anyone else feel physically and viscerally sick at the news about chadwick boseman, i literally am shaking with an overwhelming amount of emotion. i just. i can’t believe he’s really gone. i can’t believe he’s been battling this for 4 years. in 2018 when we all thought he was on the top of the world, black panther was out and he was untouchable, he was dealing with advanced stage cancer. fucking hell. this doesn’t feel real.

let’s put some respect to seokjin’s name and recognise some of his hard work!!

jin was originally a vocalist and not a song-writer but he wrote and completed awake during a very busy schedule. the song got rejected 20 times but jin did not give up until the very end and it eventually got approved. awake even ended up being number one on the billboard trending 140 chart. in total he has participated in writing 8 songs.

jin’s vocal coach always mentions him to be the most hard-working client she had!! she also mentioned he didn’t necessarily have to improve but he had to transform from acting vocalization to a singing one. 

yoongi once caught jin singing i like it in his sleep after they had been practicing it all day, and yoongi thought  “Ah. That hyung practices even in his sleep. Of course.”  

fake love won song of the year at the korean music awards. these awards are unique because they are not measured by voting or sales but instead has a panel of music critics, academics, radio show producers and other industry professionals make recommendations. their reasoning for nominating fake love they mentioned: Jin, who sings the most heartrending yet ardent emotion among the solo tracks of love yourself series, takes the chorus part. When he sings the back of love, shouting, the effectiveness of “FAKE LOVE” is perfectly proven.

jin has been an artist for 7 years now and most of his vocal improvements happened pre-debut/as a trainee or as yoongi once said: jin-hyung has always been good. 

in an interview with the grammy panel, one of the panellists said this about jin: jin is someone who has a “silver voice”. His breathing is so stable that he can easily switch from his head voice to his chest voice, still equipped with a natural vibration & pleasing falsetto which is an extremely strong advantage.

during mama, one of the biggest award shows of the year, jin used his acceptance speech to call out chart manipulation even after other collegues got threathened with lawsuits when bringing it up.

in conclusion i love jin and he deserves to be recognised for his artistry. i am forever grateful his decides to share his talents with us. he continues to be our moon, shining his light over even our darkest of nights.
