, and he holds out a flower to you that looks suspiciously similar to the ones in the planters.
Your response is a “thank you, kind sir” that is stifled by your hands as you accept his gift, giggling as he hands it to you. You spin and your intricate lace dress flares out around you, and Donghyuck laughs when you almost fall over.
The dinner party you both are at is being hosted by a mutual friend of your families. Though this does not mean that your families are on completely good terms with one another, tonight they have at least been able to maintain a sort of cordiality while in each others’ presence.
Donghyuck and you have never met before, not until he noticed you struggling to reach a biscuit from the light snacks table, when he decided that he would help you. His first instinct had been to tell you that your pale pink dress and matching pale pink bow looked nice — it was his go-to at events like this, where there were many people to please and he had to be polite. But when you had turned to him with eyes shining and a cute “thank you”, the words had died in the back of his throat, and all he could do was stammer out a “yes”.
You learned that he was seven years old, like you, and he learned that this was not your first social event, like him. You both had older brothers (Donghyuck had pointed out one of his, Taeyong, from across the room), you both preferred chocolate wafers over vanilla, and you both liked to look at huge chandeliers while standing right underneath them (and every time you did this, your brother Doyoung would come and scoop you up to get you out of the way, as if he was scared it would fall on you).
And, with so many things in common, you wonder why you and Donghyuck have never even seen each other before.
For the time being, you two had been able to escape the watchful eyes of your parents and older brothers. Donghyuck had found the upper corridor and you had followed him eagerly, wanting to get away from the adults. Adults were boring. So was Doyoung, and although you loved him dearly, he could be quite irritable sometimes (especially at fancy parties, where you both were expected to be on your best behavior). It was more difficult for you, since you were never to speak unless spoken to. Until you had met your new friend, you had never talked so much in one night.
“My lady, may I have this dance?” Donghyuck doesn't know how to spin you, so he simply holds up his arm in hopes that you'll spin underneath it by yourself.
“That’s not how you dance, silly!” You twirl and return to your position, with your hands on his shoulders and his hands clutching your dress. (He would never say it out loud, but he's too nervous to touch your waist.)
“It’s an original style,” he says, making you throw your head back as you laugh.
Donghyuck smiles, and once the music downstairs finishes, he touches his lips to the back of your hand just like all the adults do, because that’s what you’re supposed to do when a dance is over.
It’s meant to be lighthearted but to his surprise, you don’t make fun of it. Instead, you blink at him with wide eyes, giggling shyly as you cover your mouth with your tiny hands.
And Hyuck feels strange, some sort of heat blooming across his cheeks as he laughs, kicking a stray pebble that skids on the tiled floor in order to avoid looking you in the eyes.
“Oh —” Your startled tone makes him look up, and he sees that you’re holding your baby-pink ribbon in your hands. It must have come undone while you were dancing. You nervously twist the thin string around your fingers as you make your way over to him. “Um... do you think you could tie it for me? I can’t do it by myself.”
Donghyuck has never even touched a hair ribbon, let alone attempted to tie one. He knows how to make knots, but they aren’t pretty like the way you had the bow in your hair earlier. Not knowing how to start, he simply stands behind you, and after a moment of feeling nothing in your hair, you turn around.
“What’s wrong, Hyuck?”
“I... don’t know how,” he admits. “I’ve never tied a ribbon before.”
“Oh. Well, you should have it, then.” You hold the string out to your friend. “So you can practice!”
“But don’t you need it?”
“We have lots at home! You should keep it instead. Here —” You take his hand and loop the ribbon around his index finger. “I’ll show you.”
“You take the ends and tie a knot,” you begin, “and then you make a circle with one side, and then wrap the other one around the bottom, and then you push this part through.” You carefully tug the ends of the bow into a neat finish, and Donghyuck wonders how you did it so perfectly. He wiggles his index finger to see the ends move, making you smile. “And now you know how to tie it!”
He seems to have a sudden idea and takes your hand in his, pulling you behind him. “Let’s go!”
“Go where?”
“Exploring!”
As he rounds the corner with you, Donghyuck smacks straight into someone else.
“Oh, sor—” He looks up to see who the stranger is, and is met by Doyoung’s harsh glare. “—ry...”
Doyoung cocks his head to see you standing behind the boy, and his expression is surprisingly unreadable. He’s eleven, meaning that you don’t understand anything he does anymore.
“Doie!” you begin excitedly. “This is Donghyuck Lee! He helped me reach the —”
In one swift move, your hand is separated from your friend’s, and you are pulled behind your brother.
“I know who he is,” he says coldly. And to Donghyuck: “Stay away from my sister.”
You protest, trying to grab his arm. “What? But —”
“No.” Shaking you off, Doyoung walks over to your friend, towering above the younger boy in height. “Don’t even think about talking to her again,” he says, jabbing a finger at Hyuck to emphasize his point. “If I catch you looking at her, I’m going to... I’m going to push you!”
“Doie, please!” You stomp on the floor, frustrated. “He’s nice!”
Doyoung walks back over to you and says, “We don’t talk to people —” He lowers his voice. “— like him.”
“Donghyuck!”
From the other end of the corridor, Hyuck’s brother, Taeyong, runs towards the three of you, his dress shoes clacking on the tiles.
“There you are...” And, upon noticing you and Doyoung, he adds, “What are you doing here?”
“Your brother,” Doyoung says, “tried to hurt my sister.”
“That’s not true!” your friend says, but his words work against him.
Taeyong scoffs, crossing his arms. “Oh, please. Tell your stupid sister to stop messing with Donghyuck, then.”
Doyoung gasps, angrily stepping forward. “(Name) is not stupid! And she didn’t do anything!”
“I’m twelve years old. That’s one year older than you, so you can’t tell me what to think.”
“If I ever see him trying to be around her, there will be trouble.”
“Donghyuck would never actually try to be around someone like her.”
“Fine. You believe that. Let’s go, (Name),” he says at last. “And get rid of this ridiculous thing you’re holding.”
Donghyuck’s flower, which had been clutched tightly in your hand for the past few minutes, is suddenly plucked from your grasp and thrown onto the hallway floor. Doyoung prevents you from picking it up, and he takes your wrist and forces you to follow him.
“But Doie —” You cast a glance at your friend. Taeyong has grabbed his brother’s shoulders to prevent him from moving.
“We’re leaving, (Name). I’m telling Mother.” He then notices at the lack of color on the back of your head. “Tsk, and you’ve lost your bow, how irresponsible...”
Donghyuck sees your upset expression as your brother pulls you away, your hand desperately reaching out towards your friend’s. Your eyes plead with him to reach back, but he feels Taeyong’s vice grip on his collar and knows that he shouldn’t. He stays rooted to where he is standing, swallowing as he merely watches.
And you are led out of sight, out of the corridor and into the main building, down the stairs and back to the prim and proper behavior that is expected of you.
“Donghyuck,” Taeyong says, finally releasing him. “Come on.” He walks down the hallway, and the flower the boy had given you earlier is squashed underneath his brother’s pristine shoes. After one last look at the hallway down which you had disappeared, he obeys.
Your pink ribbon flutters in the night breeze, tethered to Donghyuck’s first finger. It’s all he has left of you from tonight, because you, briefly gracing him with your presence, were never to see him again.
[10:52 pm] — tw: guns, knives
“not bad, officer.” criminal!jeno spits out the last word as if it leaves a bad taste in his mouth. he runs his thumb along the smooth hilt of his dagger, the other end pointed at your throat. “not bad at all.”
you stare back at him, your expression vacant, defiant. “empty threats.” the way you say it is almost casual, and he presses the blade to your skin, cold from the night wind chill.
“i can kill you.”
“you could’ve already,” you say, unfazed as you run your fingers over the rough concrete wall, your hands bound by the very cuffs you came here with. “last week, yesterday, tonight—but you haven’t.”
he eyes you skeptically, but you sigh, as if he was a child and you had explained this lesson to him a hundred times over.
“did you really think i came out here to kill you, jeno?” he doesn’t answer. “i’m not armed.”
“liar. you always keep your pistol hidden.”
