Some all powerful being that controls the universe was laughing at you. You could definitely feel it. After how many times you’ve made a fool of yourself in front of the same exact cute stranger the past few days was an embarrassing amount.
The first time it happened, you were getting on the bus. You paid your fare and was walking down the aisle to find a seat. Apparently you didn’t find one fast enough because the bus driver seemingly drove right back into the road, causing you to lose your footing and land right on top of said cute stranger. Thankfully the stranger laughed it off, telling you to be careful as you apologized, scurrying to the back of the bus to hide your shame.

↔Genre: romance; fluff; tiger!hybrid!seokjin x human!reader.
↔Warnings: light mentions of a bite; wound; themes of fear.
A watchful, predatory gaze followed your every movement as if you were no more than his prey under his devoted stalking of your form.
Yet there was not a glint of the hunt gleaming in his umber eyes, but rather a delicate shine of love gifted to the big cat hybrid whilst his thick tail swished behind him.
A mere meeting of his eyes could render any other trembling lightly in his presence as he prowled the sanctuary.
But you withstood the gravelly growl that rumbled powerfully within the chasm of his chest to quake all in his wake, with a smile.
The pointed edges of his teeth had never once faltered you in your quest for his love, nor did you spill a tear once he lashed out at your lovable attempts that ended in his incisors sinking into your flesh to leave your arm wound in a tight bandage.
In spite of his vengeful attack upon you- the only care taker who never greeted him with any other than a gentle brush of his tail- you loved him enough to forgive his instincts with a tender scolding.
So with every loving embrace of his surprisingly cuddly form, he grew to adore you in spite of the negative doubts of others.
But all you asked in return for your endless flow of patience and nose nuzzles, was to hear the low purrs rumble through his chest, just beneath your finger tips.
Though he stubbornly withheld this wish from you, even if he found it difficult, he clung to the notion no human should ever deserve something so vulnerable and gentle from the one they should fear.
And you never held this against him nor marked his tallies by his name upon your hybrid information sheets, and this would almost infuriate him if he wasn't becoming more infatuated with you every day.
So as if a kitten with it's toy, you both played with the other's hearts in hopes of one day accidentally confessing to the other.
The soft ears he argued to be the only tender feature upon him despite your teasings, flickered at the melody of your voice which greeted the panthers and bears that shared the luxurious space with him.
His heart pounded with every step closer you took, your hands behind your back as if to hide the treat he was already aware of from your routine.
He huffed through his nostrils. Despite how he rolled his eyes and claimed your behaviour was childish and needless, he couldn't help but find the antics endearing.
He expected his name to fall from your lips in a chirp but your joyous grin was far from your mouth that was pulled into a light frown. You placed the glazed pastry he had once revealed to be his favorite without ever stealing your eyes away from the ground.
The treat he usually snatched from your fingers to nibble upon and lick away the remnants with his coarse tongue was long forgotten in favor of the sadness he sensed upon your heart.
"Why are you sad, Cub?"
He burbled, his strong and slender tail that was embraced by the many stripes he adored just as all else had, wrapped around your leg in an almost found hug.
Your eyes fell from the piercing of his bronze irises that held centuries of beauty within the dignified lineage of his hybrid nature. They were warm and youthful, and an undiscovered trace of love lurked within them.
You simply shook your head to deepen the twinge of pain that clawed at his heart; his ears twitched in thought and ensnared your attention.
His eyes climbed to where you gazed longingly at the fluff of his ears that peeked above the ebony locks, your fingers curled with the desire to press into their plush mounds.
His eyes widened just a fraction and his body stilled. The reason for your sadness was his redundant rejections of your soft affection you simply died to show him.
The awful realization prompted his true feelings to reveal themselves, and led his arms around your unsuspecting body.
"Jin?" You laughed lightly at the tickle of his ears brushing against your jaw, your hands hesitantly locked at your sides until he nudged them lightly with a lithe finger.
"Don't be scared little Cub." He drawled.
Excitedly and all but terrified, you gingerly reached your fingers over his bowed head that lovingly rested upon your shoulder, his eyes fallen not quite all the way to signify just how great his trust in you was.
