Semi spoilers for Fantastic Beasts!(Edits)

Is it just me or did anyone else hope that Tina and Queenie weren’t actually sisters? When Tina first brought Newt and Jacob back to their flat and we saw Queenie I honestly thought they were a couple even when Tina said they were sisters (because it’s the 1920s and you’d want to keep quiet about it right?). If they were, they could’ve taken the movie in a whole new direction with the ‘love stories’. They could’ve instead focussed more on Newt’s new friendships rather than the romances. Just imagine the same scene of entering the apartment like this:

Tina - And this is my sister, Queenie

Newt -  sister? you two look so different

Tina - We uh ... had different mothers?

Newt - (politely) oh right...

Tina - ...

Queenie - Tina, this one’s a smarty pants, he’s already got us figured out. 

Tina - (blushing) w-what are you-

Newt - You’re a legillmens?

Jacob - (bashfully) H-Hello...

Queenie - Oh aren’t you boys cute. 

And that’s literally all you’d have to do to clue in both the other characters and the audience (or at least most of them). Simple, cute, not in your face and not a central aspect of the story telling/plot that you’d have to work around. Literally everything else in the movie in would most likely work with this new layout. Newt and Tina could still be good friends, Queenie could still be intrigued by Jacob because he’s a muggle and the scenes dedicated to Jacob and Queenie’s romance could be used to build on other developments in character, plot and relationships. That would be probably my only edit/comment for the film. The rest of it was pretty interesting and cool (not to mention nostalgic for all of the HP fans).

If you listen closely to Maul and Ahsoka’s fight...

...there is a moment up on the beams where the first 3 notes of duel of the fates starts blaring in all its glory... but something is a little different. Kevin Kiner, the GENIUS that he is, discovered that the intervals of duel of the fates are the EXACT SAME intervals as AHSOKA’S THEME (a major second followed by a minor 3rd). I NEED MORE MUSIC NERDS TO BE FREAKING OUT ABOUT THIS, THEY ARE BOTH THE APPRENTICES WHO WERE FORGOTTEN.