“it’s empty. see for yourself,” you say, your tone confident (or is it arrogant?). “check the barrel.”
jeno reaches down to your boot and pulls out your handgun. clicking the barrel open, he tips it upside down and shakes it. the scene is almost comedic, and you’re fleetingly reminded that the gun was never his preferred weapon of choice. but granted, it isn’t yours, either.
he wordlessly drops the pistol and kicks it aside, the metal scraping across the ground as it skids away. “drama queen,” you say, leaning against the wall with a small smirk on your face.
“you expect me to trust you just because you came all this way without a weapon?” he asks, raising an eyebrow.
“yes. i came here to talk to you.”
“you’re a fool.”
“so are you.” pushing off the wall with your foot, you make your way over to him and turn around expectantly, holding out your wrists to be freed. “the key’s on my belt, if you don’t mind.” the way you converse with him is something similar to that of partners, but his behavior is more like that of a mere acquaintance. he takes the key in silence and, a moment later, the lock clicks open, the cuffs falling to the floor.
“what is it.”
“come back,” you whisper. “we need you.”
“you don’t,” he says shortly. his gaze bores into yours, and you’re not sure whether he’s trying to intimidate you. but after all these years, you’ve never been one to pin that quality on him, and tonight is no exception.
“i could get them to clear your name. you could come back to the department and—”
“and be a compulsive rule-follower like you? keeping the laws doesn’t mean you get to keep your head, you know.” the words don’t sting because you know he’s right. you could almost call yourself touched at the way he remembered your words, when it’s been years since you confided in him about it.
“it means i don’t run. if only you could see the bigger picture.”
he steps back, his expression grave. “if only you weren’t blind.”
the sounds of distant shouts fill the streets—your fellow officers are looking for you. jeno turns to leave.
“wait.” taking the dagger from his hand, you nick the skin above your cheek in one swift motion and hand the weapon back. “better to escape with this.” you were already preparing a story to tell the others—he had bested you, and you had barely escaped with your life.
you’re still in the middle of coming up with a decent explanation for how you managed it when jeno suddenly advances towards you. tilting your chin up, he surprises you with a quick kiss, one that lingers in the evening air.
“do you miss it,” you breathe, staring up at him. he only looks back at you, saying nothing, but in the dim light you watch his eyes.
yes.
the shouting is getting louder, and he slides the dagger into its sheath before taking off. you watch him cross the city rooftops, a dark shadow growing ever smaller as he melts into the night.

bad boy!lucas loves it when you call him luca. you’d misheard his name the first time you met at a coffee shop, his eyes flirtatious but his cheeks rosy pink as he tried to flirt with you. you were different, somehow.
maybe it was the way your pretty brown eyes glimmered amusedly as he introduced himself with a slight stammer that even he didn’t know was capable from his confident persona. maybe it was the way your slender, pretty hands tucked strands of soft black hair behind your ear when they fell to cover your eyes. maybe it was the perfect girl-next-door aura you seemed to radiate - the girl everyone’s parents would want them to marry, the girl everyone in the community showered with love because she did the same.
lucas doesn’t know why he was drawn to someone so different from himself at the first glance, but he hadn’t had the opportunity to give it a second thought since he fell into your eyes - a beautiful brown ocean he knew he loved to get lost in.
he thinks the name luca had a different feel to it than his actual name: a typical name for a boy-next-door, perhaps. it makes him feel as if he is closer to you mentally, especially as he tucks your hair behind your ear and softly cups your cheeks with his big hands - his fingers stretching to support the back of your neck - as he leans in to kiss you. you feel him smiling, and know he can feel the same. you pull him closer by wrapping your arms around his neck with a giggle.
he knows you love him for whoever he is, but he has an overwhelming, insatiable desire to feel even closer to you. lucas would gladly become luca if it would make your parents like him even a bit more - if it would let you love him forever.

you punch best friend!doyoung’s shoulder as he laughs, teasing you about the way your face reddens every time you talk to johnny. doyoung thinks your blush is adorable - although he would never admit it to you - and wants you to find happiness in a romantic relationship. doyoung is always complaining about how you keep dragging him out of his comfy bed on weekends because you don’t have a boyfriend to go on a date with. maybe if you got a boyfriend, you wouldn’t blow up his phone every saturday with constant texts and calls begging him to go to a new restaurant or café you discovered online.
but when you call doyoung to squeal and announce that johnny asked you out, doyoung feels a pang in his stomach he can’t quite decipher. he smiles, though, because he can practically hear you beaming from over the phone. your voice trembles with happiness and love, and doyoung laughs to congratulate you for finally scoring yourself a hot boyfriend. he tells himself it’s a win-win situation now; as much as he loves his best friend, doyoung is a homebody who wants a break on saturdays.
well, at least he’d thought so. as the weeks pass by and you start calling johnny instead of doyoung, texting johnny instead of doyoung, asking johnny to go to restaurants on saturdays instead of doyoung, doyoung finds himself missing you more and more. the two of you do meet up occasionally, text, and call, but it doesn’t feel the same anymore - especially when you get distracted by johnny texting you. although doyoung had expected this, he feels less important to you - unimportant, even.
doyoung thought he would be happy for the both of you when you started dating johnny, but as the days pass, the only thought on his mind becomes the fact that he misses you. doyoung misses you and your late night calls, your voice melting into soft, deep breaths as you fell asleep before him; he misses your constant updates about cute boys you saw at coffee shops; and he misses your habit of interlocking your fingers with his subconsciously when you were bored. he misses taking you for drives to target at midnight and cracking stupid jokes only the two of you would laugh at; he misses you always letting him borrow your oversized jacket, as he gets cold easily and you’re naturally cold-resistant; and he misses having you sleep over for movie night, lending you one of his smallest hoodies that still seems to engulf your smaller body, leaning on each other for comfort, and blurting dumb comments throughout the entire movie until one of you tells the other to shut up.
but above all, doyoung misses being the most important boy in your life - since you’re still the most important girl in his.

heartbreaker!jungwoo thought he knew exactly how to get you to fall hopelessly in love with him. it had worked with everyone else. jungwoo had never failed to win a heart over with his endearing laugh that made his eyes curve into pretty crescent moons; his playful teasing that brought shy blushes to countless cheeks; and his puppy brown eyes that gazed and glimmered in concentration into the other person’s bashful eyes during a conversation.
and jungwoo had thought he’d won you over, like every other time. when he asked you out, though, you rejected him.
it wasn’t like you weren’t in love with jungwoo - it was impossible not to be, after all those late night calls, jungwoo teasing you in the morning when you fell asleep first, snoring lightly; after all those midnight boba runs, jungwoo helping you sneak out of your house and feel free for the first time in your life; after all those horror movie marathons at his house, jungwoo entwining his hand with yours and squeezing it tightly whenever he got scared; and after all those arcade “dates” that weren’t really dates the two of you went on, jungwoo pouting and continuously refilling the shooting game with coins so that he could have another shot at impressing you with a victory as you giggled.
you were so in love with jungwoo that your heart constantly tried to bang its way out of your chest and throw itself at him, but you knew that jungwoo would absolutely shatter your heart if you trusted him with it.
little did you know that you had shattered jungwoo’s heart for the first time in his life. maybe it had been your lovable laugh that brought a joyful sparkle to your eyes, even at the stupidest jokes; maybe it had been your soft hands squeezing his playfully as jungwoo’s shoulders lifted abruptly at each jump scare; or maybe it had been your beautiful eyes that seemed to whisper demands for him to love you every time jungwoo looked into them.
whatever it had been, jungwoo’s heart had leapt out of his chest before he even realized, and had shattered itself at your feet.

