another key moment i really connected with is when the CEO of Martell tried to get Barbie in the box and she just couldn't bring herself to do it.

like as the little plastic restraint thingys were about to cuff her wrists and she removed her hands just at the last second because something about the entire situation just didn't feel right.

like she knew or thought she was surrounded by men who had good intentions for her and wanted to go along with what they were telling her to do but something about it just wasn't clicking that what they were saying was making sense to what they were trying to represent.

that moment right there, that's called female intuition. and i personally think that intuition and female intuition are similar but they are somehow not the same and here's why;

every girl has had that moment. where you are in a room with people, specifically a man or men, who say that they're nice or who do nice things and on the outside, that is the case. they are nice.

but something about how nice they are doesn't sit right with you and on the outside, you're smiling because he's smiling but the longer you look at him smile, the more you feel like he's baring his teeth like a wolf and you're about to be caught in his jaws.

but then you feel so wrong and so guilty for thinking that because oh he's being so nice to me, I'm just being paranoid, yet it doesn't shake the constant ringing in your ear whispering, telling, yelling at you to run run run as far and as fast as you possibly can away from him and the buzzing in your head and it doesn't stop your heart from beating so fast and all of those are signs of fear

and you have that split second where you think to yourself why am i so afraid of this man? he hasn't done anything wrong to me yet until you come to the conclusion that yes, you were absolutely right, that's not a man smiling at you, that is a wolf snarling at you because you're his next prey.

it happened once before when Barbie and Ken entered the real world and she just felt something off about how men were looking at her while Ken was having the time of his life because he didn't feel the underlaced violent threat to her life because he's wasn't the one under the scope. at least not in the same Barbie was.

and i think it's so sad that every woman i know has gone through this and will go through this until we reach our graves.

And so that's Stelle's first meeting with Aha!

I decided to just have fun with this and took some creative liberties with how I illustrated the dialogue hehe- I really wanted to push the chaotic/erratic aspect of their dialogue and after a bit of trial and error, I found what kinda works for me!
