Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle

Going in depth on her femininity and high level traits. I recently read a biography and did some research on our good sis. She is feminine icon. She’s well known for marring royalty, but I want to touch base on the key elements she had that helped her BEFORE she met the Prince. All of the things mentioned below were events and characteristics she had BEFORE him.

Meghan Markle

Private School - though her parents weren’t together (separated when she was young) or filthy rich they knew the importance of a good education. Unlike her other half siblings, she was put in private school all of her life. Why does this matter? A lot of high value individuals come from a private school backgrounds. The connections and social skills you gain at these type of schools are priceless and set you up for future success.

Empathetic - since she was a child, she’s been empathetic toward others (huge femine trait). A fellow classmate who was bullied recalls Meghan being sweet to her and always listening to her problems. At a young age, she would volunteer at soup kitchens, and talk to the homeless there, and learn their names. Even fans and celebrities who interacted with her recall her as being empathetic and putting other people’s needs before her own. This could explain why she got into Humanitarian work (which we will discuss later).

Meghan Markle

Alluring and well liked persona - from childhood peers, teachers, to old employees they all described Meghan as someone who was memorable and well liked. She wasn’t considered an “it girl” growing up but she was well liked because of her sweet and down to earth personality. She was even crowned “Homecoming Queen”. In college, the sorority she was in welcomed her in easily and greatly. Unlike most situations we hear about when girls have to work or get hazed to fit into sorieties and groups in college. This proves you don’t need to be an “IG baddie” or “it girl” to get ahead. Meghan had that “girl next door” vibe that everyone was intrigued with.

“She is really soft and gentle. She is friendly and very warm and engaging. It didn’t feel like I was speaking to someone from one of the biggest shows on TV. It was like talking to a regular girl.”

Meghan Markle

Leadership - she always took on leadership roles. She took on being President at clubs throughout high school. In college, was elected sorority’s recruitment chair. Some may say it’s masculine to take charge🙄. Even if that’s true, it’s necessary if you want to get ahead in life and in your career. There’s nothing wrong with stepping up and taking on a leadership role.

Personal brand - Meghan knew the importance or protecting her personal brand. People that knew her described her as poised, articulate, charismatic, and sophisticated. Seriously, I lost count of how many times she was referred to as “sophisticated”. It’s because she knew the importance of her appearance. She made slight adjustments to perfect her appearance by getting her gap closed. She also had a “vision” for her look once she became an adolescent. She was never heard to swear or talk down on other women. This isn’t to say she never done it, but she was careful who she did it around.

“looked every inch the Hollywood superstar—very slim, very leggy, very elegant, and impossibly glamorous.” Or as the landlord put it, “a stunner.”

“They were mesmerized by one another, Harry enthralled by her beauty, sophistication, and perceptiveness.”

Meghan Markle

Charity and Philanthropy Work - Just like Prince Harry’s mother, Meghan is big on humanitarian, charity and philanthropic work. When she was young, she volunteered at soup kitchens in LA. She actually spoke to the homeless, listened to their stories, and remembered their names. In college, she participated in one of the biggest student run charities in America. This could be because she’s so empathetic and likes to connect with people. Being so thoughtful and giving is a huge feminine trait. This is a trait we often hear in wealthy individuals but she had this well before she was one.

Meghan Markle

Family connections - her dad was a light and photography director in Hollywood. This not only exposed her to Hollywood at a young age but provided a few connections. She also had an uncle that worked for the CIA. She used his connections to land an internship abroad with the State Department. Many of us may not have access to well connected family members, but we can utilize whatever connections we have as a way to level up in life.

Meghan Markle

Well traveled - Her passport is stamped honey! From Jamaica, Buenos Aires, New Zealand, Marlborough, Vietnam, Spain, Italy, to Malta. Our girl was traveling well before she had a Dutchess in front of her name. This could be because her mother was a travel agent and tried to expose Meghan to vacations whenever she could. Meghan’s first husband, Trevor Engelson, help funded a few of her luxury trips abroad. He was a pretty successful film producer and the couple took trips together for weeks at a time. When trying to level up, even if you don’t have a fancy degree you can get ahead by being well traveled and cultured.