summary: you play never have i ever with four friends - jaehyun, who sulks because he’s just thrown a party for a boy who doesn’t seem to have any interest in him; doyoung, who has an alcohol tolerance as (surprisingly) strong as his tendency to tease johnny; johnny, your best friend since high school who apparently wants to kiss someone in the room; and mark, the sweet boy who blushes when you smile at him.
pairings: college!best friend!johnny x reader x college!mark -> choose your own adventure! (two parts total)
---
you feel so giddily drunk that you can ignore how the bass of the loud music downstairs thumps against your eardrums. johnny has an arm wrapped around your shoulder, sitting on the mini couch as you lean back into him. both of you are clearly drunk and clearly too big for the small sofa, his side squished beneath your back and your legs entangled. johnny mumbles something inaudible and you nod, your mind too clouded to ask your best friend to repeat what he’d said. your attention is more focused on the game between you, johnny, and the three boys in the friend group he’d inserted you into five months ago. you’d known all of them since high school, but hadn’t really talked until the five of you happened to go to the same college. you start to think you regret not befriending them sooner, but immediately scratch out the thought when you remember the time you’d seen freshman jaehyun eat his booger during class.
“never have i ever hosted a big ass party just to stay in my room,” mark giggles from the rug, snapping you from your own thoughts. mark hasn’t had much alcohol tonight, but his cheeks are bright pink and he already seems slightly drunk. “drink up, jaehyun.”
“you can’t do that,” jaehyun protests, glaring at his friend. “this game is stupid.” he jokingly kicks mark’s leg from his spot on the rug next to mark.
“you wouldn’t be playing this stupid game if you were still downstairs trying to impress that boy you threw this party for,” doyoung grins. he’s laying on his stomach on jaehyun’s bed, his red cup set on the floor. “what was his name? taehoon?”
“taeyong,” jaehyun corrects, his ears reddening. he rolls his eyes. “and i didn’t throw the party for him.”
“whatever you say,” doyoung laughs as jaehyun throws the pillow he’s hugging at him. “come on, mark. do another one.”
“never have i ever had sex in a car,” mark blurts, and giggles when jaehyun drinks again. “shit, really? you don’t even have a car.”
"wasn’t mine,” jaehyun mumbles. it’s barely audible, but johnny certainly hears - and notices the way jaehyun looks at him warily.
“shit, don’t tell me it’s mine,” johnny says, his eyes widening.
“ ‘m sorry,” jaehyun groans, and johnny throws his now-empty cup at jaehyun. jaehyun lets it hit him on the shoulder out of guilt, silently refilling it and setting it next to the sofa.
"that’s so fucking gross,” johnny wrinkles his nose. “i’m never lending you my car keys again.”
“it’s not like you didn’t do the same thing on jaehyun’s bed,” you giggle. johnny gasps and practically shoves you off the sofa as you laugh, clinging onto his shoulder to stay on.
“are you serious?” jaehyun’s mouth drops open. “dude!”
doyoung slowly climbs off jaehyun’s bed, taking his seat next to jaehyun on the rug.
“sorry,” johnny bites his lip, cringing as he remembers. “it was, like, years ago. let’s call it even?” he offers, and jaehyun’s about to say something but he shuts his mouth and nods instead. johnny glares at you and slaps your back for good measure, to which you yelp and glare back at your best friend. “never have i ever not had my first kiss,” he smirks.
“is that even allowed?” mark furrows his eyebrows.
“i don’t give a fuck if i don’t have to drink,” jaehyun shrugs. doyoung nods, tracing his finger over the rim of his cup absentmindedly.
“i hate you so fucking much,” you mumble into johnny’s ear as you sip from your cup.
johnny grins.
“holy shit, are you for real?” jaehyun blurts. “i thought you dated jungwoo in high school.”
you wrinkle your nose at the mention of your high school ex of three years. “he was sweet, though we never really did anything more than hold hands and kiss each other’s cheeks. he said he was being careful, but i don’t think he actually ever liked me.”
“pretty sure he’s gay,” doyoung quips in. his eyes dart around the room as everyone turns to him, confused. “what? i thought everyone knew.”
“i mean, that explains a lot,” you sigh. johnny chuckles.
“you know, i could help with, um, that,” mark says playfully, but the way his cheeks blush darker pink gives evidence to the fact that he’s not really joking.
“i’d like it,” you joke, to which mark’s cheeks flush an even brighter red. you shift to a more comfortable position as you feel johnny tense up beneath you. “never have i ever had a wet dream about a celebrity.”
no one drinks.
you shrug. “worth a try.”
doyoung’s eyes flash with amusement at an idea that pops to his mind. “what about - never have i ever had a wet dream about one of my friends.”
johnny shoots doyoung a murderous look, to which the latter teasingly returns an innocent smile. he leans over to grab his cup next to jaehyun, who has already drank from his cup.
“seriously?” you say, furrowing your eyebrows as johnny ignores you. “who was it?” you can’t imagine which of your mutual friends it might be - or maybe it isn’t one of your mutual friends.
“i’m not telling,” he grumbles, “i’m never telling doyoung anything again.”
“don’t be petty, john,” jaehyun cooes, but it sounds more like a drawl with the amount of alcohol he’s been consuming. “it happens to the best of us.”
“doesn’t happen to me,” doyoung hums playfully and winks at you before passing the beer so that jaehyun and mark can refill their cups. you don’t notice that mark had emptied his cup until he fans his extremely red face with a cough.
it’s jaehyun’s turn. jaehyun taps his fingers against his cup in thought before he practically laughs at his own idea. “never have i - never have i ever thought of kissing someone in this room,” jaehyun stifles drunk giggles as doyoung grins, as if he knows something the others don’t.
you blush, knowing what jaehyun had intended from the previous questions. you and mark simultaneously drink from your cups, cheeks flaming.
“i think you have to drink too, jae,” doyoung smiles, and jaehyun’s brows cross in thought before he nods.
“shit, you’re right,” jaehyun laughs. “johnny, you too, come on.”
johnny looks like he would break jaehyun’s precious game console if he’d been given the chance. he groans. “i don’t know why i agreed to this game.”
jaehyun giggles. “i love you,” he mockingly bats his eyelashes up at his friend.
“no,” johnny deadpans, throwing his empty cup at him again. jaehyun catches it this time with another giggle, doing the favor of filling it up to compensate for leaking his secret.
“you never told me you were bi,” you say, feeling slightly left out of the joke. johnny had never mentioned being attracted to a boy, much less mentioned being attracted to jaehyun. you’d thought you were johnny’s best friend, but maybe he didn’t trust you with everything. “when did you and jaehyun kiss?”
jaehyun chokes on his drink, sputtering as his eyes meet yours. “what? we didn’t-” he coughs, and clears his throat. jaehyun suppresses another drunk giggle as a realization comes to mind. “we didn’t.”
“just shut up,” johnny rolls his eyes. “you’re so fucking dumb.” you pout in mock hurt. johnny ignores it, glaring at jaehyun and doyoung. “and seriously, you guys. drop it.”
doyoung purses his lips to contain his laughter, and jaehyun giggles. you’re rather confused at the silent interaction between the three boys - and mark is too, from the confused look in his eyes.
you feel slightly nauseous. perhaps it’s partly because of the alcohol, but you suspect it’s because of the idea that you seem to know much less about johnny than two people he’d only befriended a few years ago.
you tap your fingers against the arm of the sofa, subconsciously shifting a bit away from johnny. it’s a wary habit of yours that johnny immediately notices.
“it’s nothing, (y/n), i promise,” he sighs. “i... i need a break.” johnny gets up from his seat, dislodging you in the process. your eyebrows knit together in confusion when johnny leaves the room, the door slamming behind him as if to release his repressed frustration.
“shit, he’s mad,” jaehyun mutters, “did we go too far?”
doyoung nods, getting up from his spot on the rug. “we should go talk to him.” he eyes you and mark before nodding at jaehyun to follow him. “let’s go.”
the door shuts behind jaehyun and doyoung, and you and mark make eye contact in both confusion and nervousness. you stare at mark and he stares at you for what seems like an eternity but is probably only a moment - and the two of you break out into giggles at the awkward situation.
"that was kinda crazy,” you say with a grin. you’re still worried about johnny, but the lighter mood seems to replace the tension buzzing in the room. “i honestly don’t know what’s happening.”
mark nods, humming in agreement. “i feel like i’m missing out on something. i didn’t know the three of them were that close, you know?”
