“How can you stand it like this?” Crosshair asked. “This place is a mess.”

“Nobody made you sit here,” Tech pointed out reasonably, hunched over his data pad. “You are certainly welcome to leave and return to your own rigidly organized bunk, if you prefer.”

Crosshair just shifted behind him, squishing his cheek more heavily into Tech’s shoulder and letting out an exaggerated yawn. “Nah. I’m good.”

“I suspected that was the case,” Tech chuckled. His brother’s weight against him was a familiar comfort, despite how irritating Crosshair could be sometimes. “Well, you are welcome any time.”