With a light flick his tail, he sensed your reluctance and softly nudged his ears against your open and waiting palm.
And in your gentle grazing of the lively mounds, they proved themselves to everything you imagined, and more.
They were soft and dainty, yet strong as they swiveled to your voice. They appeared to have a life of their own as they writhed with your scratches.
Lost in the reality of your reveries, you were enthralled by the wonders of the tiger hybrid who had trusted you enough to allow his vulnerable state to meet your eyes, but with a light stretch beneath your finger tips, you were met with another surprise.
His warm arms leisurely snaked around your waist, his motions languid yet graceful, as if even his body was aware of the power he held.
A low, throaty hum resonated through his firm chest. And once the vibration meet your touch, you giddily realized him to be purring at your soft caresses.
He lazed in your arms and traced his nose along your wrist before his sharp tongue lathed over the back of your fingers, and retracted it quickly with a rare sheepish smile at your laughter.
"How soft of the pretty kitty?" You mused aloud, barely audible over the content thundering of the large cat.
He whined lightly before he pulled from your hold to met your features with his own, his nose rubbed against yours and pressed a fond kiss to the end.
"Hmm, only for you," he stated hurriedly, barring you from allowing the others to know his lovable secret, "you're just for me little cub."
You smiled against his cheek as your nails delicately clawed the thick tail that hugged you close and nodded to swear to his secret.
Content with only your eyes peeking into his gentle and soft state, he revealed to you just how gentle a tiger can be with every purr or lick against your skin.
With softness you had found the gentle kitten under the resilient and proud facade to relish in his never ending love for you.

↔Warnings: themes of pain; fear; sadness; loveless relationships.
↔Request: "Hi, sweets! I was wondering if I could request a bts member (anyone is fine tbh) x reader and the prompt would be “when falling in love you gain the ability to see colors, what about falling out of love?” I saw this as a POV the other day on tiktok and was dyinggg to read it as a fic. If you don’t have the time rn, that is totally okay! If you do end up writing this tho, thank you so much Xx "
A/n: This is a lot longer than I first intended! I just couldn't get enough of the plot, I just hope it's not a bore to read and not too rushed. Thank you so much for allowing me to write this! 😄
The incessant vibrating of his phone brought calm brown eyes to your contact photo. He simply stared at your smiling features, and he smiled softly too.
The memory of the picture returned to him like the warm kiss of the sun. It was the day he had proposed to you, and made you his fiancee.
Just outside the frame, one could find Hoseok's lips attached to your cheek. The joy your shared love brought vibrant and alluring hues into your life.
He could almost remember the shining color of your eyes, and the deep blue of the sky they reflected- now as he traveled the world, he frowned realizing how dull his mind now saw them.
Had they always been greying? His head shook in attempt to quiet the fears he didn't want to face just yet, he would return to you soon and all of his troubles would fade. Right?
He blinked once the call ended and a pang of guilt took over his chest. The world didn't gift him with the time to notice the colors that dimmed in his view before Namjoon stole away his attention.
"She needs your love, Hoseok."
His eyes flitted behind him to find Namjoon's lowered gaze and his expression almost mournful over his friends choice.
"I'll call her later, she can be so needy at times." His own voice shocked him though he didn't flinch, it was harsh and unlike him. As if it didn't belong to him.
Never once had he allowed such an edge to his voice that was always so soft and gentle when talking about you.
"You should stop kidding yourself and stop playing with her heart before every color she has left leaves forever."
Namjoon hissed, his eyes narrowed at the elder. His heart ached for you though you were miles away, and tears stung his eyes at the mere notion of tears clouding your own as the hues of your life faded away and your soulmates love abandoned you.
"If you aren't going to love her the way she deserves, break your bond with her. She doesn't deserve this."
Hoseok stilled, his eyes widened as his heart pulsed within his ears. He had never dreamed of cutting the love the universe has tied between you both, like an invisible string that attached him to his mate.
Shattering your bond would take every color you adored so much, especially the deep shade of blue you adored after you had claimed the color for yourself once you met him.
