i find it so incredibly interesting how fizz’s relationship with fire has shifted throughout the show

as we all know fire was the cause of fizz’s injuries, and is obviously something that has triggered a fear and ptsd of it for him ever since. throughout ‘oops’ we see fizz often panic and freeze when faced with fire and explosions, but he is also shown to be dealing with his past somewhat positively

however during the new ep (can’t be fucked to write the whole name), fizz constantly uses fire to perform and uplift himself, specifically when quitting his job with mammon

as well as this, ozzie, who fizz clearly trusts and loves more than anyone, can literally become a bloody big ball of fire

this episode shows fizz taking control of his life and becoming his own person, and while he does have a long way to go with acknowledging his past, using fire to represent his strengths instead of his struggles is a damn good start

Let's talk about the fact that Fiz literally went through all the worst shit in his life alone.

So, did you see anyone in his close circle besides Ozzy and Blitz? And even then, the Blitz appeared there quite recently after 15 years from a fire in the circus. And Ozzy didn't appear in his life right away. At least, everything indicates that Mammon inadvertently brought them together, but that was for sure after our little joker was able to stand on at least the cheapest prosthetics. Or at least have a presentable appearance. Mammon needed to present his product so that Ozzy would definitely agree to this deal.

But back to the topic. Fizzarolli almost burned alive overnight, lost his limbs and horns, his job and career, all his acquaintances and colleagues, his best friend (who turned out to be the direct culprit of all this and who, from Fizz's point of view at that time, literally left him to die)...

He had no one to turn to or even speak to. Holy shit! He found himself completely alone in a wheelchair, and even on his own birthday. Can you bear at least some of this horror?!

And it is unknown what happened next. After all, based on the information about "10 years in a row" and that the fire occurred about 15 years ago, it turns out that it took about five years for him to recover and be afloat again. To learn to walk again. To master your prosthetics and build your name and stage image. To find at least ONE loved one he could trust. Oh, and add to that the psychological and, most likely, physical abuse from Mammon.

So, in fact, before their reconciliation with Blitz, Fizz could only count on himself at the beginning, then on himself and Asmodeus.

And let everything turn out well in the end, and the little imp found someone whom he could completely trust both soul and body, who would cook him breakfast and surround him with love and care, accept him for who he is, with all the injuries and quirks, but... Dude, I don't even want to think about what happened before these two met.
