I Feel Like We Need To Talk About How Tai Is A Lot Crazier Than She Appears In The Show. Not To Say She

I feel like we need to talk about how Tai is a lot crazier than she appears in the show. Not to say she doesn't want to be normal, and not to say that we haven't seen her do some wild things. She's just so good at hiding it, even from the observer. She isn't like Shauna, who can hide it most of the time, yet we can see her cracks. She's not like Misty, who to most people just seems... off. She's not like Nat, who is messed up in the most "normal way". She's not like Lottie, who's diagnosed with a mental illness. She's not like Van who lives in the past on purpose. Tai did everything she wanted to do, unlike the rest of the girls. She made herself important. She seems so perfect to everyone she knows, and any fissure in the facade can be attributed to the stress she's under. And this is only in the adult timeline.

We also don't talk about how Lottie seems to be the only one to work through her trauma in a healthy way. Everyone sees Lottie as deranged, as one of the ones most responsible for what happened in the wilderness. But she may actually be one of the most sane characters in the wilderness timeline.

I hope coach dies of natural causes. I hope the girls just leave him. Not even eat him. Completely leave him there. He did this to hurt them, and not only did they survive, they survived mostly unscathed. That he hurt these girls he used to care about, that cared about HIM, for quite literally nothing. It didn't save him. It didn't keep them from hurting again. Just left them all without shelter and warmth. I hope he goes slowly. And realizes that it wasn't the girls that did this to him. That it was his fault that he was dying. That it was his fault that he didn't make it out.

There's something so inherently human about all of the Yellowjackets. Even the ones you hate, there's something about them that you just have to say oh. She was just a girl. If life were normal, if this wasn't the woods, the type of pain she would inflict could be healed. But it is the woods, and these wounds won't ever have a scar. They will continue to bleed, until nothing and no one is left.
