you held your boyfriend face gently in your hands as he held himself up above you. rin peered down at you with absolute love in his eyes, his hands on both sides of your head in order to hold himself up and have this sight of you. it was what he most admired about the early mornings before his busy schedule stole him away from you.

“don’t want you to go..” your voice was a whisper, so that only you and rin would be able to hear. you wanted your words to only be for you and him, no one else. “want you here with me forever..”

rin watched your lips as you spoke, listening to your addictive voice but also focusing on what he craved most. "soon.. i promise you'll have all my time-" rin leaned down to capture your lips in a sweet kiss. "all my attention-" another kiss, "all of me" and another.

the annoying sound of rin's third alarm went off, making you huff and making rin laugh at your expression.

"you should get up, too, brat," your boyfriends scoffed laugh made you pout, though he couldn't see your face anymore. you were forced to stare at the muscles on his back flex as he pulled on that plain black shirt he wore when he came over the day before, right after practice, just like he promised.

"don't wanna get up. too cold"

rin glanced over his shoulder at you and laughed softly to himself, whispering under his breath about how cute you looked wrapped in the blanket and your face pressed into the pillow. faintly, he could see your soft skin from where the blanket was slightly slipping off of your shoulder. he could also see the beginning of the bite mark he had left on you the night before and if the blanket slipped any further, he'd be able to see the deep purple marks on your skin that matched the ones on his chest.

"get up," this time, rin's voice was more strict and you knew that he wouldn't tolerate you being whiny any longer. "you leave the country tomorrow so you have to pack anyway"

a small groan sounded from you as rin slipped into the bathroom. you rolled off of the bed and shivered slightly, wrapping your arms around yourself and rubbing over your bare skin for warmth as you sifted through rin's bag in hopes that he brought his sweatshirt along.

by the time rin had finished in the bathroom, you already had a hot cup of coffee waiting for him, wrapped warmly in the sweatshirt that still smelled like him after wearing it just the day before. you sat on the edge of the bed, slightly kicking your feet as you stared at the floor, slightly squinting and blowing at the hot liquid so you can drink it.

the sight was very familiar to rin, so he walked over, grabbed his mug from the side table and sat beside you, relaxing completely when your head fell against his arm.

he knew you were still tired - because you always were when he'd leave you in the mornings - so he remained quiet when your eyes fell closed. and when your mug nearly slipped from your hands, rin set his and your still far too hot coffee back on the table and gently pulled you into his arms. a low whine sounded from you, which rin soothed with a soft kiss to your forehead.

rin had fifteen minutes until he had to slip out of your front door with a hoodie on and a mask covering his face, holding his gym bag while he walked briskly to his car. by now, he hardly peeked out of the door before leaving, realizing that the two of you were far too paranoid and there wasn't nearly enough to worry about than you had thought.

it never bothered rin to have a secret relationship and he understood why it had to be hidden for so long. you were internationally known, far more than he was, and neither of you wanted everyone to know every single aspect of your relationship. you both had wanted it only for yourselves. he's had you all to himself for years at this point and the last thing he wanted was for the connection to be tainted by the prying eyes of the public.

the very last thing rin wanted was to lose you when it was easily preventable.

and when his fifteen minutes was up, rin still held you delicately in his arms, moving slowly so he wouldn't wake you while he set you back down on the bed. "im leaving now, baby.." rin whispered sweetly against your forehead after kissing your skin. you still whined at rin's words, not even fully processing what he said but still knowing what he was saying.

"kiss" your voice was tired and slightly crackly but rin still leaned down with a small smile and a soft gaze focused on your scrunched up expression.

his lips met yours in a loving kiss, easing the both of you at the fact that you'd have to leave each other- knowing that you usually only had the late nights and early mornings to spend with each other when your schedules were this busy.

"gotta leave now.." rin whispered against your lips before slightly pulling away, reaching down to rub gently at your reddened cheeks. and with another soft kiss to your forehead, rin picked up his bag and left you in bed to mourn the loss of his warmth.

rin glanced back before walking out of your front door, adjusting his hoodie and slipping the wedding band he usually wore on his ring finger - now hanging on a necklace - beneath his shirt before leaving with only the lingering warmth of your lips once on his and the matching marks littering his skin from you.
