Making some early tests for the final boss moveset. Let`s see if it's balanced. "get instantly obliterated" ...maybe a bit overtuned.
so about Josha...
I swear Purah just cloned herself and is trying to pass her off as some new kid she just happened to find.

Rita is the main protagonist of Rita's Nightmare Chute. She's a woman in her late twenties.
A few years back, she was employed as a cleaner and sort of nanny, but after the kid she was taking care of passed away by accident, she was blamed by her employer for his daughter's death ( which she had nothing to do with ) and got fired. Since then, because of her then former employer's big influence on the world ( as he's the CEO of a prominent company ), Rita hasn't been able to find any new job and ( although she's not fond of putting such a weight on him ) needs to rely on Toby, her boyfriend, for financial and emotional support.
In Rita's Nightmare Chute, you meet Rita when, alone at her flat, she receive's a letter from her former employer inviting her to his seaside little house to "appologies and make amends". At first reluctant to the idea of seeing her former employer again, she finds courage in Toby's company and goes with him to the location written in the letter.
As you can imagine ( since this is a psychological horror visual novel ) this won't go well.

About Irredeamable
Irredeamable is my latest project, a semi-linear action-adventure game, where you control this little bundle of anger and angst in her quest to recover her lost powers and bring forth the end of the world.

The game has a heavy emphasis on combat, with a bit of platforming, and a whole lot of boss fights. There is also some mysterious lore to be uncovered by those willing to brave the world's deepest, darkest depths. My main goal with this account is to spread awareness of the game as i work on it. I'll post threads about the game content, characters, and world, with occasional distractions such as my unhinged game design thoughts and ideas. Don`t hesitate to share thoughts and engage, i love nothing more than to talk about writing and game design.
it's looking like Face Erasure will be the first game i release, so i'll write up a quick rundown with more detail than what's been written in my pinned post.
you play as a resident of a town in which people are being cursed by the hundreds to lose their faces, often leading to a complete loss of identity - becoming "hollow". from the widespread panic, two opposing religious sects have sprung up: one which preaches that facelessness is a punishment for sin, and one which preaches that facelessness is a blessing, a chance to make more room for divinity within oneself.
to begin, you're approached by anais (she/her), a peppy faceless woman looking to proselytize you into the latter sect. though you turn down the offer, she still insists on at least being your friend, and you get roped into her efforts to provide support for the other faceless people of the town. in doing so, the two of you meet nemo (they/he), another faceless person who's been stuck at home with an untreated chronic illness. after helping them with their grocery shopping, anais drags nemo into your party just the same as she did to you, with the extraordinary power of friendship and stubborn altruism. the three of you bond with each other as you continue assisting the townspeople, and your goals come to include making peace between the feuding sects, and discovering the true cause of the curse afflicting the town.
the story focuses on themes of personal identity, social ostracization, disability and mental illness, and the threats that cults pose to the people caught up in them. i intend to use horror elements to portray the emotional side of these themes while remaining tactful. the story is based largely in my own experiences, so i aim to do those subjects justice and shed some light on the matters.
i'm currently still in the planning stages and have no timeframe for the game's release. the beginning, true ending, and basic plot beats have been decided on, so it's now a matter of fleshing out the meat on the bones and further developing the cast before moving on to the creation of the game itself. it will either be a visual novel or an RPG depending on which format i end up deciding will work best. and, as with all my future games, i plan to make Face Erasure as accessible as possible.
