cal always initially winces when the alcohol hits his throat. andre finds it endearing. every time without fail, when andres just getting started cals beginning to get giggly and losing his inhibitions, and by the time andre starts feeling it cals already hammered. thats around the time cal clings to andre the most. his mood shifts and his brain is hardwired to seek andre for comfort, his breath hot on andres lips in contrast to the ice cold of andres fingers slipping under his shirt to curl around his hip.

thats also around the time andre has to pull away to remind himself that cal isnt in the right state and he most likely wont remember this when he wakes up, – he never dared to ask – so the most logical thing to do is, he thinks, take a step back. but he knows that when cal gets like this, if he isnt on andre then hes sobbing in his arms, and andre feels a little bit selfish for preferring the outcome where he doesnt feel the sting of hearing cal cry. and the way cal looks up at him when he weakly utters 'please' with that unmistakable tang of urgency in his voice is just what spins andres alcohol-clouded judgment around and makes him lose his resolve, pulling cal in again. without fail, every time.

Yall, I've seen enough people talking about Cal having an ed, but did we ever think it could be Rachel?

We know what kind of blogs were around at the time. You know, the ones that contained "Ana" and "mia" in the title or in the full page. The so called "diets" that consisted and promoted not eating anything or barely anything in weeks. And we know that, ed's are more common in females.

Also, this was the fucking ideal body every woman wanted to have at the time:

We're all familiar with the term "thigh gap", right?

And Rachel, being semi popular and hanging out with Cal, which is not a good fucking influence, having popular girl friends, bulimia being common at the time and the easiness in finding those blogs could led to her having an ed.

I mostly think it would be bulimia.

(This made me think about the three girls in elephant, you know which ones)

(I don't really headcanon this, but this makes more sense to me than the "anorexic and bulimic Cal!" agenda)

I just know Cal would write over any fucking situation that happens in his life.

I truly think he got rid of it way before burning his other things with Andre because of how obsessive and weird were the things that he wrote, truly expressing himself. Poems, even filling pages and pages with the same words, over and over again. Writing in some sort of diary, hiding it under his bed or in-between forgotten books. He would write about Rachel, how weirdly he viewed himself, how he hated almost everything around him, how badly he wanted to die. Some of those pages would even contain some sort of red liquid, other pages would be broken because of the strength he was using putting the pen down to write, some pages would be incompleted, not even finishing the sentences he was once writing, other ones filled with Andre's name. He would burn all of it away from everyone, completely alone. He would be scared of his parents finding out, of Rachel finding out, of Andre finding out.
