Yeah so this is my general process of drawing heads…it’s an amalgamation of many different things I’ve picked up over the years. This is by no means the best or the only way to draw heads, this is just the method I developed with time. Pro tip: FLIP YOUR CANVAS A LOT. I flip constantly to check and make corrections. The face/head is NEVER perfectly symmetrical, but some semblance of symmetry is needed. Of course, vary the features to give variety. I suffer from same-face syndrome but I’m working on putting more variety in my people…at least I want them to be distinguishable. Anyway, I hope this was helpful? My best advice is to practice practice practice. And don’t forget to observe. Why do you like how an artist draws a face? Or, why do you like how and actual person’s face is constructed? Play around with things until you find a method that’s suitable for you.
