“What are you afraid of, Jungkook?” You asked the broken man that stood in the field of a wilted garden, ready to break at any time. It was the first time you had ever seen him in such a state. A man so strong and powerful was capable of having a breaking point and there he was, your vulnerable man.
“Don’t come near me,” he told you, voice still loud and clear, a warning in his tone as he took another step back when you were about to step forward. “I can’t show you a ruined part of myself.”
Your heart melted. “Oh, Jungkook...”
“I told you-” he stepped back again. Afraid. “Don’t come near me.”
“We are all ruined, Jungkook. No one is born perfect.”
His eyes fell, breath shaky. “But you’re perfect, and I don’t want to ruin you.”
“I’m not perfect,” you confessed, a small lopsided smile curling at your lips, one of a somber glow. His eyes weren’t on yours so you took a brave step forward.
Everything Jungkook touched, he was able to ruin. All the flowers that surrounded him had wilted away, while where you stood, the flowers were in full blossom. But even with the being he was born as, you knew that he was anything but ruined. And for him to be so afraid for you to even come near him, for you to see that vulnerable part of him, your heart yearned for the demon that wanted nothing more than to reach for the hand that held out to him.
But he was too afraid to do so.
“You’re perfect, Y/N,” Jungkook said breathlessly. Tears glistened at his eyes, hoping to fall yet he couldn’t allow himself to do so. “You’re perfect and I’m ruined and I’m not going to ruin you.”
Another step forward.
“Even if I was perfect,” Closer and closer, “I don’t care.”
One more step and you stood at his feet. “Take me with you,” you said, taking his shaky hands into yours and suddenly he looked up, alarmed, afraid, frightened for you. “Wreck me.” You held back the hands that wanted to force his hands away from yours.
“Ruin me.”
A tear fell from his eyes. Then another.
“Don’t do this to yourself, Y/N. Let go of me,” he begged and begged but you wouldn’t listen. “Why would you-”
“Because I love you.”
The world froze in his eyes and for a long moment, Jungkook had stopped struggling just to stand there, staring into your eyes. Speechless.
“I love you,” you said again for him to understand. For him to hear it again. For him to know that it was true. “I love the demon who stands in front of me. I love you...Jeon Jungkook. Ruined or not, I love you.”

The iciness burned your bare hands, leaving them red, flushed and numb as your excited giggles rang throughout the empty forest like a mantra.
You were only four years old, and every year since your birth you would visit your grandfather at his cabin in the woods. Your mother, his only daughter, had passed during childbirth and afterwards he had secluded himself to a simple cabin in the woods that was miles away from any form of civilization to continue his independent research studies. He was a retired wildlife biologist, his motivation to continue his work in a professional setting dying along with his only child.

Much to your surprise, a raven haired head jerked up quickly, staring at you with wide, doe eyes. That’s odd— how did he know that you were talking about him?
You couldn’t elaborate for long because he’d already stood up and made his way to the counter, a suspicious glint in his eyes. Smiling, you held out his cup to him, “Jungkook?”
“Y-yeah, that’s, um,” he glanced around the shop nervously, “that’s me…” He took the cup out of your hand, turning quickly so he could get away.
“Hey, I have a question,” you blurted out before he could escape. He spun around quickly, both suspicion and fear in his gaze. “How did you know I was talking to you? I didn’t say your actual name until you were already up here.”

Jeongguk squats on your windowsill, one hand holding the glass exterior of your apartment building, the other resting on the bottom of the sill, eyes looking straight ahead into yours. He can hear the sirens behind him, and you can see their lights dance across his face; red and blue like his second skin.
He should follow them, go to help, but he stays frozen. He knows you’ll be fine here, safe from whatever harm has come back to the city, but that’s not why he isn’t moving.
Maybe he shouldn’t have taken off his mask in front of you a week ago, maybe he shouldn’t have told you his biggest secret. It would have made moments like these easier, for the both of you, but he always hated lying to you. Besides, Jeongguk knows you would have figured it out sooner or later. You’re smart like that.
“You—you should go, they’re gonna need you, Guk,” you choke out, and Jeongguk’s eyes grow three times in size because that is not the sentence he was expecting to come out of your mouth.

