Prompt: Day 6 - Christmas Baking
Authors note - does anyone else hear couple baking one shot and immediately think fluff and flirting 🥰😂
Masterlist

It was a lazy December morning as Taehyung and I were sitting on the couch, a bowl of oats in hand.
“Taehyung, I’m begging you, please just pick a channel” I whined as he surfed through countless channels while we ate breakfast.
He sighed “there is literally nothing on today.”
“Ooo there’s a Christmas special, leave it on that” I pleaded, causing Taehyung to shake his head laughing, knowing how obsessed I was with anything festive.
So we sat there watching lifestyle program, finishing our meal when they advertised after the commercial that they would be showing how to make gingerbread houses.
“Oh my god Tae, we should totally make a gingerbread house today!” I beamed, looking over to my boyfriend.
“Okay.. that actually sounds super fun!” he smirked, always on board to do anything creative.
“Come one! We’ll go get dressed and drive to the shops and get ingredients!”
***
Taehyung followed closely behind me, carrying a basket full of spices for the gingerbread and an array of lollies and chocolates for decoration, probably more than we needed. It was difficult going out to places such as supermarkets, with the risk of Taehyung being noticed. This was one of the difficult things about dating an idol, and something that I always sympathised with Taehyung about. It was hard to go out and do everyday tasks, and Taehyung often wore his facial mask and a cap to hide his face, which thankfully, was not that unusual in Seoul.
After spending way too much money on this gingerbread house, Taehyung and I made our way back to his car, each carrying a bag of ingredients and junk food, and chucking them in the back seat. It didn’t take us long to get back home, our apartment only a ten-fifteen minute drive from the shops.
Taehyung turned his keys in the front door, and we rushed into our kitchen, pulling out all the ingredients.
“Okay!” He announced, “what first”. He began looking through all the decorative foods.
“First we actually need to make the gingerbread.” I was definitely the baker in our home. Taehyung was always happy to cook a beautiful meal for dinner (including a few experimental dishes..), but I was always the one creating something sweet and less healthy. I asked him to get out a few bowls and utensils while I started pulling out the ingredients.
I stood up on my tippy-toes in order to grab the flour from the top shelf, suddenly jumping when I felt a hand against my behind, a small pinch causing me to yelp!
“Ow!” I turned around to be met with a cheeky, boxy smile, giggling back at me.
“Stop being a perve and help me with the flour” I teased, hitting his arm.
“Alright, come here” Taehyung smiled, before wrapping his arms around my legs, and lifting me up in order to reach the flour.
Propping up one of my festive cookbooks, I talked through each step, Taehyung and I working together to make the dough for the gingerbread. It wasn’t long before it was ready to go in the oven, giving us time to wait for it to bake and cool before putting it all together.
While we waited, we began cleaning up, dancing and singing around the kitchen as we played Christmas carols in the background.
“Wanna help me put this flour away” I asked, picking the jar up from the kitchen counter.
“It would be my pleasure” he smiled, picking me up against him as I placed it back in the cupboard. As he let me down, I felt Taehyung’s hand brush up along my thighs and across my hips. Someone was feeling extra flirty today.
“If you can’t keep your hands to yourself, Kim Taehyung..” I smirked up at him.
“You’ll what..?” he asked, raising his eyebrows at me. We had been dating for two years yet this boy still managed to call upon kaleidoscope of butterflies to gather inside me. I could feel his warm breath brush against my lips, his dark eyes darting between my own and down to my lips.
We both jumped as his phone alarm went off, indicating that the gingerbread would be cool enough to assemble. Taehyung smiled at me, pressing a quick peck against my cheek. I smiled, rolling my eyes as he dragged me to our kitchen table where we had set up all the decorations, he got distracted so easily.
Putting the house together was definitely the hard part! Both our hands were covered in icing as we tried to stick roof to wall and wall to wall, shouting and laughing in frustration every time it collapsed. Taehyung cheered triumphantly when it finally stayed put, only to be shooshed by me, worried that his loud voice would cause another casualty.
Taehyung was completely focused on the task of decorating, loving any activity that allowed him to be creative. I watched as his brows fused together in concentration, his eyes completely fixed on his decorations.
