☀️Twin Flames: The Dichotomy Between Fem & Masc Energies as well as Misconceptions☀️

DISCLAIMER: it's a long one, my fingers hurt from typing (╥﹏╥)

Alright the dreaded topic (╥﹏╥) I have almost entirely stopped using this term- I simply don't have the energy for it. There isn't anything wrong with twin flames, but I personally feel like the term has been so over sensationalized that it's lost all of it's meaning. Every other day you hear someone talking about their twin flame when in reality it's their karmic, or someone they are obsessing over, or someone who is simply just similar to them. It's such a touchy topic and genuinely talking about it is so hard because if you haven't truly experienced a twin flame connection you won't be able to understand it, yet the amount of misinformation out there is so- ugh.

I remember when I was younger I wrote about all I knew about soul connections and the twin flame one was the most controversial and had the most opinions on it. Firstly believe what you believe but you cannot change fact. It doesn't matter if you believe gravity is fake, it still binds you to the earth all the same. I've seen way too many people especially in certain tags use the term so inappropriately and incorrectly, spreading false information such as the capability of having multiple twins. That- doesn't even make sense... twin means two, to have a twin means there are two of you, not to mention the entire concept of twins is yin and yang- only two parts... It's not called a triple flame or a quadruplet flame...

I want to take a second to talk about the inane things I've seen and the excuses people give. I've seen way too many people insist that you are capable of having more than one twin flame as a way to convince themselves that even if their fav found their person they can still have a chance with said fav. It's so weird because it's just feeding into spiritual psychosis and obsession. You know them saesangs people talk about all the time? I'm pretty sure some of them were created from shit like this... Fans get so upset and angry at the prospect of their idol dating and finding happiness, to me it's like an illness, you should not be so attached to the idea of a person that you feel genuine control over that person and their life. I don't care how well you think you know a person, nor how much you've bought into their life, your obsession does not overpower their life.

Many people see the term of twin flame and think that because it has such a title that means the two of you should be together forever or that no matter what you'll always end up with your twin when that is simply not true. The entire term has gotten overrun with people using it to fuel their obsession and spiritual psychosis that talking about it now and trying to have genuine conversations about actual twin flame relationships feels like you're diving head first into a psychosis spiral.

Firstly, twin flames are rare, extremely rare, I mean so very rare that you can go your entire life without ever meeting someone else that actually has a twin in this life. I'm of the opinion that there are many people who do have twins, however not all of them will ever meet or be together in this lifetime, nor have their counterpart reincarnated either. I believe I mentioned this before but every life has a different reason. In your past life you could've been with your twin for a lesson to learn, it is possible that in this life you have a different lesson that doesn't involve your twin therefore you might not come into union with them and that is completely fine. As I said the term is so oversensualized.

The term twin flame is also being thrown around like it simply is another word for soulmate when in actuality it is a different type of soulmate. Just as tarot is a different type of divination. A twin flame is a soulmate connection but not every soulmate connections are twin flames. The thing about twins however is the fact that the connection is so powerful, the journey to reuniting with your twin is exhaustive, and sometimes can cause obsession rooted in core wounds such as abandonment issues. The journey is not something to be taken lightly as you begin it as one person and end it as some entirely new.

You can consider the perfect example of a twin flame as garnet from steven universe. Sapphire and Ruby connecting on such a deep level they create something entirely new, they have a whole song about it! Twin flames are not two parts of a whole and if you are a twin, this kind of thinking is going to keep you away from the prospects of union. Twins are an entire person, two separate entities that create another. Think of it as gem fusion, or parents birthing a child. Yin and Yang come together to create the concept of duality bit yin is separate to yang and vice versa. Twin flames feed off the energy of yin and yang, masc and fem, balanced energies. When you go left, your twin goes left, when you go backwards, your twin goes backwards, if you think negatively of yourself your twin will think negatively of you or themselves. What ever you feel, your twin feels two, the more in alignment the two of you are, the more the both of you flow like yin and yang.

Onto the topic of twin flames and spiritual psychosis. Twin flame connections are intense as well, and messing with that energy in the wrong way can most certainly mess with spiritual psychosis. Twin flame connections have more energy between them, sometimes you can feel as though they are around you, sometimes even experiencing their feelings and a few people can hear their thoughts. I am kind of afraid to go into that topic purely for the fact that if it is taken in the wrong way or consumed with the wrong intention it can really influence spiritual psychosis so please please use discernment here.