You rolled your eyes at his pout and moved to wrap your arms around his arm, resting your chin on his shoulder and giving him puppy eyes. He glanced at you, struggling to keep from returning the affection as you stared him down. He broke, setting his phone down and moving to face you. You smiled, leaning into his embrace and tilting your head near his ear. “Dude, just help me out.”
“Y/N!”
You laughed, watching his face flush red and his bottom lip jut out in betrayal. “What’s the problem bro?”
“That’s worse!” He whined, getting up and going for the bedroom.
“Dude don’t be mad” You laughed, following him to the bedroom. “Come on dude, just chill.”
“Y/n, stop!” He whined, plopping onto the bed with his arm crossed.
“Come on” you laughed, crawling onto the bed after him. He huffed and turned away, “It’s a joke” you laughed. Jungkook sent you a side glare before turning to lay down away from you. “Oh, Jungkook” You sighed, scooting over to him. “Come on you big baby, stop ignoring me.” You leaned onto him, moving to peck his cheek. “You know your baby” you cooed, “come on Kookie, don’t be mad at me.” You pleaded.
Jungkook turned his head to you, his lips still in a pout. “Don’t ever call me dude again.”

The café the two of you were sitting in was luxurious. It wasn’t your average café, it was the Vogue café. Jungkook had brought you here on a date because it was such a high-end place. To eat here, you needed to have money, which meant the likelihood of fans finding you two here was very slim.
Right now, the black hat on Jungkook’s head, however, isn’t doing much to conceal his messy curls peeping out. Even though he has his disguise on, you’re sure fans will be able to spot him with just those curls alone. You watch as Jungkook lets out a loud breath of air, his curly hair blowing up from the sudden burst of wind. You can’t help but let out a little giggle at how cute he looks, pulling off his hat, sunglasses, and mask.
“Fine. Do I look less suspicious now?” He huffs out, looking at you with his wide doe eyes. You nod your head, a broad smile on your face as you can now fully enjoy the sight of your handsome boyfriend before you. “Well, keep these in your purse for me,” he says, sliding the hat, mask, and sunglasses over to you, a wide grin stretching across his face. You narrow your eyes at him as his cheeky grin still sits on his lips.

I’m trying something new, folks! This will be a mini spider-verse (SBaFL) of Jungkook and the mc in nonconsecutive order; however, the first few chapters will be chorological (just because I accidentally wrote them that way). It’s basically a series of one-shots that involve the same characters/environment. You can read them as stand-alone or all together! Jungkook shrugs casually, as if it’s no big deal. “Nope.”
But it is a big deal.
“So you’re telling me-” You cross your legs beneath you and stare down at him hard, trying to compute what he’s telling you and how he’s so relaxed about it all. “You’ve gone your whole life never seeing yourself.”
“Correct.” Jungkook does that cute, quick little nod of his head that you love, the one that purses his full lips and sends his dark hair bouncing into his caramel eyes. “Vampires don’t have reflections, babe.” He grins at you, the smile lighting up his face, as if he wants to laugh that you haven’t realized this and put two and two together.
“I know, I know.” You wave your hand in an agitated motion. “I’ve heard that. I know that. But-” You stop for a minute, brows furrowed and lips pursed as you continue to mull over what your boyfriend has just told you. “I’ve just never actually thought about what that meant.”
Jungkook sits up beside you now, a slight smile still curling his pink lips, and mirrors your position, crossing longs beneath him as he faces you, reaching out to take your hands in his own as he squeezes your fingers reassuringly. “It’s fine, babe. It’s not a big deal. I’ve never been curious enough to care.”
You cannot believe him.
Not wanting to know what you look like? Impossible.
And yeah, maybe you care a little bit too much about what others think about you, but still, Jungkook is being way too nonchalant about this. Right?