It was the first color you saw once you met Hoseok- your soulmate. You loved the color ever since that moment, and he couldn't help but be fond of it as well as it was a beautiful reminder of the serendipity of soulmates.
But rather than allowing you to live through what little colors you could have, he was selfishly ridding your vision of all, to live in darkness and light.
"Our bond is none of your business, Kim. Don't you have your own to worry about?" He bit out, his nostrils flared and his eyes livid as he watched his companion bow his head at the reminder of his own love he had just discovered in a childhood friend.
Namjoon's stare locked upon his own, as if to add even more weight to his heavy words.
"Soulmates are fragile, it's up to you strengthen her or destroy her," his eyes glistened as his voice delved into whispered depths, "I just hope you'll make the right choice."
Once he had disappeared behind the door, the silence enveloped him and every ignored call and missed kiss crashed upon his shoulders.
Breathing seemed so much more difficult without you and the soft life of your bond that now waned into all but nothing because of him.
Instead of returning your call, and soothing your fear and your bleeding heart. He growled before he tugged his coat upon his shoulders.
It was no lie, he was drifting apart from you and it hurt every day. It may have been his pride or maybe even his fear that restrained his wants to call you and apologize for ever ignoring you.
Instead of offering his gentle words to you in the darkest times of your life and bringing back the glow you once lived so passionately for.
He placed himself in the arms of numbness and drowned the bond that cried for his other half, to send you away from his mind.
Nibbling lightly upon your bottom lip, you anxiously listened to your boyfriend's voice mail for the hundredth time, just to repeat the exact same words until almost seemed to mock you.
With every second you endured without his love, a single color melted from your life.
The golden warmth of the sun you adored the most was first, you had hardly noticed it's absence as you believed it was the distance between you and your love.
The second was discovered once your eyes met the lilac sky just before the moon arose, only to meet with a tired grey, and your heart ached.
It was only when you took in the once cerulean blooms of your lover and found no more than a heartless obsidian did you listen to the ringing of his phone.
Upon the third ring, his voice met your ears to overcome you with relief as well as mourning.
"Hobi?" You breathed once he answered and your heart almost stilled.
"What's wrong, baby? I'm really busy, is everything okay?"
You tried your best to ignore the hurried annoyance in his tone and gripped your phone tighter as your eyes squeezed tears from your lashes.
"When you fall in love, you gain the ability to see colors. What about when you fall out of love, Hobi?"
You asked him, desperate for him to have the answers to your now bleak life. Yet he had none.
Dead silence filtered into your ears as your sobs clenched his chest. "What? I'll be right ther-"
Before his words enveloped you, the phone fell from your grasp as a sudden throbbing took over your body until your knees bent beneath you, and sent you to the floor below you.
It the was the pain of losing the last remnants of your love, it was the most painful stage of falling from your bond.
You felt his heart falling from your own and reaching for another love in every dulled pigment that faded from your sight.
Saddened ebony and regretful ivories washed into your view, to cruelly take what little remained.
You gasped out his name as he already began to hurry his return, he called for his flight as he spoke to you soothingly to you for the last time apart.
"I'm coming back to you."
Breathing in the scent of the flowers Hoseok's bond and Namjoon had urged him to buy as an apology to you, his heart drummed against his chest as he awaited your features to peer into his through the door.
It was pure agony to wait so long for your embrace, as his heart yearned for yours.
How could he ever do this to the one who embellished his world with shining hues? He vowed to himself to repair what he had so carelessly broken, he just hoped it wasn't too late.
But no matter how he tried to stave off his longing. Once you stood before him, it was all he could do to keep from drowning you in the love he had forgotten.
"Baby? I'm so glad to see you're fine. I thought-" his words died upon his tongue once he gently placed the bouquet in your shaky grasp.
"I know they're your favorite." He tried to simply mend the sorrowful hole in your hearts that had begun to eat away at your bond, he really did.
But your eyes fell from his to the gift he presented to you, and your eyes narrowed with the moment of panic you felt.
"I'm sure they're a lovely blue, Hoseok." You smiled weakly, admiring the dark blooms you wished so desperately to know of their true colors.
