Why I'm like this---

Okay, so... Heni!Roksoo definitely retains some of Kim Roksoo's original abilities, right? There's no other explanation to how he's dealing with that post-apocalyptic world otherwise. Even if he has experience from the 20 years war, he would not be strong enough to deal with the monsters, maintain his position as team leader, and even get promoted. Granted, we never learned whether he had some special powers in his original world, but still, at least a portion of Kim Roksoo's abilities have to be there for him to take assistance from.

And if that's true, I just can't stop thinking about Heni!Roksoo going through all of Kim Roksoo's memories, as early as when his age was in the single digits. Him watching all of the horrors Kim Roksoo witnessed throughout his life. Just him being the one person who knows and understands the tragedy that is Kim Roksoo's life in its entirety. Choi Han only got a glimpse of it. Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk didn't know Kim Roksoo before he turned 20. Kim Roksoo who actively avoided getting close to people so that he doesn't have to go through the heartbreak of losing them. The chances are extremely slim there is anyone alive in the world who knows all of his trauma. So I hope Heni!Roksoo is that person.

I don't believe Heni!Roksoo knew much about the body he would be transported into prior to the regression. But after he wakes up in Kim Roksoo's body, and he realises there's nothing or nobody around him that gives away just what kind of a person Kim Roksoo truly was. The way others speak of him oddly reminds him of his trash days and how people used to talk about him behind his back. So when he realises this body has a ability to record everything he sees and hears, Heni!Roksoo has a field day going through them all to truly understand the previous owner of this body. And he's completely stumped. He feels anger, sympathy, sadness and an odd sense of camaraderie. Because across two worlds he was probably the only person who understood what it was like to push away people you love, to lose your family and not be able to cry, to fight an endless battle with no hope for a better world.
