Reverse-isekai'd Og!Cale, in which he wakes up in modern-day korea as some dude named Kim Rok Soo.

There's no apocalypse. Instead, this is a showbiz-like au and Og!Cale has his debut or die moment bc of course he's got a system now, bc I say so.

However, instead of debuting as an idol, he has to debut as an actor.

As much as I love romance, I would really like more fics of OG Cale with his family. Most of his stories are found family and you rarely get to see the Henituse often because they're not that significant in the grand scheme of things. I want more stories of the angst and love in this dysfunctional family and I would also like to see more fics about the complicated dynamic that OG Cale has with Ron.

Very few stories have actually gone into depth exploring the nuances of Cale and Ron's relationship. Because Ron did care for OG Cale, he has fondness for him that was present in the line: "But that trash wasn't bad either."

I think it's part of the reason that I like RokCale so much. I love the silly misunderstandings that TCF is so iconic for and I love outside reactions to a character and their actions, many RokCale stories, especially if it's a transmigrator/regressor romance, show other characters reactions to RokCale and with Ron, you often get to see him be protective and lose his cool a bit.

Yeah. Part of the reason why regressor OG Cale AUs and twin AUs are so popular (imo) is because you get to have the beloved protagonist and then have an unpredictable factor like OG Cale to shake up the story. I think the only longfic twin AU I've read that doesn't take place before the war is (One Bad is Enough). This is without counting oneshots.

I've expressed this before but I want to see a story that is focused on OG Cale but is not from his perspective since one of my favourite things about reading is watching characters from other characters' perspectives. Most OG Cale fics are from his POV entirely or with small excerpts from other characters POVs. I'd adore an OG Cale centric fic where we get to see him take names and kick ass but from entirely from everyone around him.

Certain parts of the story would either be missing if he's doing something alone and there's no character to watch him or it'd be from a God/Eldritch observers POV or it'd be written in third person where we get physical descriptions but not his thoughts.

It is a very tall task though so I don't expect it to be written unless I do it myself, lol.

That is true, I think part of the reason why the Henituse family is so sidelined is because while KRS!Cale cares for them and loves them, he doesn't have the same attachment to them as OG Cale did and there's no baggage complicating everything.

It's why KRS!Cale has a good relationship with them, he first off isn't putting on an elaborate lout act and he doesn't have any expectations of them (besides giving him money, lol).

I don't even want to get into Ron right now, that would take too many words that I can't articulate at the moment.

I don't write for the most part because I can never maintain my motivation but I understand how frustrating it must be to untangle all this mess and then carefully tie into a coherent story.

Indeed. Though when I think of the kinda story I want with that concept, it's more so the POV bounces from character to character.

Certain characters might have dedicated POV chapters but most of the story is the POV bouncing between every character except OG Cale.

Yeah, I think active settings are really good for this, like banquets. You can bounce between the named relevant characters depending on the situation and what OG Cale is doing.

The characters position can be set up at the start of the scene from a third person pov or from the pov of a character just entering and doing a quick check of the room. And you can sprinkle in the reactions and comments of extras throughout.

Since Cale is an americano drinker according to the official TCF modern au checklist, I propose Heniroksoo to be an addict to the most diabetes-inducing drinks like iced caramel macchiato idk

Here's the twist: normally, neither would be caught dead drinking the other's favorite type of drink, unless they're stressed or go through a huge shock and "need to come to their senses"

So when people see either Cale/Heniroksoo with a hot americano/iced caramel macchiato in hand, everyone immediately knows that shit is up

Dodam Finds the Human Bastard

"Did you forget me?" Dodam whispered as he watched a red-haired youth named Cale drinking alone in his room and staring out the window.

Dodam was quite sure it was the human that was inside the evil bastard that set him free. It was him. But it was not. He wanted to ask the bastard with the sword about "Cale" but he didn't want to give him the same hope he felt.

This Cale always threw bottles and caused a ruckus but never hurt anyone. And when he was alone, like now, his eyes were always sad. Dodam didn't like that. Why is Cale sad? Didn't he say that money is everything? This Cale had lots of money and servants. Why is he still sad?

He is great and mighty. He will figure it out. If he forgot the great Dodam Miru, then he'll just have to make him remember. He tried to think of what made the Cale he knew happy.

Cale Henituse woke up groggy after drinking until he fell asleep. He felt something was... different in his room. He saw an apple pie on the desk beside his bed. It was still warm.

On a tree outside, blue reptilian eyes were visible, waiting. The blue eyes looked proud when he saw the sad weak drunkard Cale smile as he ate the apple pie.

This is some of the funniest shit I've seen today.

Why do you know what the inside of Cale's bathroom looks like? Why do you know he has a full body mirror?

What is this stalker behaviour, CJG, were you STALKING OG Cale??? Were you peeping on the guy when he was sleeping and bathing??? Like what.

I went back to reread the novel from the beginning, and I'm stuck on the fact that Choi Jung Gun was extremely descriptive in writing The Birth of A Hero. To the point it's kind of ridiculous.

For a family that was one of the firsts to fall during the war, as well as Cale being the first remarkable interaction Choi Han had after Harris village, I guess it's somewhat understandable that he mentioned their names and relationships.

However.

Why the fuck is describing the large full body mirror in Cale Henituse's bathroom necessary? Why did he mention that Cale Henituse was the only one in the family to have one as large because he paid attention to his appearance a lot?

Unless that mirror is kind of like a secret door to a secret chamber hidden in there, that was an absolutely useless piece of detail.

I genuinely want to see if the author will ever expand on this.

I'm seriously craving to write a fanfic about reverse-isekaied OG!Cale, but like---

What if Kim Rok Soo did have a brother old enough to take care of him after his parents passed? However, said brother originally ended up in a coma because of the same accident that took their parents lives, and got disconnected bc no one could/wanted to pay for life support.

Enters OG!Cale.

Cale, now KRS' older brother, wakes up before being disconnected and speed runs his rehabilitation to take KRS away from their shitty uncle.

And KRS gets the childhood he deserves.

And Cale gets to be the cool older brother we know he is.