Hoseok nearly stopped breathing. Your vacant stare into his offering nearly dropped him to his knees right then with the crushing weight of his betrayal to his only love.
His lips parted to speak to you, but his voice perished before the words could fall from his tongue. You already knew of his lack of affection towards you, how could you not?
"I don't see colors, Hobi."
His frown deepened with the nick name he adored the most falling from your dry lips in a broken whimper.
Every color that waned from your view or pain of your heart was derived from his hearts coldness. Your dulled vision of the world was his fault.
The distressing realization made him a victim of gravity as he fell upon his knees before you, uncaring of the pain or discomfort as long as it wasn't your own.
His slender fingers feebly interlaced with yours, to tug you closer to his body and allow your hands to carefully thread through his dark hair.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered into your gentle touch, that was still just as loving as the hues around him glowed brighter.
"I'm sorry for taking the very thing you lived for away from you."
You fell to the floor below just before your lover, to cup his tear- stained cheeks in your hands as he leaned into your touch.
A hot tear that mimicked the ones you dripped, rolled over your thumb as he grasped your wrists in a gentle and comforting manner.
"You will be loved again. I swear to you."
The sincerity of his eyes melted your heart and tugged you into his chest and squeezed your eyes shut as you buried yourself into his arms where all would be well again.
His lips tenderly pressed themselves to your flesh almost carefully, as if he would shatter your heart with a mere breath.
Just in the corner of your eye, a soft drop of blue dripped down the petals he offered you, and your heart began to beat again.
Your finger tips grazed your lover's as you twirled into his arms, your only music that guided your steps being your shared laughter.
Months after you had both clung to the others broken form, you lived the very dreams you feared to never witness again.
Your bond was healing, little by little as his heart returned to you. Every morning- before you woke, he bought your most beloved sapphire blooms, in hopes of it being the first color you witnessed again.
Every long night filled with tears and burdened cries melted into grins and shy kisses once again- like the winter giving way to spring.
It was a draining journey, but the hope and warmth that had made it's home in Hoseok's eyes strengthened you both as you empowered the other.
But little did he know of the colors that had begun to seep into your eyes once more, you had hoped to happily tell him once all fell back into place.
But now as his lithe body circled around your own, and his fingers curled around your hand and brought it close to his heart after pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it. You were sure you would burst.
His brow raised lightly at the beaming smile you nibbled upon in a feeble attempt of concealing your growing excitement he could almost feel in the air.
"What has you so happy, love? It's amazing to see you smile."
His heart nearly sung with joy at the happiness you experienced once again. He was sure he would do anything for this warmth to remain.
"Nothing." You smiled, raising your chin as if to taunt him with your hints.
Your grin simply widened as his eyes narrowed. And with a low growl, his body pressed your back against the wall, and your chest melded to his own.
His slender fingers wrapped around yours, to steady your form that was already still under his heated stare.
"Don't do this to me, you have to tell me or I won't give you another kiss for the rest of the day."
Your mouth gaped as if his threat held any truth before you laughed with him, both of you fully knowing one of you would break before the moon returned.
He allowed your hands to slip from his grasp to place them around his neck as your eyes locked upon his own, your stare unbreakable.
"Hobi," you sighed softly, your tone serious and quiet, "your eyes are the prettiest shade of brown."
His body went rigid in your grasp as his breathing grew labored and warmth flowed behind his dark lashes.
He couldn't wait to tell all of the beauty that had returned, and of course thank Namjoon. But as of now, all he cared about was you.
His fingers lightly dug into the soft flesh of your sides before his nose brushed against yours, telling of his lips that would soon follow.
"I will never allow you to live a loveless grey world again." He vowed into the little space that separated you, until it didn't.
Your lips met his in tear filled kiss, until your tongues slowly tied themselves together at last- much like the bond that had now been restored in the deep iridescent and glowing titian that now kissed you once again.
And as if the other would disappear in a black and white dream once you pulled away, your bodies tangled together, unable to pull away, even as you shared oxygen in your panting.
"I think I found my new favorite color in your eyes, Hoseok."
