I changed up my altar :)
This was really because I fell out of the habit of saying my affirmations in front of my previous altar, so I thought change would be useful and might motivate me more. I don't really blame myself for falling out of the habit previously though. I used to sleep very late when it happened, and I would get up wayy early to say the affirmations.
It's still a self love altar, but I believe self love can take different forms and one form is working towards the goals I set.
What is on my altar:
A normal white candle. I have plenty of these in my house and decided to let it be simple.
A luck/prosperity spell bowl, which I made with salt and herbs in my kitchen. I also added a special coin.
The previous self-love sigil
The bracelet I had enchanted
A lucky coin which is like a mini luck spell, I carry it around.
Rainbow fluorite, which my sister gave to me, it increases focus
The shells from my previous altar because I love those shells
A self love bottle spell
For some reason I also feel more connected to my culture. Maybe it's because of the visuals. White is an important colour in Kerala and is the colour our traditional clothes are in. Kerala is always so full of greenery, hence the green herbs on the bowl. I also used the spices in my kitchen for this, which adds to the feeling.
Do you have any resources for me to self diagnosed if I'm on the spectrum? Thanks

I Think I’m Autistic

Okay, I am in my first semester of college and took a fairly easy schedule since all of my gen eds have been knocked out due to IB and realized something.
I don’t feel like I am doing enough unless I am physically exhausted.
I’m finishing with a 3.7/3.8 depending on finals and literally feel like a failure. On paper, I am doing great and am excelling in college, but I didn’t realize why I didn’t feel like I was doing enough until the other day I had to pull my first all nighter and finally felt successful in a way. Throughout IB, I tied my exhaustion to my work ethic and now I am going to have to work to untrain myself from that thinking pattern and reteach myself that sleep is so so important.
I’ve talked to a couple of other students from my school and everyone is kind of on the same page and agrees they have weird sleep schedules now that is taking a while to readjust after doing it for four years.
If you’re reading this, don’t do this to yourself. A lack of sleep is not indicative of working harder. It just tells of how exhausted you are. That’s it. Please try to sleep more.
When I say I am not waiting for revolution, I mean Im planting things secretly at bus stops, and shoveling snow out of the way of crosswalks. I mean it in a way where neighbors are stocking community fridges and harvesting in community gardens. Little libraries and strangers giving you shoes bc they couldnt return them. I mean ppl swapping stuff or loaning it out to neighbors theyve just met. I mean it in a way where a friend who can sew asks me to mend something and a week late brings me cookies as thanks. I mean it in the way a friend makes a playlist for you and it truly brighten your day. These tiny acts of defiance against cruelty and profit are their own revolutions. And they catch like kindling, small going at first you might not even know that flames there. Than suddenly all at once catching, burning in the darkness of the night.
