The Nightmare of The Wolf
Was it perfect? No.
Did I enjoy watching it? Yes.
Will I watch it again? Definitely.
That's all for now since a lot of people likely haven't seen the thing yet.

In this essay I will-
Wait so in resident evil 8, Karl Heisenberg was talking to ethan about teaming up together and saving rose but also killing mother Miranda. Now that being said my mind started to drift. What if ethan excepted the offer and they started working together and taking care of rose together? Like two fathers. In my mind, i feel like Karl Heisenberg would be a good father for many reasons. First, since hes a werewolf dilf, he would be protective over them. In my eyes, if you just do what Karl Heisenberg says, hes actually not that bad of a guy. Now with ethan and Karl Heisenberg as roses dads, rose would be very protective. Now at the beginning of their relationship, i feel like ethan would be a bit cautious of Heisenberg because of what Ethan has seen of him. But he starts to realize that he doesnt hurt Rose and that Rose is starting to like Heisenberg. Ethan would start to trust Heisenberg a bit more and more as time went on. Ethan and Heisenberg would start to get closer with each other and it would be like Rose has two dads. But please dont come at me for this💀

Geralt: you could have just sumMONED HIM THE WHOLE TIME???
Regis: uhm.. yes.. but yk I didn't want to hurt his feelings in forcing him-
Can we just imagine how different and how similar The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt Blood and Wine DLC would be if Regis was the unseen elder.
They'd still look for Dettlaff using obscure methods
Orinana's dislike of Regis makes a lot more sense than just his abstinence of blood.
Either you get Syanna (and never "meet" the unseen elder) or you go and see the elder (who is Regis and very very hesitantly orders Dettlaff to the place)
In the end Dettlaff is banished from Toussaint after calling the others to retreat. Regis doesn't have to kill his best friend.
A lot of it would be similar yet some parts different.
Tommy: I’m manly I’ll hug a guy I don’t even care
Alfie: Well I’m manlier I’ll kiss a guy
Tommy: WELL I’ll MARRY a guy [gets on his knees]
Alfie: [puts hand on chest] Mate!

Okay so.. I actually enjoyed Nightmare of the Wolf?? Am I the only one?
Spoilers ahead ig

also don't expect too many words or idk poetry, I'm sick and still crying.. because yes, I cried like the whole second half of the movie.. ever since Luca- :(
The art, the sceneries, the music and the general setting was beautiful, ngl.. also the landscapes? Holy..
I also love Vesemirs character development but I can also understand why he was so 'greedy' in the first place?? I dunno but it makes sense as to why he later is the way he is..
I can also kinda understand Tetra although she was a bit extreme.. Kitsu on the other hand is baby-
I wish we could have seen/learned more of Fils and Vesemirs relationship tho.. or in general more about Fil (to be honest he heavily reminded me of Avallac'h)
Another smol detail I also thought was cool were the witcher belt chains?? Like dis is actually smart-
Also bald queen Geralt with freckles?? Yes please.. also yes please to all the witchers with disabilities!!! Only having one arm or scars or whatever doesn't make you less worth of anything.. I mean look at Sven! Casting those spells like a pro!
I always imagined the sacking of Kaer Morhen differently but I 'liked' their interpretation. Even tho I've seen people say things like "oh it was too weak" or "in the books Geralt almost never struggled with a monster why couldn't they just slay them?" I have some opinions on that:
First of all, Geralt is canonly stronger than most witchers and he also (excuse me if this is only fanon) outlived extra trials which made him 'better' than other witchers
Second, the beasts were controlled by Kitsu and she summoned a few hundred monsters, if not more.. she also summoned not only ghouls or wights but also basilisks and a dragon like being, along with tons of other, maybe even new mutated monsters.. also the witchers had little to no time to prepare, plus they were also attacked by villagers, guards and mages. The witchers were easily outnumbered.. in general it might have only been one against 5-10, something most witchers could have handeled in a different situation. But it was not "one person has so and so many enemies and nobody else is allowed to attack", it was a war-like situation. Also, remember the first fight against the griffin in The Witcher 3? I would dare to say we all struggled there for the first time and it was a good thing we had Vesemir there to help. Now imagine them, some of them maybe even being still slightly drunk because it was a surprise attack... in conclusion, I really liked this version of the sacking.. I dislike the general timeline, as Vesemir was supposed to already be a teacher/master.. und I also thought Geralt and Eskel were already on the path but well we can't have everything ig-
Quick edit/extra bc I've seen some ppl talk about this and I want to clarify something:
The sacking itself, who fought, who was involved, the fight.. the whole thing in itself is portraied in a way I 'like'
What I dislike is the way they made the witchers responsible for this. It should be about fear and therefore hate about unknown things, not because the witchers actually 'produced' monsters
Not all Witchers are like Geralt, as he is the exception from the rule. Most of them are not friendly or care about other beings. They do their profession and want to be paid for it.. they don't like to get emotionally involved. And their "coldness" is why normal folk hated them, besides them being very powerful and unpredictable.
The movie portraied the progrom as if the witchers, a minority, are at fault and as if the sacking is justified.. not because the bigger part of folks always hated and feared what was different from them, regardless of the witchers just wanting to live their lifes too
For most people in the Witcher Universe, witchers are no different from the monsters they slay and because of that they should have attacked and not because of the minority (or better one witcher and one mage out of all of them) that breeds what they vowed to kill