Once all the lollies had been glued with icing to the gingerbread (roughly half consumed through the process), Taehyung and I stepped back to admire our creation!
“I think this is definitely worthy of being featured on that show earlier” he announced.
“If not better than theirs” I agreed, turning to notice how much icing had actually ended up on his face, laughing at how cute he looked.
“What?” He asked.
“You covered in icing” I giggled, as I began trying to brush the set icing from his soft cheeks.
“Don’t you talk” he laughed “you’ve got icing sugar all over you!” I looked down to see my clothes dusted with what we used as snow.
I began to brush it off when Taehyung grabbed a hold of me, finally pressing his lips to my own. I smiled against the kiss “you taste sweet”
“So do you.” He pulled away, a playfulness evident within his eyes. “We can clean up this mess later. I feel like something sweet, and I’m not talking about the gingerbread house..”

*Buzz*
I ran over to my apartment intercom, pressing the speaker.
“Y/N! Are you ready for dinner?” Taehyung announced through the machine.
“Hi Taehyung! I’ll let you up.”
I felt nervous around Taehyung before because he was a cute guy showing me affection, but now that I knew what a big name he was, my nerves skyrocketed as he approached my apartment. I just hoped he told me soon, because I hated the thought of keeping it from him that I knew.
He had messaged me a few days earlier to say the restaurant we were going to was quite prestigious, and suggested I should wear my best dress (it was a polite way of warning me that I wouldn’t want to show up in the wrong dress code!) After many outfit crises, I went for a laced lilac bodycon dress, with a square shoe-string strap top. I also went to the extra effort to loosely curl my hair. I sat down to put on my sensible, but classy, heels and waited for Taehyung to arrive.
Even the knock at my door matched his cool demeanour. As I opened it, I was amazed by how many times this guy could wow me with his fashion. He wore black pants and black slip-on dress shoes with gold trimming. Tucked into his belt was a subtle floral button up shirt, and I didn’t miss that the top button was undone.
“You look.. stunning” he exclaimed, as I noticed his eyes grazed up and down my figure, before quickly darting to my eyes as he smiled.
“Is it okay to wear?” I asked nervously trying to adjust the dress, unsure sure how to react.
“Definitely” he confidently smirked, heat rushing to my face. “Shall we head off then?”
I nodded happily, grabbing my coat from the couch and locking the door behind us.
***
We made our way into the notably fancy restaurant, my arm linked around his. A smartly-dressed man bowed as we entered, as Taehyung announced reservations under his name. The man led us past an array of diners until I noticed we were near the back of the restaurant. He stopped us at a table located at a full length corner window showing a stunning view of Seoul’s lights at night, and trees strung with warm fairy lights. The table was lined with a few candles, highlighting a place card reading VIP Only.
After thanking the employee, Taehyung walked over to one of the chairs, pulling it out and gesturing me to sit. Before I did, he placed his hands on my shoulders and gently removed my coat. I couldn’t help but notice his warm hands slightly brushing against my bare shoulders.
He smiled brightly as he sat down opposite me “are you comfortable?”
“Yes, thank you! It’s a beautiful spot” I said, looking out over the city.
A waiter appeared at our table, handing us each a menu and pouring us each a glass of wine. Taehyung prompted me to have a read of the menu. I must not have hidden my worried face after looking at the prices of each dish, because he was quick to comment. “My shout, Y/N.”
“I don’t expect you..” I argued, but he cut me off by shaking his head.
“It’s fine, I want to” he smiled. “Although, I guess you are wondering how I can afford a place like this..” he began tracing around the bottom of his wine glass.
“Well..”
Taehyung looked up at me. I smiled guiltily, causing him to chuckle. “I thought you might figure it out.”
“I was curious about your music..” I said, laughing in defence.
“It’s fine” Taehyung laughed “So? Do you like it?”
I nodded frantically “you’re incredibly talented! All of you.”
“Thank you” his boxy grin spreading across his face “you probably know the story of BTS now?”
“I’d much rather hear it from you than a bunch of internet articles” I smiled, taking a sip of wine.
***
“Can I ask you a question?” I said quietly, after hearing how Taehyung became such a successful idol. He simply nodded. “Why me?” I asked.
Taehyung looked at me, ever so slightly tilting his head to the side, unsure of what I meant.
