It has been a while since you hung out with any of your friends. Every time you ask one of them, they always have an excuse to not hang out with you. At first, you thought nothing of it. After all, you get busy yourself. But after a while, it seems like they are becoming more distant. To add to that, the group chat isn’t active anymore. Even if there are messages, they are short or one word messages. It is like they are slowly forgetting you.

Maybe you should leave them alone.

Maybe they don’t care about you anymore.

Fanfiction Authors: HEADS UP

An astute reader informed me this morning that one of my fics (Children of the Future Age) had been pirated and was being sold as a novel on Amazon:

(And they weren't even creative with their cover design. If you're going to pirate something that I spent a full year of my life writing, at least give me a pretty screenshot to brag about later. Seriously.)

I promptly filed a DMCA complaint to have it removed, but I checked out the company that put it up -- Plush Books -- and it looks like A LOT of their books are pirated fic. They are by no means the only ones doing this, either -- the fact that """publishers""" can download stories from AO3 in ebook format and then reupload them to Amazon in just a few clicks makes fic piracy a common problem. There are a whole host of reasons why letting this continue is bad -- including actual legal risk to fanfiction archives -- but basically:

IF YOU ARE A FANFIC AUTHOR WITH LONG AND/OR POPULAR WORKS, PLEASE CHECK AMAZON TO SEE IF YOUR STORIES HAVE BEEN PIRATED.

You can search for your fics by title, or by text from the description (which is often just copied wholesale from AO3 as well). If you find that someone has stolen your work and is selling it as their own, you can lodge a DMCA complaint (Amazon.com/USA site; other countries have different systems). If you haven't done this before, it's easy! Here's a tutorial:

HOW TO FILE A COPYRIGHT COMPLAINT FOR STOLEN WORK ON AMAZON.COM:

First, go to this form. You'll need to be signed into your Amazon account.

Select the radio buttons/dropdown options (shown below) to indicate that you are the legal Rights Owner, you have a copyright concern, and it is about a pirated product.

Enter the name of your story in the Name of Brand field.

In the Link to the Copyrighted Work box, enter a link to the story on AO3 or whatever site your work is posted on.

In the Additional Information box, explain that you are the author of the work and it is being sold without your permission. That's all you really need. If you want, you can include additional information that might be helpful in establishing the validity of your claim, but you don't have to go into great detail. You can simply write something like this:

I am the author of this work, which is being sold by [publisher] without my permission. I originally published this story in [date/year] on [name of site], and have provided a link to the original above. On request, I can provide documentation proving that I am the owner of the account that originally posted this story.

In the ASIN/ISBN-10 field, copy and paste the ID number from the pirated copy's URL. You'll find this ten-digit number in the Amazon URL after the word "product," as in the screenshot below. (If the URL extends beyond this number, you can ignore everything from the question mark on.) Once this number has been added, Amazon will pull the product information automatically and add it to the complaint form, so you can check the listing title and make sure it's correct.

Finally, add your contact information to the relevant fields, check the "I have read and accept the statements" box, and then click Submit. You should receive an email confirmation that Amazon has received the form.

Please share this information with your writer friends, keep an eye out for/report pirated works, and help us keep fanfiction free and legally protected!

You were quite bored sitting in your boyfriend's room. Yes, there were a collection of books and an old TV with a console. However, it doesn't spark interset for you. Currently, Akira was downstairs, making something for you. Bored out of your mind, you look into one of his boxes. In said boxes contains his jackets and hoodies. You grab one of the hoodies and put them on. It's so comfortable, you can sleep in this! Naturally, the size is bigger than you usually wear, so the hoodie is nice and roomy. You were too distracted when you hear Akira walking up the stairs to see you in his hoodie. He smiles as he walks towards you to gives you a bear hug. You let out a yelp out of shock and Akira kiss your forehead. You blush as he held you close.

"Yes, you can keep it love."

"Yes!" You fist bump into the air.

You breathe heavily as you feel light-headed from the intense fighting and the blood loss. Your friends' dead bodies lying limply around you. You look at Nanashi as you were shaking, "N-Nanashi..." You take a couple of steps back, trying not to step on your friends' dead bodies. "C-Come on Nanashi…” You nervously chuckled. All of your demons are either dead or too weak to defeat him. Nanashi approaches you while you keep stepping away from him. You back hits the wall. Nanashi roughly grabs your neck and you immediately grab his arm. “N-Nanashi…you can still go back…y-you don’t have to do this.” Nanashi stays silent as he tightens his grip around your neck. You gasp and you try to tear his grip away from your neck. “Nan-“

🎃Whumptober Day 7: “Can you hear me?” (Minato Arisato x Reader)🎃

You sit quietly in a chair next to Minato’s bed as you hold his hand. It has been a couple of days since the fight of Nyx and Minato falling into a coma. You don’t know why he fell into this state. You did heard something similar happen to him once he awakened his Persona, so hopefully this is something similar.

You often talk to him. About your day, you interests or random topics. Sometimes your friends join you, even Koromaru. You have heard people who were in comas can hear some conversations, so you thought you will talk to him so he won’t feel lonely.

You hope he wakes up soon.

🎃Whumptober Day 5: Betrayal + Reluctant Whumper (Goro Akechi x Reader)🎃

You shift in the uncomfortable metal chair as you rub your bruise wrists. Your body aches from all the beating from those detectives. You can hear footsteps and a family voice.

Goro Akechi.

You see the door open to reveal the guard and Goro Akechi. Quickly Akechi took the guard's gun and shots him in the chest, causing you to flinch at the sudden action. The guard died instantly. You look at Akechi as your hands tightly grip your knees.

Akechi looks at you while holding up the gun, "Have you finally figure it out?" He stares at you blankly, but you can see a bit of sadness in his eyes. He got closer to you and leans over the table. Akechi lifts your chin and softly kiss your lips. You tensed up. He holds your chin as he puts his tongue into your mouth.

"M-Mmph~..." You quietly moan. You were still tense, but you were starting to blush. Akechi continues to make out with you as he slowly moves the gun and points the barrel against your head. You start to shake even more

He pulls back from kissing you, leaving a string of saliva, and he stares straight at your eyes, "Forgive me..."