The whole purpose of a twin flame connection is to find yourself, to come home to yourself. Your twin is their own person yet they are an extension of your soul which is why you mirror so intensely, they teach you to find yourself and to love yourself. In order to come into union with your twin you must go within and have union with yourself. You need to heal, find your core wounds and dismantle them, address any toxic thoughts and world views, figure out who you are and who you would be in a perfect world and bring it outside. As someone currently on that journey, it truly is not easy. I say it all the time but you have to face the scary dark parts of yourself. I'm currently in the process of doing that and it's taking such a toll on me that I had a health scare I mean- getting up to open my window and heart racing and almost fainting scare. Not only that but I'm so depressed in my personal life that I'm forcing myself to sleep more as a means to escape my reality. It’s just a stage in the process for me and once it passes something new will replace it, but it’s not a connection or a journey process that is only happiness nor is it only sadness.

I really dislike it when people talk only in light about twin flames, but also when they only take darkly about them too. I don't really understand why there can't be balance and an understanding of duality and the differences for every connection. You can't take the light without the dark, nor can you live within the dark without light.

For feminine and masculine energies- this is another can of worms that often times are rooted in white supremacy labels and sexist ideologies. The terms itself are sexist any how you put them, but the meanings are entirely different and many people use those terms to make it easier to understand so I get it. In reality feminine and masculine energy is just another way of saying light and dark energy, sun and moon, yin and yang. Before I continue I must say that dark energy does not mean evil energy, think of it more as night and day. "Evil" energy is more colloquially known as negative energy or entities.

Your gender and gender identity has nothing to do with the energy you possess. We all have the dual energies within us, life is about balance and we would be even more chaotic without the dual energies, but it is also why rampant sexism and misogyny is tearing the world to shreds. The hyper and toxic masculinity placed on men, the inane societal expectations placed on women, the controlling of womens bodies, the demotion of women to females, the hyper conformity to gender roles and the brutal rejection to true selves, it is all creating a more hateful intolerant society. A feminine man is ridiculed and deemed gay, men experiencing and expressing emotions other than rage is deemed as a woman, women who have ambitions and a well paying job are looked at as masculine and paid less than their male counterparts. It's all bullshit to me.

Feminine energy is called that because of it's nurturing ability, the softness of it, the ability to slow down and breathe, to love and let love as well as the fact that many women do identify with these energies. Masculine energy categorized as action oriented, rational, stable, etc. as well as many men identifying with these energies. However there is nothing and I mean nothing stating that a woman can't be rational, stable and action oriented and vice versa. If you ask me I would say that the words feminine and masculine are only place holders and umbrella terms of these energies. Anyone who tells you that you can only have one energy within you is someone who has completely disregarded the idea of balance.

Finding your balance is finding the place where you sit comfortably. Personally I sit comfortably in feminine energy, trying to live in masculine energy drains me and makes me feel worse, I don't dream of labor. I know for myself that I want to me a SAHM, I prefer to nurture and be giving to those I love. I do however honor the masculine energy in me when it comes to completing my goals, I pour myself into projects that I'm interested in and more! I know that I don't want to have a 9-5 job, rather a job with flexible hours that allows me to have full creative freedom and is also a passive income is perfect for me! With that being said, there are other people like me and people not like me and thats what makes the earth beautiful. The diversity in people and their lives is something to be celebrated. My cousin is someone who is more aligned with masculine energy, she loves to work and complete her goals, but she honors the feminine energy in herself by pampering herself and her kids.

The dichotomy between fem and masc energies is the idea that there can only be one, that you can only experience one, that they are in reference to your gender, that they are law. How about we just be? How about live in the way that you see fit? Rather than trying to force others to conform to our ideas, follow your own ideology and not harm others.

Yes, I do! I love extra cheese on my pizza. I love how random but right this is. I'm not a big pork fan, but I love pepperoni pizzas and pizzas with just extra cheese. Almost. I had a big crush on this dude in High School in my Junior year, got over it in the Summer, and developed it back midway in Senior year.