“I mean, why did you talk to me that day? And choose to take me out to a place like this?”
He shrugged his shoulders, but smiled sweetly “I don’t know?”
Not really the answer I was wanting to hear..
“Sorry! I don’t mean that in a bad way! It’s just.. there was something about you. The way you showed love to your dog, I could see how caring you are. And that’s something I’ll always look for in a friend.”
I felt my heart drop into my stomach as that last word left Taehyung’s lips. I wanted to sink down into my chair and disappear, cursing myself for thinking he was actually interested in anything more. My eyes met Taehyung’s and he smiled, clearly unaware I was expecting him to say anything else.
“Plus it was refreshing meeting someone who didn’t know who I was” he said lightly, before looking down at his food “sometimes it’s hard to know who is your friend because of you or because of your fame.”
I could see the sadness behind his eyes.
“That is.. if you still want to be friends?” He continued. “I understand if this world is all a bit much.”
I was quick to shake my head “of course I do Taehyung, you’re a good friend and I’m glad I met you” I smiled, trying to hide my disappointment. “Plus, I don’t think Tannie and Kanna would be very happy!” I laughed, Taehyung agreeing as he laughed too.
“So.. what about Taehyung away from BTS? How do you enjoy to spend your free time?” I asked, still wanting to know more about Taehyung the person, not the idol.
“I like photography. And art” he smiled fondly. “I also like to learn the occasional instrument.”
“Wow, you certainly keep yourself busy. What sort of photos do you take?”
“Anything really. I like to capture things I love. Whether that’s scenery or people. I just really like having a snapshot of something beautiful.” He spoke so passionately, I could listen to him speak all day.
A main course, dessert and a whole bottle of wine later we decided it was time to call it a night.
“Thank you for dinner, Taehyung. I had a wonderful time” I said as we got out of his car at the front of my apartment building.
“Thank you for spending time with me tonight” he smiled softly, pulling me in for hug. “Let’s catch up again soon.”
“I’d love that” I agreed, slightly disappointed to know that this hug was only one shared between friends.
But a friend I was happy to have.
Our own separate, little Christmas
25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 13 - Writing Christmas Cards Together Day 16 - Wrapping Presents Day 22 - Exchanging Presents with the Boys
Authors note - this ended up being more about writing cards than exchanging gifts, I think my inspiration has been running a bit on the last couple of drabbles. I have one more to write for this series, which might take a while to be out as I’m hoping it’s the longest (and one of the more detailed drabbles)
Masterlist

We’ve got these presents to wrap for the boys, plus four for your family” I announced to Taehyung as I sat crossed-legged on the floor surrounded by wrapping paper, decorations, cards and a stack of presents. “Plus a card for everyone on this list.”
“I’ll get started on writing the cards, if you want to wrap?” Taehyung suggested, grabbing the Christmas card list I passed him.
I nodded, passing Taehyung the pile of cards as he sat in front of the coffee table.
The Grinch played on the TV as I wrapped and decorated the gifts we had bought for our family and friends. Taehyung occasionally asked for my input on a card, and read each one aloud to ensure it said everything we wanted it to. Once each gift was wrapped, I tied it with ribbon and added a small decoration of a mini bauble or fake holly. Then finally finishing with a large, festive tag, with love from Y/N and Taehyung written neatly.
I shuffled on my knees over to where he was sitting when it came to writing cards to both our parents. Family was a huge thing for both Taehyung and I, so each of us took the time to write how thankful we were to them, and how much we cared for them. As I finished writing my message to Taehyung’s parents, I turned to catch him reading over my shoulder, smiling.
“Hey!”
“Can’t I read it?” he smiled, innocently.
“Well, yeah I guess. It’s just kinda embarrassing..”
Taehyung squeezed my knee, before picking the card up.
Dear Mr and Mrs. Kim,
Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas, and wonderful new year. Thank you for inviting me to spend Christmas in your home, and for welcoming me into your family - I have always felt as at home as I do with my own family. I want to thank you for raising such a kind, caring and loving son. Taehyung is nothing but a gentleman, and always goes out of his way to make me feel loved. I know you’re just as proud of him as I am.
Looking forward to spending a Korean Christmas with you!
All my love, Y/N xxx
Taehyung finished reading the card, and looked up at me, fondness in his eyes. “Do you know how much they love you” he smiled.