“right?” you say, heart racing at the fact that mark agreed. “it feels like- like i don’t really know anything about johnny.”
mark suddenly takes an interest in the blue zig-zags of jaehyun’s carpet, tracing the patterns with his finger. “um,” he starts, “are you and johnny um - i mean, do you, like,” he gulps. your eyes dart from his fingers to his face, perplexed. “do you like johnny?”
your mouth forms an ‘o’ shape as you wave your hands. “no!” you exclaim, louder than you mean to. you cringe. “i mean, no. we’re just friends - best friends since high school.” you frown. “at least i think so.”
“good,” mark blurts, and blushes immediately as a smile carves its way on your face. “i-i mean, that’s good.”
you think it’s cute - or rather, you think he’s cute. it’s not as if you’d been completely oblivious to the way mark snuck glances at you in the library during group study sessions, or the way mark would always remember your favorite strawberry drink without asking whenever he brought food, or the way his cheeks blushed whenever you told him he looked cute today. if you had a type, it would probably be adorable, bright, giggly mark lee - not tall, handsome, sensible johnny suh. wait, what?
you shake the thought from your mind, smiling at mark. “why do you ask?” you say. you both know the answer already, and the words hang between you in jaehyun’s dimly-lit bedroom, waiting to be plucked out of thin air.
“do you want to go out for coffee sometime?” mark smiles, the corners of his pretty pink lips pursing into his cheeks. it’s a shy smile that accompanies wide, sparkling eyes that look up at you from the rug in anticipation. “this time, not as, well, friends.”
“yes,” you say - it comes out as more of a breath than a statement, and it makes you wonder if you mirror the same anticipation in mark’s eyes. “i’d love to.”
the door suddenly bangs open, and both of you whip your heads to see johnny stumbling from the doorway - as if he’d been leaning on it. he quickly regains his balance, but is frozen in place, eyes flickering between you and mark. “i,” johnny starts. he can’t seem to continue. the loud music that had been muffled by the door is now beating in your ears, only adding to your prior headache.
“h-have you been there for...?” you lick your lips, which suddenly feel parched.
johnny clears his throat. “no,” he says, but can’t look you in the eyes, staring at the floor instead.
you know he’s lying - how could you not, after all the years you’d known him? but why would he lie? your mind nags you, and you push the thought to the back of your mind. johnny obviously doesn’t feel comfortable telling you about whatever’s happening to him. your eyes sting, and you swallow thickly to prevent yourself from crying.
“i need a breath,” you mutter, getting up from the sofa to make your way down jaehyun’s stairs. you think you see something like regret in johnny’s dark brown eyes, but you’re so upset that you intentionally shove past him on your way out the door and storm outside.
it’s dark and cold. jaehyun’s house is rather big - especially compared to the dorms most students live in - and rather far from any of the dorms. the chilly night air brushes up against your cheeks, and you don’t feel the strength to walk back to your dorm in the endless darkness right now. you groan and make your way to the side of jaehyun’s house, right next to a window in the living room that provides a dim light on the asphalt ground. your legs buckle as you lean against the wall besides the window, head between your legs as you try to calm your headache. you want to scream - and cry - and laugh. “shit,” you blurt, finally, and almost laugh at the word.
“hey,” a quiet voice interrupts your thoughts, a soothing breeze in midst of the storm. “let’s go, i’ll walk you home.”
it’s time to choose.
who is the person who follows you outside? is it
mark: the cute boy who blushes when you smile at him but has successfully asked you out on a coffee date?
or
johnny: your best friend who has been acting strange recently but who still holds a special place in your heart?

A/N: I post this after one or two years in my drafts. So hope you like it and remember I did not re-read this, so there may be some grammar mistakes.
Lmao I suck at descriptions. So please don’t mind my nonsense I wrote there. Hope you have fun reading this. 😊💕 @bunniglow
It was a usual day in college. You were seated in the front row of the lecture hall. There wasn't much to say about you. You were just an ordinary girl. Well you heard other people say you were a nerd but that wasn't really you. They said those things because you always sat in the front row, hadn't a lot of friends and sat in the library when you weren't at your apartment or at your workplace.
You were a barista in a cafe near your college. Most of the people who came to get a drink were students. At first you found it good because they weren't much people who had a huge age gap. But after some time it got really annoying. Most of the people who ordered were rude. They had an attitude that made you ponder how they were treated at home to be this disrespectful. Customers that weren't students were nice, sometimes too nice. You hadn't anything against talking with a customer when you had time but you definitely were against their flirting attempts. The only thing they created was uncomfortableness. So you rushed to get them out of your view which was kind of hard sometimes. Overall you didn't like your job much but it was your only source of money and they paid well, so you didn't want to complain.
The things students were thinking about you were false prejudices. You sat in the front row because you didn't want to see other students in front of you. You wanted to have the least contact with them. The front row could secure you this. You weren't afraid of others but you just simply hadn't any motivation to talk to any person about things you considered as indifferent. This was also the reason why you had barely friends. The only friend you had was a girl you met on your first day in your first semester who introduced herself as Charlotte or Charly as she wants to be called like this. You actually didn't want to talk to her at first but she was so persistent that in the end you gave in. After your first talk with her you learned that she was also your roommate. You couldn't have been happier. You had guessed you would get the worst roommate.
She definitely wasn't the best roomate. She was the reason why you spent so little time in the apartment. She had a boyfriend and whenever he came over you were out of view after you learned it the hard way. The first time you thought it would be okay to sit in your room and learn for the upcoming exams but you were proven wrong. You didn't know they both would be this loud. So you had to take your earphones in. Even with the music in full volume, you couldn't veneer their voices. So you gave up and walked out of the door. Since then you avoided being in the apartment when he was present. But he was there most of the time so you just had the library as an escape.
As you sat in the front row and draw on the cover of your block, gasped could be heard. So you lifted your head to see what made people so shocked. A male student stood in the door frame and he looked like a rich kid who gets spoiled from his parents frequently. He had a ripped blue jeans and a grey polo shirt with a denim jacket over on. His shoes were from an expensive sport label. They were black with a dark blue hashtag on the sides. He had a watch on that was way more expensive than anything that belonged to you. His hair which was dark brown was styled back. He looked through the rows and halted when he saw you. He locked eyes with you and a small smile appeared on his handsome face before he started to walk to the back row.
Charly suddenly came from behind you and sat down next to you. You didn't question her why she was sitting behind you but you were definitely confused.
"Oh my gosh Y/N. He looked at you and he even smiled. You're soooo lucky." Your friend said with excitement and a huge smile on her face.
"What? Whom are you referring to?"
"Girl are you serious?" She deadpanned. "Jung Jaehyun just looked at you. Fucking Jung Jaehyun."
"Jung who? Who is this?"
Her smile dropped and she seemed to get a little annoyed.
"Jung Jaehyun. The hot guy that smiled at you like a minute ago." When she saw that you were still a little confused she added. "You know, the guy with the expensive clothes on."
"Ohh you mean the rich kid. Ahh yeah uhm what's with him? He can look at anybody he wants to. Maybe he saw something on my face or so."
She gave you a disapproving look but before she could speak again the professor came and the lecture began.
Not even five minutes into the lecture and you were getting bored. You just wanted to sleep. But this didn't seem like a good idea when you were in front of the prof. You didn't want him to think his lecture was uninteresting so you came to the conclusion to just continue your drawing.
When it finally ended you were the first out of the hall and went straight to the cafeteria. You were starving so much because you couldn't get to eat in the morning. You set an alarm on your phone and went to sleep but you forgot to charge your phone over the night. So the battery of your phone died and with that your alarm wasn't going to give any tone. You were woken up by Charly in the morning. She was already dressed and ate something. She thought you were already gone but heard you mumbling something so she came to wake you. You were truly thankful to her. If she wasn't there, you would have been in trouble.
You were the first to arrive in the cafeteria. The lady behind the counter already knew what you were going to buy. In the time you were walking to the counter, the old lady already had your order finished.
"Y/N nice to see you again. You weren't here for quiet a time." The old lady kinda made a pouting face and that brought both of you to laugh.
