O- how do u begin the story-with the plot or characters??

lovely writer, i feel like you come up with the plot first then you decide which member suits the story! but im still curious👀

great question, i dont really have a standard process so i guess its actually kindof simultaneous

death valley, when i saw those pictures (basically that yoongi one w the red background and the black shirt) was like ok

i want a mafia yoongi and a rockstar jimin

then the intricacies develop and i'll assign each of the boys their specific character trope (i.e. drugdealer!jungkook, etc.)

i think of the boys as actors, and so i come up with a 'script' and then think like ok who would play this role well, but not always in the, who would match the character, sometimes i like to play with putting the boys as characters that i wouldn't typically expect

so namjoon. after developing a general idea for dv, i went in knowing i needed someone to be a fighter, so i was like oh namjoon for sure. but then i crafted his character before proceeding with his arc. i wanted him to be very subby, just on the edge of losing his shit, and someone with obsessive tendencies (i.e. winning the fight, beating jimin, now, loving oc)

jin i was like, ok i need a police angle here, someone on the side of law, but its death valley so there needs to be a twist. so i made him insane pretty much

basically idk. the characters build the story but the story presents the range of characters i could have. if that made any sense lmaoooo
