This is an easy protection/purification spell I did a few years ago. I’m no kitchen witch, but I was sick and I wanted to gain something from the food I was about to eat, so I did this.
1. Choose your soup
2. Sprinkle some basil in it! You won’t taste it.
3. Stir it clockwise so you bring that protection/purification to you. Tell it (in your head or out loud) what you’d like to gain from it).
The end! 🥣

Stress Relief Spell Jar
Add any of the following ingredients to your jar:
Lavender (peace)
Black tea (clarity)
Coffee grounds (grounding)
Chamomile (comfort and calm)
Lemon balm (happiness)
Sea salt (protection)
Amethyst (anxiety relief)
Garnet (balance and stability)
Sugar (sweetness and joy)
With each ingredient, focus on your intention, pouring your energy into each component. Light a white candle for cleansing and a black one to banish negativity. I like working with Apollo for this type of spell, so I'll say a little prayer for healing. You can pray to any deity that feels right, or none at all. Do what feels right.
I just wanted to say your blog has positive energy and makes me feel safe.
Thank you so much! This honestly means the world to me. I try to be warm and welcoming to everyone who needs it.
I'd say so. Dressing candles are definitely great to add personal touches for intention, but just a butter candle would be a fun little yummy modern twist, and perfect for any workings.
Unsolicited idea= delicious brilliance.
Unsolicited Witch Tip 19
If you're working a spell to help relieve something rough or angry in your life (sickness, storms, etc), dress a candle with butter to soften and smooth out those intense energies.
Had to take a little break for a bit, but I'm back!
Sabbat Recipe: Caramel Apple Punch
Admittedly, this recipe, as is, works best for gatherings with multiple people, but it can be reduced and altered to make smaller batches.
This is a great one to bring for Mabon or Smahain, as well as non-witchy autumn events.
Ingredients
2- 64 oz containers of apple cider or apple juice
2 liters ginger ale (if you're able to get your hands on Ale-8, it's my preferred brand since moving to Kentucky)
2/3 c caramel sauce
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
6 c ice
2 large red apples, thinly sliced
2 large green apples, thinly
2 c fresh cranberries
Directions
In a large punch bowl, add juice/cider, ginger ale, caramel sauce, and your spices. Gently whisk to combine.
Add ice and fruit and serve immediately.