"I'm sorry. I was just kinda busy. But I promise I'll be here more often in the future. And thank you for finishing it up before I even arrived." You gave her a thumbs up and as you saw the people gathering in the cafeteria you quickly said your leave and made your way to the exit.
But before you left you saw Jaehyun shortly looking at you. You didn't gave it much of a thought but it stil didn't go unnoticed.
You sat on the rooftop and waited for Charly. For the first time she said she would bring her boyfriend with her. You didn't know what to say and you were kind of nervous.
You bit in your salami sandwich and enjoyed the view. You liked the rooftop a lot. You found yourself always interested in your surrounding. You wanted to take pictures of old houses or just a street full of people in the shopping area. The look down from the roof was facinating everytime you went there. The people going to their different lectures. You could already tell who was in his first semester and who wasn't. The people in their first semesters were kind of confused where they had to go. When you thought back to the time when you were in your first semester it was the same for you. Even after half a year you didn't knew what building you had to enter. A good thing was that Charly was there for you. And it was kind of strange that she always knew where they had to go. But you didn't complain.
Loud voices brought you back to reality. Even if Charly was coming with her boyfriend, they were too many voices...too many male voices. You turned around and saw your friend with 5 guys around her.
When she saw you looking at her she greeted you. The guys stopped talking and the attention was now on you. They were all really good looking and also had expensive things on. You recognized Jaehyun among them.
The first person that talked was a really tall guy. He had black hair and his arm was around Charly's waist. So he had to be her boyfriend or other ways it would have been odd. "Hey, I'm Johnny. I'm Charly's boyfriend. Nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you." He said smiling.
Charly prickled him in the side. She rolled her eyes at him and then turned back to you. "He says it like it was something bad we talked about. But dont worry, we just talked about good things." She winked at you and you couldn't contain a laugh.
"It's fine. I don't even know what you could say about me. I mean, I'm not that interesting." You said with a shrug but still with a smile plastered on your face. If Jaehyun wouldn't stand next to Johnny, you would've missed the frown on his face. It didn't last long and that made unsure. Maybe you just imagined it?
The next to speak was a guy with red hair. He wasn't as tall as Johnny but taller than you. You didn't know why but he gave you the feeling as if he was the leader of the clique. Could you say leader? But like the person that arranged most of the meetings outside the college. "I'm Taeyong. Nice to meet you." He was really polite as he gave you his hand to shake. "I mean I don't know if you already know my name but I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you too." You said with a slighty timid attitude.
You didn't know why you were shy all of a sudden. But this was your first time to speak to so many people. It made you nervous as hell. You just didn't know why this feeling came only now.
A guy with dark hair spoke next. He kind of reminded you of a bunny. A really cute bunny to that. "I'm Doyoung." He came and gave you a hug. It took you off guard and you seemed to look as surprised as you felt because Doyoung apologized as soon as he saw your face. "I'm always like this. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." "What? No you didn't made me feel uncomfortable. I was just surprised. That's all. No need to apologize for your kindness." You briskly responded. This time you saw Jaehyun lifting an eyebrow at you. You quickly looked away from him and at ten only person you dodmt know the name of yet.
He didn't look like the other guys but still handsome. Your gut feeling was right and he introduced himself as Yuta. He came from Japan.
"Oh really you're from Japan? That's cool. I've always wanted to go there but I didn't had enough time or money to do that." You exclaimed happily.
"Hey if you ever go there just message me on Instagram and I'll give you a tour around." You nodded and smiled at this.
This caused an unhappy look on Jaehyun's face and you weren't sure anymore if you even wanted to be introduced to him. In this short time you saw him. He looked more pissed than happy. Didn't he smile at you hours ago? Why would he be like this then?
Even after a moment of silence and all eyes on Jaehyun, he hadn't said anything. Just looked at you. Which pissed you more off. As everyone could see the tension between you two, Taeyong decided to speak up. "So uhm this is Jaehyun. Well normally he isn't like this and actually the most hyper of us but today he seems off." Jaehyun shot a glare at Taeyong but still remained silent.
After uncomfortable silence you all decided to talk about useless stuff. You actually got really good along with Yuta and Doyoung. Between your conversations with them you felt your eyes always looking at Jaehyun. Even if he didn't say a word to you till now, he did seem to wake your interests. But you just shrugged it off as he didn't show any signs.
You learned a whole lot about them. They are called RSB which means 'Rich Since Birth'. Out of their pronunciation you knew they didn't like that name. A lot of people think they got to this university just because of money and that their grades are bought. They were also known as the prettiest group of friends on campus. Despite the number of people that hated them, they were a lot more that liked them. Liked them way too much. They got a lot of love confessions. Heck how old were the people who confessed? They weren't in high school anymore. They should know better. You never really understood people who confessed their love to someone who they barely knew.
You exchanged numbers with almost everyone there. Jaehyun was the only person you didn't feel to get quite along with and this wasn't how you wished it would be. He didn't even say bye to you and just disappeared from your view.
You said your goodbye to everyone else and went to your lecture. It was the first time you weren't one of the first people to arrive but one of the last. Thus there wasn't a seat available in the front row. You had to go to the middle. At first you felt uncomfortable but it got better with time. You looked around and saw Jaehyun in the front row. You probably scoffed too loud and also glared too obviously at Jaehyun as everyone was now looking at you two. He seemed to notice the unwanted attention on him and turned around to see you glaring at him. He still had this annoying look and this made you seemingly insecure as you took your back and exit the room right before the prof came.
For the rest of the day you just sat on your bed and read a book. You didn't really care about what you read and you also didn't concentrate while you read but you needed something to bring you on other thoughts. Tomorrow would be more miserable than today because you knew most of the people were going to talk about you and Jaehyun and what ifs could be between you two.
When Carly arrived she also asked you holes in your stomach. You said that you never saw him in the front row before and just on the day you couldn't sit in the front he sits there. Like he was provoking you. She responded, you thought too much into it and it probably wasn't on purpose. Moreover it was just a seat so what was the problem? And she was right. What was your problem to even begin with?
After almost a week the rumors about you didn't stop. You thought that people would have been bored after not being fed with more stuff but you were wrong. It was Jaehyun everyone was talking about. So this couldn't last just one week. It had to be longer and it annoyed you a lot. Not to your surprise Jaehyun ignored you. When he didn't ignore you he sent you glares over the room. You knew it was your fault but what could you do? The damage was wrought. The rumors were from Y/N just wanted attention from him to Y/N is pregnant with Jaehyun's child. Sometimes you laughed about their silliness but you were also shocked to what extent people thought of you. How you just were after his money or other stuff. Did people even thought before they talked?
You still held your contact with the other boys. They weren't about what you did but they found it hilarious. When you sat on the rooftop to tell them what happened they all laughed their asses off telling you, you did great. You didn't even wanted to understand what they meant with you doing great.
After like another month the rumors kind of shut down. They weren't completely eradicated but less than weeks ago.
You were on your way to the rooftop when Jaehyun wrote in the group chat you all decided to open a few weeks ago. You didn't even need to look to say what he wrote. The only thing he always wrote was that he didn't come to the rooftop.
You already heard a lot of people talking on the rooftop. You squinted your eyes as soon as you walked out of the door. The sun beamed in your face so you had to take a hand to cover your eyes. To your surprise Jaehyun was sitting there and chatting with the others.
You took out your phone and read the message he wrote in the group chat.
Today I'm coming to the roof - boy who always glares👀 (11:56am)
You felt your phone being taken away from Doyoung. Even with trying, you couldn't hold a grasp on your phone. "Ohhhh guys, do you know how Y/N saved Jaehyun in her contact list?" Everyone shoke their head and Doyoung jumped around like a hyper pony. "Doyoung, I warn you. Shut the fuck up and give me my phone back." You glared at him and the angry voice was audible. But Doyoung just shoke his head. "She saved him as boy who always glares. She even has two eyes emojis behind this."
Everyone laughed expect you and Jaehyun. You looked panicked at him and he seemed happy. He had a huge smile on his face.