I smiled back shyly, “okay, it’s only fair if I read what you wrote to my parents now.”
“Fair” he agreed, passing me the Christmas card.
Dear Mr and Mrs. Y/L/N,
메리 크리스마스 - Merry Christmas! Thank you for welcoming me so easily into your family. Y/N and I had a wonderful time visiting you earlier in the month, and getting to celebrate an additional Christmas! I know I do not need to tell you how amazing your daughter is. I love her with my whole heart, and would do anything for her. She is my entire world, and I want to thank you for allowing me to meet the love of my life.
새해 복 많이 받으세요 - Happy New Year!
Kim Tae-Hyung.
It wasn’t until I stopped that I realised tears had begun to form in my eyes. I looked up at my boyfriend as he spoke.
“Is it too personal?” he asked.
I shook my head quickly. “You’re going to make them cry, you know that?” I laughed.
“I just spoke what I felt” he smiled.
“I love you too” I said, pulling him in for a kiss.
Our moment was then interrupted by the ring of our apartment doorbell, indicating the boys had arrived for our gift exchange.
I placed a quick peck to Taehyung’s lips, as I stood up to answer the door, Taehyung packing up and quickly placing the boys gifts under the tree.
“Y/N!” Hoseok shouted as I opened the door to the six boys and Jimin, Jin and Namjoon’s girlfriends.
“Hobi!” I smiled, as he pulled me in for a hug.
I greeted the others one by one, letting them through our front door and hearing the yelling from the lounge room as Taehyung greeted his friends. The girls and I rolling our eyes at each other, laughing at how child-like our grown boyfriends behave when they’re in the same room.
While everyone made themselves comfortable in the lounge, placing their own gifts under the tree, Taehyung helped me carry out drinks and snacks to share, placing them on the coffee table and joining the rest of the group. Taehyung took the empty arm chair, immediately pulling me onto his lap and wrapping his arms around me. His friends still cooed and whistled at their younger brother, even after the two years we had been together. While it still caused my cheeks to heat up, Taehyung had come to ignore it.
“Shall we start handing out presents?” Jin asked excitedly, receiving a joyful agreement from Hoseok.
I could’t wipe the smile off my face, watching the boys open their gifts from Taehyung and I, with Tae always giving me a slight squeeze in excitement when someone would start unwrapping one of our gifts. It made me even happier seeing Taehyung’s reaction to opening a gift for us (which he couldn’t help but assist me with the unwrapping!) His eyes would always widen in wonder, as he initially tried to work out what the gift was, to which he would then turn to me and discuss where we could put it, or what we would do with it, his face scrunched up into a smile.
Afternoon turned into evening, the group of us having a wonderful time exchanging Christmas gifts, laughing, drinking and stuffing our faces - our own separate, little Christmas.

25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 15 - Building a Snowman Day 17 - Messing Around in the Snow
Masterlist

“Taehyung!” I shouted, even though morning had just arrived. I had made my way downstairs, our glass kitchen door catching my eye as it revealed our back porch blanketed in white snow. The first snow of this December.
“Whaaat?” I heard a grumpy voice call back, clearly not wanting to get up.
“You have to come see!” I called back.
Bare footsteps made their way down stairs, dragging a sleepy boy with them. His hair was still a mess, as he rubbed his sleep riddled eyes.
“Look” I squealed, pointing to the kitchen door.
Taehyung stared outside until realisation dawned on his sleepy face.
“It’s snowing!” He announced excitedly.
I stood next to him next to the door and looked out at our white garden, the strong wind blowing the snow sideways. “Do you think the storm will settle down and we’ll be able to go outside later?”
“Let’s hope so” Taehyung smiled down at me. “I think a snowball fight is in order” he said, nudging his shoulder into mine.
“Ha! You don’t know what’s coming for you” I teased, going to switch on the kettle and make the two of us a hot drink while enjoying the storm from our warm kitchen.
***
The storm began settling throughout late morning, and after lunch it looked as if it had finally passed. Taehyung and I stopped the movie we were watching, to rush upstairs and put warm clothes on.
