Warning: angst, painful flashbacks of the past and mentions of death

Jemma was in the living room looking at a shell

Inner demon: jemma

Jemma gasps and looks around

Amber comes in the living room: hey just a quick update Azren is still in Victor’s clothes, a few of them are somewhat related Korey knocked Varen out with a dictionary and now they’re all fighting for some reason

Jemma: oh wow

Amber: how’s your existential crisis coming along?

Jemma unsure: uh fine

Amber: good *Walks out*

Jemma: umm Amber?

Amber pokes her head out of the door frame

Jemma: can dreams also have memories I mean can you still have memories even when you’re dreaming?

Amber: oh jemma what else are memories if not dreams themselves

Jemma confused: what?

Amber: right then more soon *Leaves*

Jemma looks back at the shell in her hand

Inner demon: do you blame yourself?

Jemma looks up to see her inner demon which is a grey-ish black skin demon: what?

Inner demon: well it’s quite common in this situation for a patient to feel a kind of guilt

Jemma looks confused: what situation?

Inner demon: the accident

And it flashes to a memory of a young jemma watching the only scientist who were nice to her being shot down by guards while protecting her

Ok ok, initial reaction: Crow's pretty chill and I like him. It's also interesting how Escaped Audios played into the whole 'barbarian who is introduced to the modern world' character. Crow does speak in a monotone voice and doesn't understand some things, but he's seen to have a few moments of emotion like when the (I think receptionist?) told him to think of cats and he smiled, and when he laughed at us.

I'm used to seeing these types of characters just be cold and hard with no emotions, and sometimes they gain emotions as the plot develops, but with Crow it's a bit different. you can tell he's an actual human and not just a character that acts like an animal or a robot, he's nice to the listener (he tells them to use his body as a shield) and he's shown to enjoy things like music. He's also shown to want to learn things and not just stay in his barbaric ways

Anyways, rant over, time to continue the story!