You went to Doyoung and ripped your phone out of his hands. You glared at him one last time before you walked to the others and sat down.
Everyone seemed to have calmed down. So Jaehyun took the opportunity to speak first. "You all know Sicheng right? He's holding a party on Friday and he ask me if I could bring some of my friends."
"Uhhh Sicheng is holding a party? I'm definitely in." Said Yuta with a grin. He looked happier than you've seen him before. Did he had a thing for Sicheng?
You leaned in to Carly and hold a hand in front of your mouth before you whispered to her. "Who is Sicheng?"
"He's also in the clique. You just don't see him often."
"Ah Jaehyun I assume your also in for it." After Jaehyun nodded Doyoung added "So why do we all not just meet up at the party. A little fun can't damage, right?" Jaehyun looked at you and for the first time in weeks you didn't saw him glare at you or anything. He actually had a small smile on his lips which had you smiling unconscious. You weren't sure of what to say to the offer but Charly already agreed for you.
It was Friday evening and you were getting ready for the party. Charly put make up on for you.
When you were in high school you actually wanted to do stuff like this. But you gave up after months of trying. Whenever you made yourself pretty in your eyes and went to your parents they said you looked like a clown or something.
"Ok, I'm finished. You look amazing Y/N." Carly praised herself. You stood in front of a mirror. You put on a short black dress. You didn't have a lot of dresses in your wardrobe and this was the best and expensive looking, so you decided fot this one.
On the way to Sicheng's home ,where the party was on going, you kinda felt nervous again. You weren't much of a party type. Your bed was much more comfortable than a drunk people who collided with you. But Charly pleaded you the whole week to come with her. It wouldn't be fun without you. So you gave in.
When Sicheng's house was in sight you already saw a lot of drunk people in his dooryard. It wasn't even past 9pm and here you were struggling to even come to his front door because a dude had to fall in front of you and nearly spelled all of his drink on you. Thanks to Carly this didn't happen. She pulled you back a little and the red cup landed in front of your shoes. Due to smell the cup had to have vodka in it.
Finally inside it wasn't better. More drunk people could be seen. The only difference was that they also danced awfully to the music. They hadn't any rhythm to the beat but what do you expect from intoxicated students.
Suddenly a guy came to your side. He was tall and looked like someone who would spent his time with the " RSB " kids since his clothing looked just as expensive as from Jaehyun. But you couldn't deny that he still looked pretty handsome. The only thing didn't matching was that he was here. He looked too cute to even come to this party. So what was he doing here?
"Hey I'm Sicheng. I assume you're Y/N." Your eyes almost fell out from your staring. He was the person who throw the party. He looked like an introverted person and not someone with so many connections. Your prejudice was again wrong.
You felt Carly pinching your waist. Sicheng looked amused by you and you finally realized you just stared at him and not even said a single word. It would be too awkward to say anything now and to your relief Sicheng spoke again. "Well since Carly already told me about you, you don't have to introduce yourself, I guess. Do you two want to come with me to the basement? The others are already there. We play billiards. I'm not that good so I came up to look if anything is damaged." He smiled at the both of you and Carly dragged you with her to the basement.
Sicheng disappeared briefly in the kitchen and came back with three red cups. You rather didn't plan on drinking anything because you knew you hadn't the best alcohol tolerance. Nonetheless you accepted the cup amd followed both downstairs. The landing was small and it wasn't really illuminated.
The room was large. The walls were black which let the room seem smaller than he actually was. Paintings were on two walls. One was yellow with white and black mixed in it and the other showed a boy with his back looking. He sat on a stone and around him was water. It seemed like the stone was his only lifeboat. Further away in the background you could see a forest. It definitely didn't look appealing. The forest was dark green mixed with black.
Although it was the basement it had a big window. You could see the garden through the window. The garden was also large. The trees were organized after their length. There was a path between the trees that led to a shed. Other than this there was also a big pool were a lot of people were crowded around.
Back in the room was a billiard table and Yuta played against Taeyong. Taeyong was in lead. There was also a couch were Doyoung, Johnny, Carly and Sicheng sat. You didn't notice the two left your side. A table was in front of the couch and chaird were placed around the table. Even though most of the people were here, Jaehyun was missing. This made you a little disappointed. You were looking kinda forward to see him.
Your best option was to go to the others on the couch. Once you settled down Johnny suggested to play truth or dare. You weren't really in the mood for it but what exactly could go wrong. Yuta and Taeyong also gathered around the table and Doyoung placed an empty bottle in the middle of the table. The chair to your left wasn't occupied. You took the opportunity and ask where Jaehyun was. "We actually don't know. He was here a while ago and suddenly he was gone. He probably is upstairs kissing with some chick." This earned Johnny a lot of glares from the other boys and Carly kicked him. Johnny just looked questionable at the others. Sicheng whispered something into Johnny's ear and he looked apologetic at you. Now it was your turn to look confused. Taeyong opened his mouth to say something when the door opened and revealed Jaehyun. He sat down on the only chair that was left and drunk his alcohol mix. Nobody asked him where he was and instead Taeyong spun the bottle.
It stopped at Yuta and he chose dare. Doyoung dared him to call Mark and confess to him his love for Sicheng. Taeyong who sat on your right told you who Mark was. He was also part of the clique but a semester under them. They knew him since middle school. The phone ringing stopped Taeyong from speaking more. After the fifth ring Mark accepted the call. The whole thing was really funny because Mark had to be sleeping already as his answers made no sense. He wished the new couple congratulations although Yuta only talked about his love for Sicheng and not returned love.
Yuta spun the bottle and this time it stopped at Jaehyun. He chose truth. "Do you have someone who you like?" Doyoung briskly asked. Jaehyun stiffened for a moment before his eyes met yours and he seemed to get more nervous. He eventually looked back at Doyoung. "Yeah I do have someone." A lot of oohhhs could be heard and Johnny asked who it was but Jaehyun didn't spell any tea.
You felt Jaehyun's glimpse on you again but you decided to ignore it. You began to get nervous. Jaehyun spun the bottle and oh how predictably. It stopped at you. If you chose truth, you would have become a question like Jaehyun. You decided for dare which was the worse decision.
As the rounds before Doyoung talked. "I dare you to kiss the person to your left." You couldn't believe this. Why did it had to be Jaehyun? You didn't dare to look at him. Instead you looked around and nobody was really shocked about the statement expect you and Jaehyun. You slowly turned your head to your left and locked eyes with him. He seemed as nervous as you. You hesitated but you moved forward to him. You halted in front of his face. Your noses were touching, never breaking eye contact. Your heart beat a lot faster than you wanted and you were sure he could hear it from his position. As you appeared to not move forward anymore, he took the chance and placed his lips in yours. You closed your eyes. He moved slowly and you took up with his pace. He leaned back and you opened your eyes to see shocked faces of the others. You looked back at him and saw him trying to conceal a smile which brought a small smile to creep up on your face.
"Wow. I never thought you would really do this." Doyoung said as shaken as he looked. You took the first sip of your drink and it soured your throat.
You all didn't speak about this and just moved on to continue your game. After some time you excused yourself to get you a new drink. You weren't drunk but definitely a little tipsy.
You made your way out of the door and proceeded your way up the stairs. As you almost arrived upstairs a hand touched your shoulder. You turned around and saw Jaehyun behold you. His eyes were dark and it made him even more handsome. His eyes flickered between your eyes and your lips as he came closer and briefly kissed you on the lips, just to examine your expression. When you didn't move away or anything, he kissed you again. This time deeper than in the game. His lips were soft as they moved against your own. He pushed you against the wall and your hands moved upwards his torso and around his neck. The feeling of his hands on your side sending chills through your body. One of his hands moved to your back and then squeezed lightly your butt. A moan escaped your lips before you could stop it. Jaehyun grunted at this.
"Do you know how long I've waited for this? I couldn't hold it in anymore. Why do you have to wear this short dress? It looks so fucking good on you." He said pressing you more against the wall. He kissed your jaw down to your neck and sucked till purple bruises began to form. He moved to your ear and nibbled at it. This let another moan escape as you moved your head back which gave him more access to your neck. Your leg moved around his and you felt a bulge touch the space between your legs. You felt yourself getting more wet.
