And oh my god, poor Victor. I honestly do feel bad for him.

I had a feeling that Sebastian would see a bit of Ciel (aka his deceased son figure) in him when I read about their relationship.

Also interesting how you incorporate vampires into the Black Butler universe!

Meet The Character Monday

Only it's not Monday, it's Thursday. I've been skipping the past few Mondays, mainly because I forgot but also because of school.

Today, I bring you Victor Hans. A secondary protagonist in my black butler fic "Entrusted To You." (picrew brought to you by niseo who has wonderful art btw)

Victor has been alive for a long time. Records of his existence were lost centuries ago. Sired in 1346 to ensure his survival of the bubonic plague, he took his sire's family name and integrated with human society, weeding his way through the nobility. Physically, he's in his twenties, but he's actually 491 years old (not that old for a vampire) and is technically still a fledgling. Because he no longer controls blood circulation or temperature regulation of his body, he wears many black clothes that retain light and make him overheat, along with wearing scarves all year round. Considering he was brought back from the dead, his body temperature is lower than that of the average live person.

Vampire hunters started a myth that their blood could cure any ailment, thus leading people in search of them. Which birthed a market for supernatural trafficking. Werewolves fangs and fur for their strength, siren scales for their voice, ghost ectoplasm for vitality. You name it, apothecaries stocked up on it, feeding into the trade.

Years before he meets Sebastian, he is kidnapped, his fangs are ripped out, and he is harvested for his blood. The hunters didn't give him the mercy of killing him right then. Instead, they took him back to their caravan, where other supernatural creatures were kept in captivity. They were a traveling freakshow for humans to point, stare at, or even poke. He tried many times to escape but to no avail. He couldn't get past security. Two hulking gargoyles were watching; to the untrained eye, they were just statues.

In his grief, distraught by being the cause of Ciel's death, Sebastian finds a letter stating that this was the final job for him as the butler to the Queen's Guard Dog. Ciel had been keeping tabs on apothecaries throughout London thanks to the Undertaker because people were getting killed, and Scotland Yard wasn't sure why. Desperate and hoping that this could bring Ciel back, he complies with his final orders and hunts down how the apothecaries got their ingredients. Eventually, going undercover with Raziel and allowing himself to get "captured" by the vampire hunters. (Think how Sebastian and Ciel infiltrate the circus)

When Victor meets Sebastian, he hates him. He's coddled by the demon and treated as someone he isn't, all because Sebastian sees him as Ciel and sees him as a second chance to be his butler again. Victor refuses to talk to him or even stand in the same room as him, but he has to ensure his safety. His disobedience lands him on a trip to the boss's office, where he is beaten. The human forces him to fight, even going as far as to try and get new fangs to sprout. (They can't because vampire fangs aren't like human teeth) Which leads him to break Victor's jaw. Bloodied and on the floor, as a last resort, Victor calls out to Sebastian, pleading to get him out of there to save him. The demon comes running like a dog when they see a bone.

Sebastian is blinded by the similarities he thinks Victor and Ciel share, blinded by his own grief, and he cannot think straight. Their contract binding is loose and unspecified. It causes many problems because Sebastian isn't bound adequately to his contractee and, therefore, can do whatever he wants as there is no reason for him to stay. Victor doesn't want him around and does not need a demon butler. But Sebastian saves him in tricky situations, leading Victor to reevaluate his feelings about having a butler. He had spent his life as a butler to his sire. Having a butler of his own is a luxury.

Raziel hates him because undead humans are no better than live humans. Live humans serve him no purpose; undead humans are even more useless. As an angel, he believes it defies logic and throws off the balance between life and death. He and Grelle try to get Sebastian to see that there is no bringing back Ciel, as it will never happen.

Super random Black Butler OC dump Part 1 (probably, maybe)

Feat. The 3D (that stands for “three demons”)

The dynamic of these three is basically “father raising two kids and he doesn’t restrict them like at all cause he likes when it pisses other people off” or some shit (it’s not two dads taking care of a kid, it’s a dad taking care of two kids btw lmao)

Adam is always panicking whenever he’s out with these three in public, like he’s always thinking about the three of them possibly blowing their cover as demons.

He’s especially like this with Maria the most. He’ll glance at her and go “oh her? That’s my daughter.”

“Sir, your daughter is biting someone’s arm off”

“SHIT—”

Maria will eat (almost) absolutely anything. 

Even if it’s raw. 

Or on the ground. 

Or in the trash.

If someone drops a tray full of food she’ll just eat it anyway

She’s a demon she doesn’t have to worry about digestive issues.

And neither does Tobias

Man’s quite the drinker

And thankfully demons can’t get drunk either

At least, I don’t think we can

Idk I remember seeing somewhere a panel of Sebastian with a bunch of empty wine glasses and he’s just fine

Also it’s not always noticeable

But Tobias and Maria also have these sharp ass teeth (similar to Grell but maybe even sharper than that)

Just a subtle little hint to their true demon forms

We have been in a Dadbastian drought (yet there's so much potential for fan media)

Personally, I believe we have been in a severe Dadbastian drought. I'm not really referring to canon Sebastian, so don't get confused with that.

Anyway. Kuroshitsuji has been around for like 14–17 years? Since it's been around for a while there should be no Dadbastian drought. However, in my opinion, there is a lack of fan media — whether that be fanfics or fanart.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that there's so much potential for fan media.

Like wdym, the trope where “boy who has lost everything has to make a deal with a demon who will eat his soul in the future; however, the demon starts to get parental and slowly, slowly realises he doesn't want to eat the boy's soul” doesn't sound appealing??

Can you imagine all the angst and hurt/comfort possiblities there are??

I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO SHIP CIEL AND SEBASTIAN FROM BLACK BUTLER!

There is so much wrong with this ship and I have a full LIST of reasons why you are disgusting if you ship it.

1. CIEL IS A MINOR. HE IS 13. I don't care that he acts like an adult sometimes or that he's emotionally mature, he is thirteen fucking years old.

2. Sebastian is like a thousand years old. He's ancient. Enough said.

3. Sebastian cares about Ciel mainly because of the contract. I'm not saying that's the only reason, but Sebastian is mainly with Ciel so he can munch on his soul and have some fun before he finds a new contractor. I do believe Sebastian might have grown more attached to Ciel, but at the end of the day, Sebastian just wants his soul ¯\(ツ)/¯

4. I'm aware that there are rumours that Black Butler was going to be some gross hardcore yaoi series, but the author changed it. I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF THERE ARE SOME REMINENTS OF WHAT BLACK BUTLER MIGHT'VE BEEN, THEY AREN'T A SHIP.

5. There is next to no evidence that they will/are canon. Fight me on this.

6. Some people say it's because the series is old and the people who used to read this were desperate to be with Sebastian or Ciel whoever, and tried to ship them to feed their own dreams but SERIOUSLY. Get a life please 💀

7. Ciel doesn't have a romantic chemistry any characters apart from Lizzy, and he doesn't even seem overly interested in her ngl 💀 And again, he's 13 let the kid just be a kid.

8. The series is most likely never going to go down a romantic path. It's about demons, mystery, and crime fighting. There's a lot more but those are BASICALLY THE MAIN THEMES. not romance.

I could think up so many more, but my fingers are sore from typing. Don't get me wrong, I'm all here for platonic sebaciel because I find their dynamic interesting, but pairing the characters romantically? 🤮

WTF why would someone go undercover as an enjoyer of something, like what were they planning??? jeeze these shippers are getting extra messed up and aggressive lately :(