Risk Taker - After high school, she moved from LA to Chicago for college, where she doubled majored in theater and international politics. After that, she took an internship abroad to Buenos Aires on her own. She was very independent and took risks if it meant furthering her education and career. A lot of times we can be scared to move past our comfort zone. But, if we want to excel we need to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Work Ethic - weather it was her first job or her internship abroad at the State Department her managers and senior partners described her as a hard and good worker. Even while she was working as an inspiring actress, she worked her ass off. She attended numerous auditions and failed many times for eight years before getting her big role in Suits. She went from a struggling actress to staring in Suits, which was one of the highest rated shows in America. After her status of an actress grew, she built a popular lifestyle blog, Tig, which became a huge success. Her blog was even named “Best of the Web” in Elle Magazine and InStyle

“In between the glitz and the glamour her advocacy for UN Women continued, undertaking further meetings at the World Bank and the Clinton Foundation and learning more about the facts and figures of gender bias in the developing world and, for that matter, her own country.”

Meghan Markle

Picture Ready - even though she’s off social media now, it wasn’t always like that. In the past, she was a huge social media content creator. But not like the girls that post thirst traps or flat tummy tea all day. She was the type of girl that took photos abroad, sipping wine, or making her green juice. It was noted that while her peers and most women her age were taking silly, funny filtered photos she posed sweetly and if a drink was ever in her hand, it was champagne or wine.

Meghan Markle

Wellness - she‘s known for being a foodie. It’s true that she loves quality cuisine and trying new dishes, but her peers and husband know her for her healthy eating habits, green juices, jogging and yoga. Her amazing body and good skin isn’t by accident. It’s because she’s really intentional.

“which meant the actor was able to go jogging—mobile meditation, as she calls it—around the park or stroll on Kensington High Street to go shopping.”

“she dramatically changed the contents of his fridge. Meghan never leaves home unless she has hummus, carrots, green juice, almonds, and chia seed pudding in the fridge.”

Mystic - She’s the queen of mystery. We only know what she wants us to know or when her PR team sends out a statement. Even when she did have social media, she posted a lot but nothing too personal or revealing. No one even knew her and Harry were dating (except close friends) until they were months in their relationship. Years before that, she ran an anonymous actress related blog for a while. She knew how to be known, but not reveal too much about herself.

Meghan Markle

Leveled up her circle - This was MAJOR trait I noticed while reading about her. As she leveled up, so did her circle. As she grew, so did her level of friends. She began to associate herself with fashion stylists, wives of primes minister, politicians, high profile actresses, and Serena Williams. This was before she was married to Prince Harry by the way. Her friend, Serena Williams, is the reason she created her popular blog, Tig. Once her friends leveled up, so did her experiences. She started being invited to front row at Fashion Week, getting invited to speak at political forums, and major film awards. She even became the face of a well respected candadian fashion brand. Your network is your net worth!

“Not only would she be discussing global issues with young people, but she would be rubbing shoulders with humanitarian celebrities like Mary Robinson, Ireland’s first woman president; Sir Bob Geldof; Nobel Peace Prize winner Kofi Annan; and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador John Chau.”

“Not only was her face going to be on billboards and on TV all over Canada, she was going to influence how women dressed.”

Interesting Person - she wasn’t just a pretty face. She was an actress, fitness enthusiast, talented at calligraphy, a wine connoisseurs, enjoyed politics, well traveled, and could go deep on topics like gender equality and gun control. She could attract and KEEP high level men because she had depth and could hold a conversation. Even after her and Harry first started dating, he tried to schedule trips only to realize she had a busier schedule than him. Between filming, an award winning blog, a fashion brand collaboration, humanitarian work, and political speaking engagements she was a busy and an interesting women. It’s one thing to be attractive, but it’s another to be interesting!

“When they compared schedules before they parted, it was clear that if anything Meghan was the busier of the pair that fall, what with her TV filming commitments, promoting her new fashion collection on behalf of Reitmans, her blog, and humanitarian work. Even before Harry came into her life she was often up until the wee hours scouring the internet for inspiration for The Tig. Now she was going to be stretched even further.”

“As she sipped a dirty martini they chatted about Suits, her background, her days as a briefcase girl, gun control in America, her passion for calligraphy, women’s rights, and her one-time ambition to be a TV presenter”