"Hey what do you think about getting in one of the rooms upstairs?" He said in between kisses. You stopped and looked at him. "Isn't this Sicheng's house? Can we really do it?" You asked a little nervous because the bulge was driving you crazy and you actually couldn't really wait anymore. "It's no problem. We actually kind of a share the house."
So you two went upstairs in a room that also had his walls painted in a dark color. You couldn't really make your surrounding out since you were to busy undressing and then exploring Jaehyun's body.
He led you to the bed and laid you down, so he could hover over you. He undressed you whilst you slid your fingers along his abs. When he was done he kissed you from your lips down to your stomach. Every now and then he left hickeys on your skin. You whimpered everytime he touched your inner thighs with his fingers. He stroke your inner thighs slowly upwards till he was on your core. His mouth came in contact with your ear as he whispered. "You're so wet for me babe. I love how you react to every touch I make." His voice was deep as he pinched your left breast. You whimpered again and goosebumps were making its way down your arms. You arched your back when he suddenly inserted a finger. He nibbled on your right breast and massaged the other with his hand that wasn't occupied with your lower body. After little time he inserted the next finger. You couldn't handle all of this anymore and you felt a bunch forming in your stomach. "Jaehyun...I-" you couldn't finish your sentence. Jaehyun quickened his pace with his fingers and his tongue. It didn't need much and you road of your orgasm. He maintained eye contact while he went down and licked all your juice up.
When you came down from your high, Jaehyun opened a drawer next to the bed and fetched a condom. "You okay babe? You can take more?" He asked while he looked back at you. His dark eyes showed sincerity. Instead of just answering you kissed him passionately and one hand wandered down his stomach to his cock. You wrapped your hands around it and pumped a few times. He groaned and let his head roll back. His eyes closed as he whispered sweet nothings in the air. He stopped your hand movements and slipped the condom over his cock. He positioned himself in front of your entrance and slid without a warning inside. You cried out and felt a single tear roll down your cheek. He swiped it away and kissed your cheeks. He waited till you were ready to take more of him. He began with a slow pace and from time to time he quickened it. You kissed his jaw down to his neck. You started to suck at his neck and he moaned at the feeling of your lips on his skin. "Jaehyun baby...I think I'm-" "No wait just a little bit more okay?" You nodded along. His movements became loppier and you knew he was also close. He kissed you sloppily and you moaned against his lips when you road off your next climax. Jaehyun still pumped a few times into you before he also reached his high.
He collapsed on you and you two breathed heavily. You could feel his breath on your neck. He slipped off his condom and you laid your head on his chest. He swung his arm around your middle and you two fall asleep.
You woke up from the feeling of a body that pulled you closer. The person hid his face in the crock of your neck. You heard a knock on the door. "Jaehyun I know you're in there. Wake up. The others already made breakfast." Sicheng's voice appeared behind the door. "And don't try to hide the fact that Y/N is also in there. We know what you two did last night. So hurry up and come down." Doyoung added. You were red as a tomato thanks to Doyoung's remark.
When you two arrived at the table in the kitchen, 12 eyes looked at you. You just sheepishly smiled and sat down without saying any word that could lead to a conversation you weren't willing to have. Jaehyun sst down next to you and this made you even more nervous.
"So you two lovebirds. Aren't gonna say anything important to us that might as well should be shared by now?" Johnny interrogated with a goofish smile.
"Well..uhmm..Y/N and I are together, I guess?" Jaehyun stated or more like questioned. You knew he wasn't sure if you saw it the same way he saw it. You two could just had a one night stand and there wasn't feelings on your side. But you quickly vanished his thoughts when you took his hand in yours and said proudly but also embarrassed. "Yeah. Today is our first day as a couple."
The others laughed at your awkwardness and you released a breath you didn't even know you were holding. "Finally. Ohh I thought you two wouldn't check it. I mean how dumb are you two that- oww. That hurt." Johnny pouted at his girlfriend whereas Carly glared at him. "Wait do you mean finally?" you asked confused. "Did you really never saw Jaehyun staring at you. He did it like everytime you were near us. I thought his eyeballs would fall out." Taeyong laughed as Jaehyun's ears reddened and he looked down in embarrassment.
The first day you two went to school and hold hands on the way to your class, other students gasped and it was quickly gossiped all over the campus that Jung Jaehyun was dating Y/N Y/L/N. Even now you couldn't believe how fast information were spread around the campus. It all felt surreal. Jaehyun the hot topic ever since you knew about him and you the nerd who anyone never really cared about. Now you were the center from all. Some students said negative things like you were after his money or you just wanted popularity others said you two looked really cute or simply envied you. You weren't familiar with all this attention and it definitely wasn't something you ever wanted but you had to deal with it, so it had to work somehow.
Your first date was the cutest shit ever. He took you to a romance movie and hold hands the entire time the film played. Once the movie was over you two went to the Hangang Park. You sat on a bench and talked for hours. He was such a nice gentlemen the whole day you couldn’t belive it. Sadness was visible on both of your faces when you had to say goodbye. He gave you kiss and left.
After a month Jaehyun convinced you to come with him to a party one of his friends was hosting. If you remembered right his name was Ten. He was holding a party in the top floor of his parents' hotel. You didn't knew how you should dress yourself as you didn't have such expensive clothes that all of the people on the party would have. You couldn't tell Jaehyun about your problem because you knew he would buy you a dress and that was te least you wanted him to do. You didn't knew how to pay him back.
A knock on your apartment door made you jump off the couch and walking towards it. You opened the door a gap and looked at the guest. It was a old man in a black suit. He had a white shirt under the suit and a black bowtie on. He also had thick glasses on. You looked at him expecting. What was an old man doing in front of your door? And why did he look like a chauffeur? "Hello my is Bervald. I'm here to give you this present from Mr. Jung. He is waiting in the car outside. Please dress quickly." He bowed and left the gift on the doorway. You quickly took the box and opened it. It was a salmon ruched side jumper dress and next to the dress were matching ankle boots. You quickly changed and put some makeup on. Just so much that it wouldn't look too bad. You stumbled out of your door and saw Jaehyun waiving through the window. He was sitting in a limousine and you honestly were overwhelmed by the view of your boyfriend sitting in it. Bervald opened the door for you and you gladly thanked him before entering the car.
"Hey babe." He greeted with a brief kiss on the lips. "Hey. Did you buy this dress for me? I don't know when I'll be able to pay you back." You said with an uncomfortable look. "I knew you would say this. It's okay. I bought this because I love you and I refuse to get money from you for this." He took your hand and placed his soft lips on top it. Then he smiled at you and you saw those dimples you loved so much on him. You couldn't be angry or anything with him when he was like this. So you smiled at him and nodded along.
When you arrived at the hotel you felt kinda nervous. You only knew Jaehyun at the party as he said that the others couldn't come. He took your hand in his and led you to the elevator. The elevator drove all the up to the top floor and when the doors opened you already saw what felt lika a thousand people partying. Most of them were already drunk. Jaehyun guided you through the mass of people and you were going stairs upwards to a room.
A security guard stood in front of the door. He had broad shoulders and looked serious. Jaehyun said his name and the name looked through what you assumed was a name list. After he found the name he stepped aside and you and Jaehyun could go in. The room was quieter. It played a different music than in the entrance.
A man approached you who was shorter than Jaehyun. He looked like a instance of a rich kid. Neatly, and well the look on his face that proverbial said I'm rich. But nonethelessly he looked like a really nice guy. He hugged Jaehyun. "Jaehyun, Hey. Is this your girlfriend everybody's talking about?" He then looked at you with a wide grin. "Nice to meet you. I'm Ten. With whom do I have the honor?" He stretched his hand for you to take out. You took his hand and shoke it. "I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you too."
