Tech: that was when he shot Wrecker. Oh, and he tried to roast us alive in a spaceship engine. That was all under the influence of the inhibitor chip, though. Supposedly he’s had it removed since then. So his murderous tendencies have probably chilled out a little bit.

Phee:

And well, Tech will continue fucking in my fic.

The struggle of needing to search for Tech's name to confirm if a fic is tagged for him because he's actually IN it, or was mentioned and is just dead.

Tech's S3 plot resolution is a crime against me personally.

I’m saying this as someone who hated the idea of Tech as CX-2, there were so many parallels to Tech, from character design to speech patterns to music choices, that when he finally muttered out “domicile,” I felt like I just had to accept that it was happening.

I simply think we should stop making CX-2 & Marrok comparisons because theorizing about the identity of a significant antagonist of multiple episodes that is explicitly made to seem significant and shares multiple visual and musical cues with a character that had an ambiguous death last season. And is one of several similarly masked characters who are questioned on their identity. Is very different from spotting a masked guy in the back and deciding he was important based on vibes even though he didn't do anything until he died.

Like we understand these are different right?

I wanted to draw something Star Wars related for this day, but was kind of still down and sad, thanks Bad Batch finale 🙂

Anyway, the only drawing I could come up with was my own take on old Tech, because I will reject canon and make my own. (it was also fun to realize I have no idea how to draw older people while trying to draw an older gentleman lol)

I'd like to think that after season 2 ended, and Echo left to do his own things, he went back to Eriadu to look for Tech, found him, and took him somewhere safe to heal up. His healing process was long, and that's why he wasn't around during season 3.

And he wasn't on Pabu during the epilogue, because he was already away on some rebel base, maybe on Yavin 4, waiting for Omega to join him so they both could be badass pilots.

After all, like Omega said, the rebellion needs pilots.

Then, one day, as Tech is fixing up his x-wing, he sees a new ship arrive. It flies fast and a little reckless, but is clearly controlled by a talented pilot. And then, as the ship turns to land, he recognizes the move it pulled - the 'Tech turn'.

He smiles, waiting for the pilot to exit her ship.