Taehyung pulled open to kitchen door, both gasping as we were met with the lingering freeze in the air. I run passed him outside, bending my knees to feel the snow in my glove covered hands. I squealed out suddenly as a heavy force banged against my body, pulling me onto the cold ground, Taehyung’s loud laugh in my ears.
“Tae! You’re such an ass!” I yelled, laughing, his grip tightly around my waist.
“Maybe. But it’s an ass you love” he smirked, winking.
I couldn’t help but laugh, playfully rolling my eyes. He was right, and he bloody knew it.
“Let’s build a snowman” Taehyung suddenly announced, as he pulled me up from the wet ground.
I giggled at him, reaching up to brush snow from his cheek. “Good idea.”
Having experienced many more snow days and trips than myself, Taehyung taught me how to build a snowman. We rolled up mounds of snow for the body, stacking it on top of each other until we had three spheres of snow ready to decorate.
“I’ll go inside and get a carrot” I said, as Taehyung searched the garden for any rocks to use as facial features.
I was about to open the door, carrot in hand, when I noticed Taehyung was focused on perfecting the shape of the snowman. The perfect opportunity for attack. I slowly and quietly slid the door open and knelt down to the ground to form my weapon quickly.
“Gotcha!” I shouted, as I hurled the snowball towards Taehyung, smacking him in the shoulder.
He shouted out in surprise, my gloves covering my mouth as I laughed. He looked at me in utter betrayal, before a cheeky grin appeared on his face. He bent down to form a snowball in his hands.
“No!” I shrieked, as the ball of snow hit me in the arm, Taehyung laughing at my reaction.
“Oh-ho you are dead, Kim Taehyung!”
***
We spent a good portion of the afternoon messing around in the snow together, finally deciding to come inside when the sun started to disappear and the cold was no longer bearable. Taehyung and I walked back inside, the two of us wet and shivering from being covered in snow. I took off my gloves and beanie, chucking them on the kitchen table only to be greeted by a pair of hands snaking around my waist.
Taehyung hummed into my ear “you know what I could really go for right about now? One of your relaxing hot baths.”
I raised my hand against his cheek “I’ll go run you one now.” I said, his boxy grin forming a reply.
I ran the tap until the perfectly warm temperature was met, pouring in some scented bubble bath and adding a soothing bath bomb. While the bath filled, I lit the candles on the side, as well as a few placed near the sink. Once I was happy with the level of the water, I placed a towel on the bench and turned off the lights.
I didn’t need to call for Taehyung as he was already waiting against the door frame, a satisfied smile sat on his face.
“There you go, love. I’ll have a shower while you’re in there so I can warm up too.” I began to walk when he moved in the door frame, blocking my way.
“You’re not going to join me” Taehyung smirked “seems like a waste otherwise.”
My stomach began to flutter at his forwardness, the heat already returning to my face. “Well, I would hate to pass up an offer like that” I smiled, struggling to keep eye contact.
Taehyung wasted no time removing his clothes, myself following his lead and doing the same. There was a different tension present. More intimate and vulnerable than sexual. We had slept together plenty of times, but there was something different about being exposed to each other this way. Once we were fully undressed, Taehyung walked passed me into the dimly lit bathroom and dipped his hand in to test the water. I stood behind him as he slipped into the water, and fully emerged into the bubbles.
He turned to me and smiled, beckoning me to join him. I lightly stepped into the warm bath and began to sit facing him, only to have him hold out one arm towards me and pat his chest with the other. I shuffled in the water to move to sit between his legs, my back pressed against his bare chest. I would never get used to how beautiful he looked in any situation. His cheeks were flushed pink and the hair covering his forehead was already beginning to become damp from the condensation.
He gently rubbed his hands up and down my thighs, and I immediately closed my eyes, humming in satisfaction. I didn’t know what was making me hotter, the temperature of the water or our naked bodies pressed together.
I rested my head back on his shoulder. His deep voice vibrated against me “we should definitely do this more often.”
And I couldn’t agree more.
The Perfect Tree
25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 9 - Decorating the Tree
Masterlist

“Let’s get this one jagi!” Taehyung shouted over to me, pointing at a ginormous Christmas tree.
“That’s too big, Tae!” I laughed back at him, walking over.
Taehyung leaned closer so that only I could hear him. “You weren’t complaining about that last night” he smirked winking at me, only for me to gasp and hit him on the arm.
