Summary - being a famous footballers girlfriend only comes with a price, and the fact that he cares more about the fame than you is more than enough to let him go.

Having a famous boyfriend was good, until it wasn’t, all he really cared about was the fame, and the money, he showed affection sometimes, yet this was usually around his mother or any other member of his family.

But she had enough, she had been there through thick and thin, and he didn’t care to show anything back, and she wanted more. She needed more than this, and her friends were even agreeing with her.

“Just dump him, you deserve better y/n” one of her friends had said and so that is what she did.

“Hey” she made her way downstairs, her voice catching the attention of the footballer “alright?” He mumbled turning his attention back to the TV in front of him “can we talk?” She said playing with the hem of her shirt “mhm” he said not taking his attention off of the TV.

“I think we should break up.” She said straight up “what” his head snapped towards her “I think we should break up” she hummed as his eyes went wide.

“No” he turned back around “no? What do you mean no?” she stood up grabbing the remote from his hands and turning the TV so his attention Had to be on her “I mean no” he crossed his arms over his chest.

“You.. you can’t do that Jude, you treat me like shit, you barely show any attention to me and you expect me to do every single thing for you. So what do you mean no!” She spat “I don’t treat you like shit”

“Oh really? When was the last time you actually done something nice for me?” She said tears forming in her eyes as he sat there blankly.

“Exactly” she huffed in frustration walking away from him “baby” he said “no Jude, don’t baby me” he pushed his hand off of her as she walked to the door “we’re done.” She slammed the door

“You can’t do this babe” he said tears forming in his eyes, surprisingly. “Don’t call, don’t text, don’t do anything we’re done Jude and I mean it.”

That was the last time he saw her, she never came back to get her stuff or anything, and he sulked in his bed, he missed her, and surprisingly he had realised what a terrible boyfriend he had been, while y/n gave him the whole world. He screwed up big time.

THE SUN WAS SLOWLY SETTING as the boneyard filled with more and more teenagers, Kiara and y/n chatting away about a recent movie the pair had gone to see at the cinema, when something caught her eye, it was JJ. She slowly tuned Kiara out, her eyes locked onto the prissy blonde he was flirting with.

“Y/n! Earth to y/n!” Kiara’s hand was waving back and forth infront of her face “are you listening?!” She said tapping her shoulder “yeah! Sorry” she threw her a sympathetic look

“See if you asked him out already, he wouldn’t be doing that” Kie said following her line of vision also spotting JJ flirting with the blonde, they watched as she touched his bicep as he said something funny

“He’s not even that funny, kie” she sighed standing up to get another drink, Kie following along “what have I told you y/n” she took Kie’s cup in her hand filling it up “I know but how am I meant to tell him Kie? He doesn’t even see me like that anyway” she shrugged

“Are you being serious y/n? Do you not see the way he looks at you?” She’s not being serious right? She’s just feeding into it “very funny Kie” she rolled her eyes “He doesn’t like me like that!” You sighed “Y/n you must be blind he’s like in love with you!” She turned to kiara with wide eyes as she practically yelled “who’s in love with who?” She froze, fuck

“No one- No ones in love with anyone” she turned around giving JJ a slight smile “why don’t you go back to your new girlfriend, looks like she’s waiting for you” He gave her a sarcastic smile pushing her shoulder “what’s that? Your fourth girlfriend this week?” She laughed “ha ha” he said “you seem jealous? Are you jealous y/n?” A scoff escaped from her lips as she rolled her eyes

“In your dreams Maybank” she sighed “anyways she’s just a friend anyway” he shrugged his eyes searching her face for any reacting “mhm…sure, anyone from a mile away could see she’s likes you”

“Just like you then..huh?” She froze again not noticing him slowly stepping closer to her “what?” She raised her brows “just like you” he repeated “I have no clue what your on about” the blood rushed onto her cheeks “I overheard you and Kies conversation” she was now, quite literally scarlet.

“How much did you hear?” She looked up at the boy “you like me?” He ignored her question his face softening “I-uh-well” she cleared her throat looking everywhere but him.

“No?” Her voice trailed “mhm” he nodded sarcastically “what? You really think I’d like you” she poked his chest, he caught her rest “you think I’m stupid” he tilted his head to the side lightly giving her a smirk “now why would you think that Maybank?” She copied his actions “cause you think I don’t know”

“You don’t” she shrugged feeling his free hand slip down to her waist pulling her closer “you think I like you..? Oh JJ you could sneeze and every girl would be fawning over you” she laughed “your a sight for sore eyes” he gave her a confused look “sight for sore eyes?” She raised his brows “it means your nice to look at” his smirk became wider

Due to how close he was, she could feel his breath on her lips, her eyes flickered to his lips then back up to his eyes, his gorgeous blue eyes.

“What are you doing?” She made no effort to move, he shrugged “just talkin’ to you” he said before a silence overcame them.

Before she new it, his lips found hers and the cup that was in her hand was now long forgotten as it fell to the ground the alcohol spilling over the sand as her arms reached up wrapping around his neck

“Do you still not like me?” He said as he pulled away from her “yeah I still don’t like you” she said before pulling him back into a kiss.

IT WAS COLD Walking outside with only a small black bikini on, the path to the hot tub was short, but chilly, the light smoke coming from the tub or JJ who was smoking a blunt. “Hey” her voice was quiet unlike the hot tub as she stepped up the small stairs sitting on the side of the tub before lifting her legs over

“Lookin’ good miss Y/L/N” his eyes travelling down her body “thank you mr maybank” she smiled sitting down across from the boy, who passed the blunt to her, she mumbled a quick ‘thanks’ before inhaling the joint.

after she inhaled, she looked up letting the smoke exhale from her mouth her eyes connecting with JJ’s “why are you looking at me like that?” She awkwardly laughed drawing her attention to the fact that it was only her and him in the hot tub.

The rest were asleep or out at the beach doing god knows what “you look pretty” he breathed out still stairing at her lifting his sunglasses up “are you high?” He laughed at her “maybe just a little” he shrugged

She passed the blunt back over to the boy his fingers grazing hers.

“But seriously though” he said looking up from the joint “you seriously think I’m pretty? JJ c’mon I see you with a new girl every week or flirting with one at a party and we’re literally best friends you can’t be serious JJ”

“Just because I do all of that y/n doesn’t mean I can’t think you’re pretty, you’re not like the rest of them… y/n… all of the-… all of them are just meaningless hookups”

“What are you trying to say JJ” she took the blunt back, the silence that came after her saying that wasn’t pretty, he sighed “don’t act so stupid” he looked up at her, with those eyes

“Stupid? Funny JJ real mature” she rolled her eyes “fine. You want me to tell you?” He sat up turning the bubbles off, so she could properly hear him.

“I like you.” He blurted out, her eyes widened, he stood up water dripping from his toned body “all those girls, hook up and shit we’re just meaningless and meant nothing to me y/n I like you.”

“No you know what scratch that I’m in love with you” she sat there dumbfounded as he looked down at her, her mouth agape

“You know what-.” He cut himself off “are you not gonna saying anything?” He said a frown appearing on his face, she was in shock, frozen even.

“You know what-.. y/n.. just forget I said anything” he said turning to get out of the hot tub, she rushed to stand up grabbing his hand “JJ…JJ” he turned back around “I- I don’t know what to say JJ I’ve liked you since the day I met you I-i just didn’t know how to tell you since I saw you with all those girls I never thought you were interested”

“I’m sorry I never said anything sooner.. I just thought that-.” He cut her off pressing his lips against hers lips moving against each other sloppily.
