"...I think I'm back."

The second the words left Prentice's mouth, Tiergan leapt to his feet. He ran across the room in a matter of seconds, shoving Forkle to the side in his hurry. (If Sophie was honest with herself, it was kind of funny to watch Forkle nearly topple over.) Tiergan held out his hand and helped Prentice to his feet before pulling him close. That was odd, Sophie thought. Tiergan normally didn't like hugging people. Prentice must be really special to him.

Tiergan spoke softly. Sophie couldn't hear most of it, but she caught I missed you so much and I'm so glad you're back and something that might have been I love you.

Sophie smiled. She was happy for them. It was nice to see Tiergan reunited with his best friend after so long.

"I love you too," Prentice said, and he leaned back slightly from Tiergan's embrace, just enough for Sophie to see that he was smiling. And then Tiergan kissed him.

Sophie's jaw dropped.

Were they- was Tiergan- what?

She had so many questions. Questions she would definitely be asking Tiergan at her next telepathy class. For now, though, it seemed best to not interrupt them.

hello! i'm doing a sort of tournament/bracket thing (i still don't know what to call it) for Keeper of the Lost Cities OCs!

The jist is - People sumbit oc's, as many as they want, and they go up against each other in a poll. You'll provide an image and backstory/context of your oc, and people vote for which one's their favorite!

I don’t even care if it’s macaroni, ramen or those little bowls you stick in the microwave. Please, I need reassurance that most of the population on tumblr WOULDN’T STARVE TO DEATH if their parents couldn’t fix them food or they couldn’t go out to eat. 

Alden Vacker has a lot of regret. He's learned to hide it, if course. It comes natural to him, more of a survival instinct than anything.

He's felt permanently guilty for as long as he can remember. It builds up. It takes a lot for him to break.

And somehow, he did.

And even though he was healed... it didn't make any of it go away. It just gave his mind enough strength, an supportive brace, to continue functioning.

But he's not fixed.

He's still broken inside.

He still has all those regrets — big and little.

The things he could have done differently.

All the pain he has caused.

He looks at Fitz, he watches him smile, and he sees himself in his eyes. And that pains him.

Alden realizes now just how lucky he is that Fitz is alive today. He realizes that what he did was indeed very stupid.

He feels sorry. But he never apologized.

There was just never the right moment.

There's never the right moment for any of it.

Never the right moment to say "I'm sorry" or "I love you" or "You are enough."

He forgets those things need to be said out loud sometimes.