“Shut up, Taehyung!” The blood rushing straight to my cheeks, in hopes that no one heard him.
He laughed loudly, apparently amused by my embarrassment. “But seriously, it’s so big and Christmassy, we need this tree!”
It was the day before December 1st, and Taehyung and I had driven out to a Christmas tree farm, wanting our apartment to smell of the real thing this year.
“It’s lovely, but you know it won’t fit in our living room babe. I’m sure we can find another one just as Chrismassy” I smiled, pulling him away from the new apparent love of his life.
We walked through rows and rows of pine trees, the smell absolutely heavenly. Some trees, to Taehyung’s sadness, were too big, others we agreed were too small. Some were lopsided, or weren’t full enough. It took us a good half an hour until were came across the perfect tree.
“Tae, look at this one!” I announced, inspecting the possible contender. It was around 6.5 ft tall, with it’s branches flourished, and was almost symmetrical all around.
Taehyung placed his fingers to his chin, squinting his eyes “Hmmm..” he said, as he walked around the tree, causing me to giggle. “Looks pretty good to me” he flashed his boxy smile.
“We’ll take this one please” Taehyung spoke to the worker walking by.
We watched as they sawed down our new tree, and I kept smiling up at Taehyung in excitement. Once it was done, and we handed over the money, Taehyung huffed as he picked the tree up and swung it over his shoulder. His arm and back muscles contracting as he did. God he was hot.
“Come on Y/N” he called out as he walked to the car, breaking me from my daydream.
***
“Turn it back the other way again..” I was sitting cross-legged on the couch in front of the tree, while Taehyung laid on the floor, rotating it until we found the perfect placement.
“Stop. Okay, just slightly to the left..”
“I swear we just had it this way” Taehyung groaned.
“Little more..” I said, ignoring him. “Stop! I think it’s perfect, come see!”
Taehyung stood up, brushing pine needles from his shirt as I stood up next to him. “Happy?” I asked him, brushing more needles from his hair.
“I think it looked better before” he said bluntly. I turned to him about to protest “I’m kidding” he laughed, nudging me. “Now all it needs is decorations!”
We opened up our box of decorations, taking out the warm coloured fairylights. Taehyung and I stood on either side of the tree, passing the lights around to each other until they covered the whole tree, me standing on my tippy toes trying to help with the ones closest to the top.
Taehyung then bought over the box containing the rest of the decorations. We had opted for a classy looking tree, going for clear glass baubles with items such as pine, feathers or fake snow inside, as well as some rustic woodland decorations such as little deer or foxes. We put a Christmas playlist through the tv, and both sang along while we chose were to place each ornament. Taehyung was just as picky as me, making sure that everything was evenly spaced.
“I thought I would save this one for last” I said, picking up the final ornament from the coffee table, holding it up by it’s red ribbon string. It was a white, marble plaque with the words Our First Christmas - 2018 inscribed. We had bought it while Christmas shopping last year, not even knowing whether we’d still be together, but Taehyung insisted that it would ensure we would stay together for many Christmas’ to come, which I thought was the sweetest thing.
We placed our ornament front and centre of our tree, and I turned to place a kiss on Taehyung’s parted lips, lingering against his soft mouth for just a moment.
“I’m glad we bought that decoration” I smiled at him.
“Me too, jagi”
“Now all that’s left is the star” I said, grabbing it from the bottom of the box. When I turned back around, Taehyung was kneeling on the ground.
“What the hell are you doing?” I asked, laughing.
“Sit on my shoulders so you can reach” he said, evidently.
“Are you sure?” I hesitated.
“It’s fine, I’ve got you” he replied.
I stepped over Taehyung’s shoulders, the star in one hand, balancing my other on his head. He held tightly onto my calves as he stood up, and I squealed as he wobbled while shifting his weight. We laughed as I tried to balance the star perfectly on top our tree. “Done” I announced, resting both hands against his fluffy black hair.
Taehyung stood back, me still sitting on his shoulders, as we admired our beautiful tree.
“It’s perfect” he stated.
“Best tree I’ve ever seen” I agreed, kissing the top of his head.
