I have hazel eyes, and it said I had green. I wonder if the discrepancy is because I’m an artist? Like, if I look at things differently because I’m very consciously aware of color theory and composition and such.

i just took an online vision test that tells you what color your eyes and at first i’m like, “yeah ok like that will work”

I Just Took An Online Vision Test That Tells You What Color Your Eyes And At First Im Like, Yeah Ok Like

BUT THEY GOT IT RIGHT…

I Just Took An Online Vision Test That Tells You What Color Your Eyes And At First Im Like, Yeah Ok Like

how’d they know I have hazel eyes based on those questions?????

here’s the link if anyone else wants to try it

Top .01% but... It didn’t tell me which ones I got wrong. :/

How can I learn new words if the test doesn’t tell me which ones I wasn’t sure of that I actually need to look up now?

New fandom? New fandom!

Or “So now I’ve come up with it, but what do I do with it?”

I’ve watched Trollhunters/3 Below! I liked it! But as ever, the ideas won’t stop. I am that guy who ends up with a dozen AUs for just about every fandom, and this one won’t leave me alone right now.

Short Premise: Jim and Barbara are changelings in the sense of October Daye-verse, and the plot goes off the rails basically right from the beginning.

So now I’m just sitting here looking at it, because I’ve had two surgeries on my wrist in recent months, and thumb-typing on my phone is really not a productive way for me to write. (Also, I should, um, finish that other big WIP first.)

I phone-typed up a rambly thing in case that was enough to make the idea go away, but it didn’t. Don’t know when (if ever) it would end up written, but might as well share, right?

Ramblings pasted into a google doc for ... changeling equality?

Who can argue with that sentiment?

Incredible, but true: @etheriumart deserves to have a good day today.

Oh boy, let’s talk giant eggs! (no, really, I’m coming out of lurking for this) Ostriches do indeed lay the largest eggs of extant species. However, the largest bird egg known is the elephant bird egg. I have found an image to show a size comparison between one and a chicken egg:

image

Based on the thought that the most common size of eggs in that image are probably chicken-egg sized, I’d guess that the largest eggs in the image are somewhat larger than an elephant bird egg (rough guestimate 1f-1.5f long?). Elephant bird eggs can be over a foot long, and weigh over 22 pounds. The largest subspecies of elephant bird, vorombe titan, is estimated to have weighed between 1100 to 1600 pounds (and up to a possible 1900 pounds) and is considered the largest bird that ever lived. It’s also estimated to be about 10 feet tall.

So, yeah, the birds that laid the giant eggs in the image probably weighed over a ton. Height would be harder to pinpoint, because some birds are much stockier than others. Moas, for example are about the same height as elephant birds, but top out at 500 pounds.

image

Okay, but some of those eggs are really big! I don’t want to see the bird (or reptile) that laid them!

I mean, the largest egg on earth is the ostrich egg

image

and there are eggs in Fred’s collection that are easily three to four, even five times that size! I don’t want to meet something three to five times the size of an ostrich, okay?