The sky glitters beautifully, the stars twinkling, and the moonlight falls on them, as they lay tangled under it. The balcony of his penthouse illuminated by the soft glowing light provided by the moon, the warm blanket covers their forms from the cool breeze. They watch the stars dancing in the sky, with crickets whistling praises, the song being hummed by him.
She rests her head on his strong shoulder, her arm draped across his torso, while he has his own around her shoulders, in a protective yet affectionate manner, assuring her that he'd be there for her forever, words unsaid. Cuddling in the comforting silence of each other, breaking every now and then when he hums, they need no materials to make them happier. They are complete, together.
He drops down his gaze from the sky to another one, one found in her eyes, one that is his favorite. As she looks back at him, his breath hitches when he sees his reflection, clear as crystal in her eyes, and he knows his purpose of life. She is the one. For him, and his life. The passionate energy they share between each other is surreal, yet when he moves to hover over her, it is then that they know, that no, it's not just a dream, but a reality. A beautiful, revered reality.
He dips his head down to press his mouth to her, mouth's parting for the share of their breaths, and exchange of passion and love. Her delicate hands rest on his neck, thumb brushing his jawline fondly, then traveling south along the lines and shapes of his strong arms, to his naked torso, tracing every inch of his skin, worshipping it with her fingers.
It is true, kissing your true love is addictive.
He moves his fingers, from her hair, to her cheek, and her collar bone, to the bare skin of her belly. Shivers rise from the point where he touches up to her cheeks, and Jungkook smiles against the skin of her neck. He marks her with his lips, teeth, tongue, and hands, not just for the world to know of him and her, but for the overwhelming feeling he earns upon doing so. Getting warmer and warmer, he raises onto his knees to get rid of the unwanted barriers between them. He pulls them off of her, then moving his hands for his own fabrics from his body.
Laying down his body on her own again, he connects them both, their bodies, as well as their souls. Their breaths mingle, as he moves slowly, feeling every inch of her, moving his hands to intertwine them with hers, placing them on either side of her head.
Breaths transform into moans, and moans transform into names, them being chanted as if they were the prayers for each other's lips. He rests his head against her, and she tilts her own in such a way that her nose caresses his cheek.
The night air, once silent, is now filled with deep breathing, moans and groans, and words that claim their undying love for each other, but it never comes to end, as it is a long way, till the night grows old.

Jungkook waited on the bench in the park, hiding his presence with his hoodie and a mask in front of his mouth and nose. No one had to know he was the prince, no one aside from you would be able to recognize him anyway.
It didn’t take long before you arrived, dressing in dark and regular clothes so that people wouldn’t look at you when you passed by. You moved next to Jungkook, only muttering a small hi before you watched a jogger pass by the two of you.
“I missed you” Jungkook said soft and leaned forward to you, planting a soft kiss upon your lips as a greeting. The kiss made you smile and quickly pecked his lips after the kiss had ended. “It’s been less than 24 hours, and I know that in those 24 hours, you danced with about 3 other princesses” you said calmly. You weren’t angry about that, but reality slowly began to hit you: you would never be able to marry and start a life with Jungkook.
Jungkook looked at you, confused eyes present as he hadn’t expected you to speak like that. “So what? I can dance with you too, in the middle of the park if you want to even” he said simply, not understanding why to you it was such a big deal. “I don’t want to dance, I want a chance with you but instead one of those princesses gets to love you.”
“I fell in love with you, not them” Jungkook said and sighed deeply, understanding why you had reacted like that. He took your hands in his, pressing a kiss on each hand before he looked up at you. “Yesterday, I told my parents I wanted to live a normal life, with a normal girl. Fuck being a prince, I only want to be your normal boyfriend”

It was nearing 10pm now, and you know the grad students who worked behind the front desk would change shifts soon. You had stopped by their dorm to bring them dinner, and when you asked where Jungkook was, they gave you that look. The look they gave you every time Jungkook refused to listen to them and wouldn’t stop practicing until he collapsed. You sighed deeply before grabbing your keys and heading to the company building.
It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence when one of the members, usually Namjoon, would call you and ask you to knock some sense into your boyfriend.
His hardworking nature was something you all admired greatly, but sometimes he didn’t know his own limits.

Some all powerful being that controls the universe was laughing at you. You could definitely feel it. After how many times you’ve made a fool of yourself in front of the same exact cute stranger the past few days was an embarrassing amount.
The first time it happened, you were getting on the bus. You paid your fare and was walking down the aisle to find a seat. Apparently you didn’t find one fast enough because the bus driver seemingly drove right back into the road, causing you to lose your footing and land right on top of said cute stranger. Thankfully the stranger laughed it off, telling you to be careful as you apologized, scurrying to the back of the bus to hide your shame.

Their repetitive song now an alarm clock rousing you from sleep in the morning’s early hours. The sun wrapped the forest in a blanket of warmth, like the embrace of a new mother. The small cottage you call home is built somewhere deep in the woods. Old, but stable. The wood creaks and the vines that hug the old planks are there to stay.