Christmas with Taehyung
25 Days of Christmas Challenge
Prompt: Day 23 - Driving Home for Christmas Day 24 - Going to Bed Christmas Eve Day 25 - Waking up Christmas Morning
Authors note - This is very late, but it’s finally the last in my 25 Days of Christmas with Taehyung!
I’ve written the interactions with Taehyung’s family in English, and obviously they would speak Korean. I don’t speak Korean, so it was much easier for me to write something that flowed if it was in English. But just pretend that it’s translated from a Korean conversation hahah :)
Also, if you haven’t read Day 1 and Day 2 yet, I suggest reading those first, as they are linked to this ending :)
Masterlist

“This is the last of it” I announced to Taehyung as I passed him two large containers of food to put in the boot of the car, along with our suitcases and a box full of presents. It was the morning of Christmas Eve, and finally time to drive the 3 and a half hours to Taehyung’s family home for Christmas.
We did a final check on the house, as Taehyung scooped up Yeontan and we made our way to the car. Taehyung strapped Tannie into his harness in the back seat, while I jumped in the front, turning around and cooing at the small pup.
“You excited to go for a ride Tan?” I stated in a cute voice, causing him to start wagging his tail.
Taehyung petted the tiny dogs head with his large hand “we’ll make plenty of stops for you too.”
I turned back around to clip my seatbelt on as Taehyung climbed into the drivers side. He pulled across his own seatbelt and started the car before turning to me and smiling.
“What?” I laughed.
“Nothing” he beamed “I’m just excited to go home with you.”
“We’ll see if you still feeling like that after three hours in the car with me and my obnoxious singing!”
As if on cue, Yeontan barked.
“At least we know someone is” I laughed, turning to rub Yeontan under the chin.
Taehyung turned his head to look out the rear window, placing his tanned arm on the head rest behind me. The sight still causing me to swoon.
It wasn’t long into the drive before I picked up Taehyung’s phone connected to his radio, and scrolled through Spotify. I grinned at him once Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) started playing through the speakers.
“The snow’s coming down” I sang loudly.
“Christmas, I’m watching it fall” Taehyung joined in, just as loud.
“Christmas, lot’s of people around. Christmas, baby please come home” we sang together.
I looked over at my boyfriend, admiring how the morning sun lit up his dark skin and the way his cheeks hid under his sunglasses when he laughed, wondering how it was possible to fall more in love with a person each day.
***
“You okay? You’ve gone really quiet” Taehyung observed as we drove through his hometown.
“Hmm? I’m fine” I smiled back, fiddling with a thread on my knitted jumper.
Taehyung glanced towards me and raised his brows, not buying my answer.
I sighed. “I guess I’m still a bit nervous visiting your family.. they’re wonderful! And so welcoming! But sometimes I worry that they’ll come to think I’m not right for you.. I don’t know..”
I immediately felt his hand reach to grab mine and squeeze it. “I already told you, they adore you. And if they didn’t it wouldn’t change how I feel about you. I wish you could see how much people love you.” Taehyung brought my hand to his lips, placing a quick kiss against the back of it before resting our joined hands back on the center console.
I couldn’t help but smile at how he spoke to me. I was still a little anxious, but Taehyung being right beside put my jittery tummy at ease.
The car finally pulled onto a long, stone driveway leading up to a picturesque country home. Taehyung turned off the engine and immediately squeezed both my hands, giving me a reassuring smile before we stepped out of the car and walked up to the front door.
Without hesitation, Taehyung wrapped his knuckles on the wooden door before opening it.
“Annyeong!” He shouted, slightly crouching as Yeontan squirmed out of Taehyung’s arms and ran into the house. I could hear rushing footsteps follow in reply,
“Taehyung!” His mother greeted as she emerged from the kitchen, pulling the towering boy into a hug.
“Eomma!” His boxy smile and squinted eyes showed how happy Taehyung was to be home.
Taehyung managed to grab the box of food from my hands just before his mother pulled me into a hug. “Y/N, ahh it’s wonderful to see you again dear!”
“You too” I smiled, hugging her back, all my anxiousness disappearing.
“Come inside, we need more hands in the kitchen to help prepare the food for tomorrow!” his mother urged, pulling us both through the hallway.
Taehyung and I glance towards each other and smiled - happy to be home.