He led you to a table with 3 other guys and 1 woman. You three sat down and Ten introduced them all to you. A man that looked as short as Ten was Taeil and he somehow sent the same vibes as Yuta. Right beside Taeil sat Mark. He was the same guy Yuta called on the party month ago. And Jungwoo was beside Mark. Mark seemed like a little boy and Jungwoo was really cute. The only other woman in the round was named Si Jin. She looked pissed off for no reason. Her attitude was rude toward you but to the others she was the nicest person altogether.
Jaehyun bend his head to you and said he would leave for a short time as Ten wants to show him something he just purchased. He kissed you on the cheek and then disappeared in another room. You were left with Si Jin.
"So you love Jaehyun?" She eyed you up and down. You couldn't feel more uncomfortable under her sight. "Yes, I do." You said more to yourself than to her. You never said those words to Jaehyun but he said it permanently to you. You disappointed yourself. Why was it like this?
“You seem more like the type of girl that is just after his money. Stay away from him.“ She said with arrogance. “I’m not after his money. And you’re not someone I obey. So don’t interfere in the relationship with Jaehyun because I don’t think you’re winning anything out of it.“ You snapped at her. She just laughed and spilled the drink she had in her hand over her dress. The others were coming back and Si Jin looked angry and sad at the same time. Ten was the first to arrive. “Si Jin what happened to you?“ “Y/N spilled the drink over me and insulted me because she thinks I’ve a thing for Jaehyun.“
Your mouth opened but nothing came out. You were shocked that she played such dirty tricks. You glanced at Jaehyun and he looked angry at you. Was he really believing her? “Y/N see what you did. Her dress is entirely transparent. How could you humiliate her like this?“ Ten yelled at you. “I wasn’t even the one who did this to begin with. Why would I do something like this. I now my limits.“ You said while feeling yourself getting angry. Your eyebrows furrowed and the displeasure of his words were truly visible on your face. “So are you blaming her? Why would she do this to herself hmm? She’s a good friend of mine and she wouldn’t do anything like this.“ Jaehyun rose his voice at you. It was the first time that he was so angry at you. Even the looks of his ignorance were better than this situation. Everyone in the room was now looking at the scenario that took place in front of them. Your heart shattered at the sight of your boyfriend. How could he have so little trust in you? You wanted to fight back at him but what would happen? He didn’t believe you indifferent of what you said. Tears showered your face but he didn’t care. “I would never do such a thing to a person and I thought you know me. But I guess I was wrong. You never trusted me in the first place. So bye Jaehyun. Have a good life.“ You mockingly said the last words before exiting the room and the hotel.
You walked all the way home. You couldn’t care less about the people that looked wary at you. You couldn’t stop thinking about the look you saw on Si Jin’s face before you left. She smiled mischievously at you. How come he didn’t notice this?
Back in your apartment Carly already waited at you. She expected you to come home smiling like an idiot or calling you and tell her you weren’t coming home. But she definitely never expected to see you crying like baby. She ran to you and gave you a heartwarming hug. “Hey, hey everything’s fine. Calm down.“ She ran his hand over your back in an attempt to soothe you. It just achieved the opposite and you were crying more and more. You missed Jaehyun and her hand on your back let you feel more miserable than you already were.
After you calmed down you told Carly the whole story. She couldn’t believe what she just heard. “You mean this bitch tricked everyone on the party? And Jaehyun didn’t took your side but instead hers? Is he this much of a dumbass?“ She was upset at Jaehyun. She suggested to wach a movie and she also brought ice cream. The two of you chatted the rest of the night away. You couldn’t stop thinking about Jaehyun but you didn’t want Carly to feel pity because she couldn’t help you.
The next day you weren’t in the condition to go to any lecture. You were heartbroken that’s for sure but you also had one of the worst headaches in your life. Thanks to your headache you throw frequently up. Besides you had to convince Carly to go to the lecture because she thought it would be better if she helped you. But you actually didn’t want to see anybody, so she gave in.
You slept most of the day away and when you woke up in the evening your headache thankfully mitigated. Carly left you a note on the kitchen counter. She went out with Johnny but she made you a soup. You just had to warm it up in the microwave. You looked at your phone for any notifications but the only persons that messaged you were Carly and Taeyong. Jaehyun didn’t wrote you nor called you. You ate the soup and answered Carly and Taeyong. After that you crawled under your blanket again and doze off to dreamland.
A slight touch on your shoulder woke you again. A part of you hoped it would be Jaehyun but it were Johnny and Carly. You looked disappointed at them and they took care of you for the rest of the day. They wanted to drag you out but you denied. So you just sat in the living room and they called the others over. Expect Jaehyun everyone was there. You played cards and you weren’t so good at it. You lost like every round but it felt not as frustated as you felt about Jaehyun. Your sadness kinds turned into frustration.
The next week you went to school like how you used to before you knew Jaehyun. Of course they had to be rumors about you. A girl came to you and said. “He finally realized what a hoe you are.“ Then she left. What the hell was wrong with those people? It wasn’t their relationship, so why did everyone want to be a part of it? When you met Jaehyun in class you ignored him. It wasn’t that hard because he did the same with you. But sometimes you would feel him glance at you. You didn’t thought much into it and just continued to listen to the prof.
Even if you were mentally exhausted, you still had to go to work. Every hour you spent there felt like torture. The customers were more rude than before since they knew about the break up. You snapped at a student one day because he said you were too bad in bed to be togehter with. Also you explained yourself to your boss she was beyond pissed. You couldn’t allow you another mistake like this. You smiled at everyone despite their nasty remarks. Your nights were spent crying in your bed. You didn’t care if Carly heard you. You just didn’t wanted this life anymore. Everybody turned their backs to her expect from her few friends she had. Although she was thankful for the friends she gained, she couldn’t help but feel sad. They were still Jaehyun’s friend and you still missed him to death.
Taeyong took you to a new opened cafe one day. He said he felt miserable for yu so he wanted to make you at least a litlle happy. You didn’t commented on this as both of you knew nothing would change your feelings right now. The cafe was rather full but it was nice decorated. There stood fresh flowers on every table and the walls were in a bright orange. It looked new but fancy. The atmosphere felt like the total opposite of the cafe your were working at. but before you could deepen your thoughts Taeyong spoke. “I ordered an Iced Americano for you. I hope you still like it.“ “Ah...yes I still like it.“ You said hesitant. You never talked with him about your favorite drink so why did he knew it? You sat with him for quiet a while before the order was finally ready.
When Taeyong wasn’t coming back with the orders you looked the cafe up for him. He was nowhere to be found. “Y/N, it’s nice to meet you again. I really missed you.“ You heard a very familiar voice saying. There he stood with the two orders in his hand. The person you missed the most out of all. Jaehyun. He had a black jeans and a loosely light blue t-shirt on. For once in the time you saw him he didn’t look like a someone who is rich. he looked like a decent human being. You couldn’t see his face because he managed to also hold a big bouquet of flowers. He hesitantly put the drinks on the table and sat the opposite from you down. The flowers were neatly placed in the middle of the table. “You know..“ he bagan “I was really dumb. I mean I knew you would never do this but I wasn’t thinking in that moment. I don’t know why I said those things to you and ...I’m really sorry. I know this isn’t enough but I couldn’t think of anything else. I just wanted to be honest to you.“ He took your hands in his “Y/N I miss you like crazy. There isn’t a night I don’t think about you and feel like crap. I know this is chliché but what I did was wrong and again I’m truly sorry.“ You could see the sincerity in his eyes but you still weren’t convinced. “If you were so sorry why didn’t you come a week ago?“ Jaehyun couldn’t look you in the eyes as he said his next words. “I was embarrassed. I thought you would hate me to death and...and I didn’t know how to approach you. You never looked at me and you were always the first out of the lecture hall. I was being cowardly and I’m sorry for this.“ A smile creeped its way to your face and you started to laugh. He looked confused at you before you answered his question that was visibly on his face written. “You’re just too cute Jaehyun. I know you’re sorry and I already forgave you but it was too funny to see your ears getting redder.“ You said inbetween laughs. He smiled at your silliness and you died internally when you saw his dimples you missed so much.
“I love you Y/N.“ He spoke up after a short pause. “I love you too, you idiot.“
