Yeah, Kataang is really weird… especially bc of the age gap and how Aang is really like Katara’s little brother. Aang vs Ozai was an epic battle, but with no emotional weight, and thus inconsequential to the viewer

The final fights, this is what the results essentially boil down to, according to narrative; if any group other than Aang loses, the heroes lose.

Which kind of isn't fair to Aang, he's a fun protagonist with a lot of potential narrative depth. He could have, he should have been more relevant, and been allowed by the narrative to confront all of his most glaring character flaws so he could grow and earn tougher victories.

I'm not counting the White Lotus because, although freeing Ba Sing Se was important, it was on the third side of the world and the result of conflict didn't depend on it nearly as much. I think White Lotus also deserved way better writing and more time, but S3 was crumpled and they had nowhere to fit.

Why Gwen Stacy from Spiderverse isn't trans

First of all, I have a right to my opinion, so please don't spam me with hate. I'm not forcing this down your throat but I want to say my little piece.

But onto why I believe this:

Besides the creators of the show not saying anything at all on the subject (as of today, at least), I don't think Gwen Stacy from Spiderverse is trans because she's the only main female character. If she's a biological male, then technically every single main protagonist is biologically male (Miles, Pavitr, Hobie, Miguel, Peter B.) and the only female characters, though cool, would be the side characters (Jess, Rio, Margo)

So, yeah.

In my opinion that Nobody Cares About But I’m Going To Say It Anyway, i think filler is stuff that advances neither the plot nor the character… especially if it makes them do something so out of character just for the sake of drama.

You know, to have more episodes.

I’m honestly very annoyed with the way modern fandom has been misusing the term “filler” as episodes/chapters that doesn’t advance “the plot”. This is especially frustrating when used as criticism in the context of slice of life and character-driven stories. I’ve also seen people calling episodes/chapters they don’t like as fillers which is even worse…

I don’t know about anyone else but for me, breather episodes/chapters are just as important because they make me care about the characters outside of the main plot. Building up characters, showing character developments, exploring relationships with other characters and world-building are all very important to the story. These factors are what drives the plot for me.
