I Think That One Of My Favorite Things In Dunmesh Is Just How Laios Saved Everyone By Just Being Really

I think that one of my favorite things in dunmesh is just how Laios saved everyone by just being really autistic about his interests lol.

He was literally abused, othered, bullied and isolated for being himself throughout his whole life basically forcing him to keep inside his true self, the one time he tried to open up and being himself around another guy before the main events, it ended up with him learning that the other guy actually hated the way he showed his interests and found him really annoying and through several point in the manga we see people wary of Laios' interest in monsters as a potential recipe for catastrophe and what happened?

Laios beat this unimaginably old and powerful being which is the closest thing to a god in the dunmesh world only because he thought their ability to eat desires was cool af and added it to his self insert monstersona. He defeated this being so unimaginably powerful that their pressence can be felt in all parts of world history by eating their desires as his self insert monstersona he designed when he was 12.

Like holy shit, he saved the day, saved the world, saved EVERYONE by just being unapologetically himself which wouldn't have really happened had he not opened up and had his group not warmed up to his real self.

It's alright to be yourself, actually you are at your best when you are yourself, you can change the world by just being yourself and there's no need to hide that self because your real self is just so damn important and valuable.
