The Fruits by Paris Paloma reminds me SO MUCH of Angel. Of course because of this line: “Angel, he calls me. Does he know that I’m falling?- for if I’m going down, I guess I’ll take you with me-“ and so on.

And of course that got me overthinking: what if Angel had some secret dark undertones, like what if something is seriously wrong here? They aren’t exactly a villain themselves, but they eventually get caught up with Quinn or Vega?

And with a petname as pure and sweet as “Angel”, how ironically beautiful would it be if they were the exact opposite of those adjectives? There’s such deep meaning behind why David calls them ‘Angel’, putting that to waste would be so heartbreaking and I love it.

The whole atmosphere of the song is so ominous and dark. Like something to be discovered or found out. “You’re so pure he says, does he know I’m forsaken? The original sinner, but soon you’ll know.” There’s such great potential for angst here.

Now the switch to those spoken ‘darker undertones’: “devil you call me, but seem to be enjoying, the fruits of my labor that came to me too young. When he stole my virtue, I’m glad it seems to serve you.” Angel is a force to be manipulated in every universe- especially within The Imperium. But also being an unempowered human surrounded by magical beings. They’re just a pawn to be used up in their own eyes.

Angel absolutely has low self-worth because of that fact, leading to some rather impulsive decisions and desires. They want more, they want worth and power. Which is exactly how they found themselves wound up with high King Imperial in the Imperium universe. With absolutely no escape.

So it’s just too easy to get them in a weak spot- Quinn finds that so endearing how they’ve found themself where they are. “Under big bad alpha Shaw’s arm.” And of course it’s not just Quinn who noticed it, but he’s the first to dig through their potential for more within they’re own oblivion.

And the breathing within the end of the song could be their exhaustion with trying to catch up with everyone else- to be a safe harbour that’s cracking at the foundation. (Hey little songbird from Hadestown is giving me Quinn and Angel energy) he not only offers them an escape, he offers them eternal rest.

What if vampire hunters existed in the Redactedverse? There’s no way there isn’t some group against vamps, it’s pretty much the same thing as Closeknit: with humans being a primary food source for demons/daemons. (But with vampires and humans) referencing Trevor Belmont from Castlevania, there are whole legacies around hunting and/or slaying vampires- to full on ridding the world of them.

And what if we were introduced to these hunters in an enemies to lovers trope-style-audio with a vampire hunter x vampire? THE TENSION POSSIBILITIES ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME- ugh the banter (I’m also imagining this guy having the same voice/accent as Trevor Belmont and I’m losing my mind) (also tagging @4ngelv4mp :D)

Mad scientist Sweetheart x experiment Milo:

It’s a very SCP containment breach environment over here, experimenting on empowered people and finding the source of their magic. Sweetheart is an undercover Stealth at the facility, who had taken a large interest in other major empowered races. They found their interests and skills lined up with a particular gateway to the information they needed- a job in empowered experimentation.

Milo had just happened to be the shifter assigned to be under their care at the facility. I’m imagining Milo up on a doctors table while Sweetheart circles him with a clipboard. He finds them absolutely adorable in their white lab coat, so Milo’s grinning and flirting with them all throughout the daily check-ups.

Also Milo who’s a little afraid of needles and way to proud to show it- so he mumbles and asks them to hold his hand as they perform the procedure. Sweetheart has seen the shifter cocky and playful, but never vulnerable. But they comply nevertheless despite the warmth building up in their chest.

AU WHERE MILO IS EDDIE BROCK AND SWEETHEART IS VENOM. I mean Milo as Eddie Brock just makes sense in general right down to the accent and personality like- these two are the same man. And Sweetheart as Venom is something I can absolutely get around to- the thirst for chaos? The teasing? The playful banter between these two? It’s uncanny.

Listen I UNDERSTAND the clan’s territory is within Wonderworld, but what if William just invested in a big ass castle to house himself and the rest of the clan if desired. His room being the grandest of course, this man aims for luxury- while a majority of the second floor holds multiple guest rooms, each claimed by certain clan members (but he installs extras of course).

He hosts balls throughout the seasons, even lets his secret favorites of the clan choose the themes. William always leaves his doors open for Darlin and the pack, and invites Lovely and Sam over for tea (Sam and lovely are absolutely a chaotic duo). He’s so comforting and patient with Darlin and Lovely, treats them like his own progeny.