Later that night
After an afternoon of preparing tomorrows meal, eating, and family board games, I was sat with Taehyung’s family in the warm living room, the tv playing in the background. My back was resting against my boyfriends shoulder as I listened to his family catch up on each other’s lives.
I could feel my eyes getting heavy as a result of the long drive and busy afternoon, and barely noticed myself beginning to drift into a light sleep. I faintly heard Taehyung’s voice utter my name and feel his body move as he chuckled.
“I think it’s time the two of us went to bed, this ones already fast asleep” I heard him say as he rubbed his hand up and down my arm.
It wasn’t until I felt movement that I reluctantly opened my eyes to Taehyung’s face, my arms draped over his neck as he carried me upstairs to his room.
“Hey sleeping beauty” he winked, laughing softly.
“I fell asleep” I admitted, before realising I had done so while socialising with his family. “I need to apologise to your parents”
“It’s fine” he smiled “they could see how tired you were. Besides, they’re happy you feel comfortable around them.”
I nodded sleepily as Taehyung sat me down on his bed, quickly changing into my pjs. I heard the tiny feet of Yeontan making his way into the room, and jumping up on the bed. He circled around himself before deciding on the spot at the end of the bed. Freshly changed into his own pyjamas, Taehyung crawled into bed and pressed his body against my own to create warmth.
I wrapped my arm around his tummy, pressing my head against his side, instantly sighing at his presence. “Goodnight Tae.”
“Goodnight my love” he replied, kissing the top of my head.
The next morning
I awoke to unfamilar surroundings, with a familiar arm clung around my waist. It took me a moment to register we were back in Taehyung’s family home and Christmas morning had finally come. It was the one morning I could never sleep in as I turned to face a sleeping Taehyung, lips slightly parted and pouting.
He must have felt me stir, causing him to grumble and slowly open his eyes to meet my own.
“Merry Christmas” I smiled, voice hoarse from hours of sleep.
“Merry Christmas jagi” he replied deeply, pressing his forehead to my own.
“Ah” Taehyung suddenly said, causing me to jump as he pulled away. He sat up from the bed as he looked for something in his bedside draw, his caramel skin and toned back on full display.
He handled me a small package, neatly wrapped in ribbon.
“Tae” I smiled.
“It’s your last advent present”
I couldn’t help but giggle, looking up at him in confusion “you do know you only have to go up to 24 days for advent, love.”
“I know” he smiled bashfully. “But this is a special one, and I wanted to give it to you on Christmas Day.”
I sat up on all fours, leaning over to kiss his lips softly “thank you” I smiled, as I began to gently unwrap his gesture.
I disregarded the fancy paper, revealing Taehyung’s gift. I held in my hands the cutest pair of baby booties and a confused look on my face. “Wha- Tae?”
He laughed, rubbing his hand through his messy bed hair.
“Did I miss something? You know I’m not pregnant..?” I laughed.
“No, I know!” He giggled. Taehyung took one of the boots from my hands and began to fiddle with it. “Remember when we went Christmas shopping and we saw all those children meeting Santa?”
I nodded at the fond memory.
“And I said I couldn’t wait to start a family with you. I wanted to show you that I meant that. And we will always have something to remember this moment.” He kept his gaze focused on the small boot, smiling shyly and cheeks slightly blushed.
I placed my hand on the side of his face, bringing his eyes to focus on mine.
“God dammit I love you so much, Kim Taehyung” I laughed as my eyes blurred from warm tears. I reached out for his hand, lacing our fingers together. “And I can’t wait to start a family with you.”
Without saying anything Taehyung immediately pulled me into a hug, singing as he pressed his lips onto the skin of my shoulder. “And I love you endlessly, Y/N Y/L/N”.
He pulled back to reveal a smirk, and whispered in his deep voice “but don’t make me wait too long” he winked, causing my lower abdomen to stir and my cheeks to flush.
We were brought back to reality hearing the sounds of Taehyung’s family waking up, unable to contain their excitement of Christmas Day.
“We should probably join them” I spoke almost in a whisper, still transfixed by my boyfriends gesture.
“I guess you’re right” he smiled shyly, gently moving the strands of hair falling over my eyes.”Merry Christmas, Y/N”
I learned over, pressing a soft kiss against his parted lips. “Merry Christmas, Tae.”
