I Had An Old Idol Au Of Some Characters Awhile Back. I Have Been Really Getting Back Into The Genre So

I had an old idol au of some characters awhile back. I have been really getting back into the genre so I think it would be cool to talk about it.
I would like it to be pretty competitive and there are different genres to it. I really like when they’re on skates, hoverboards, or fighting. It adds something dangerous to the act, but I don’t want it too risky in this series.
Indie idols would be more exclusive to online and local places like cafes. They definitely would like being a virtual idol and doing vr concerts. The recruited idols would definitely have the bigger concerts and upgrades such as ice rinks, hoverboards, and cool theatrical acts.
This mostly showed off the girls than the world they live in. I would think both virtual and real idols would both be equally popular. There would be an idol ranking to determine the best of the best. If indie idols are on the top rankings, they can be recruited by a company and get a higher pay. Idol competitions are normal.
The plot of the series is an average girl who decides to become an idol after seeing a video of one. She is the bottom of the rankings and decides to compete in all sorts of idol activities. She gets into different things like a cooking show, parkour tournament, dance off, and ice skating.
The main plot of the original series was that a deaf girl named Madison wanted to become an idol and join the ranks. She was able to audition and work her way into a famous group called the Dream Catchers.
The prequel of the series was the Dream Catchers breaking into a record company and being recruited as a girl group. They’re mostly a dance group who did not have a knack for singing. They discover they like singing a lot and dancing. They become an idol group afterwards.
I just really liked the members of the group and the outfits. The members were Madison, Ana, Csilla, Cassidy, Allie, and Crystal.
Madison likes dark royal idol outfits and looking very pristine. Her day clothes are usually business casual.
Ana is a free spirit who likes super whimsical idol outfits with bouquets of flowers. Her day outfits are very simple and flowy.
Csilla likes bows and very cutesy outfits, almost Lolita idol outfits. Her day outfits are usually just mostly street clothes since she likes dancing in parks.
Cassidy likes the punk style and a lot of black with red. Her day clothes are pretty similar to her idol outfits.
Allie likes animal and clown themed idol outfits. Her day clothes are usually whatever is on trend.
Crystal likes split color idol outfits and having an angelic-devilish themes. Her day outfits is usually just her uniform or exercise outfit.

Been watching too many retro shows and I just really like how they show aliens (plus outer space) in the early 2000s. I think doing aliens and space again wouldn’t do well in this time, but who cares. A lot of inspiration from hello kitty, urusei yatsura, marvel, and zenon.
I would want my alien species to have translucent skin. It would be almost clear but is shimmery with speckles of some sort of metals. Antennas on top of their head. Their species don’t usually wear clothes, but traditional garb has a metallic sheen on it and is similar to zenon’s.
The antennas are more for looks than survival, but they use it to communicate telepathically. They touch antennas with one another and can transfer thoughts. If the person is powerful enough, they can brainwash the other. It is not common to want to brainwash each other though.
They are a peaceful species. They are a community and never had a need to fight. Powers will be discussed later

Been watching Ranma 1/2 lately and I had the idea for the spinoff I made for it awhile back. I really want to talk about some episodes I really like and see how to add my own characters to it.
To recap, the protagonist is pretty neutral about their two sides. They prefer to be female and doesn’t really care when people call them. It only becomes an issue when they deliberately wanted to present themselves as female to their school and after they accidentally transform, everyone thinks they’re male.
They escape to the United States and live with their distant relatives under the disguise of a transfer student. They have a younger girl cousin and a male cousin who accidentally finds out they’re able to switch between male and female. He suggests she use her male form to go to school. She heavily refuses as she just wants to be an average girl.
On the first day of school, she only has her tribal clothes and just borrows her cousin’s clothes to blend in. The pants had to be hemmed up and the shirt is a bit too big where it had to be tucked in.
Right before she could enter her class, a vase from the upper floor falls and she manages to only dodge the vase, not the water inside it. She changes into her male form and is introduced with a neutral nickname.
Since she’s not fluent in English and pretty flustered from the transformation, she comes off as cool and mutely handsome. A lot of the guys don’t like her and the girls are too lovestruck. She manages to make friends with another cool and handsome guy, his sister, and a nerdy photographer who is apart of the newspaper club in extension. The photographer is trying to find the latest scoop and may have burned a few bridges for the hottest newspaper article.
On the same day, they’re challenged in PE by a jock. He’s a showoff and wants all the ladies. He’s not afraid to put down others and people he sees as weaklings like the protagonist. They go on separate tennis teams and the protagonist wipes the floor with them. They become lifelong rivals from there.

Fourth installment of Digital Story. Here goes some sad stuff.
Once they come back after saving the Digital World, the kids are arrested by the Data Squad and then have their memories wiped. Vallura goes to high school with Kenny after her “summer vacation.” She meets Abby and Sora at school. Kenny notices she is not as cheerful as she used to be and investigates the vacation. He wishes he could help her and ToyAgumon resonates with him, escaping to the human world to find him. Upon meeting ToyAgumon, he remembers his time in the Digital World and vows to get everyone to remember to. Him and ToyAgumon work together to smuggle the other digimon to the Human World and get everyone to remember.
The DATS Squad 2 are on the case and try to stop them. Kenny and ToyAgumon defeat one of them and are able to leave. They didn’t recognize the digimon and couldn’t see Kenny’s face so they don’t know who it is. After more encounters, DATS is able to find out who it is.
The squad decided to transfer their school to keep an eye on them. Vallura is the last one who cannot remember and it is affecting her deeply. DATS try to prevent her from remembering. Kenny is not happy having classes with DATS.

The ice skating episode in Ranma 1/2 is one of the best. I shall talk about my spinoff’s take on it.
While ice skating with his 3 friends, the protagonist is mocked by two pro figure skaters. The protagonist’s handsome crush and best friend stands up for him. The male pro skater recognizes him though.
The protagonist’s friend used to be a famous hockey skater before quitting due to a concussion. The pro skaters mock them worse and even challenges the protagonist’s friend to a skating competition. With a hurt pride and wanting to stop the torment, the protagonist’s best friend agrees to it. He is now panicking because he doesn’t know another figure skater who can help him.
The protagonist feels sorry for him and agrees to help him look for someone. Again, the protagonist doesn’t know anymore else so she asks her cursed Swan friend to help out. The Swan agrees since the protagonist did help her out with the gymnastic club. It makes the protagonist jealous that she cannot help her friend in any other way.
The fight scenes and battle is a little blurry to me in this episode, but I will attempt to describe it all. The Swan and protagonist’s crush go against the two pro skaters. Without knowing it was a fighting match too, they are overwhelmed. The Swan has to do most of the leg work and fighting while the her skating partner adapts. It turns out he’s pretty flexible and agile on ice.
In what’s supposed to be the finishing blow, the pro skaters slam the Swan into the wall and injures her whole back. Not wanting her friend dead, the protagonist switches with her in her female form. They work together to finish off the two. In the middle of the battle, the male pro skater kisses her and catches her off guard. They almost lose when the ice breaks and releases cold water. The protagonist changes into their male form and is thrown a more fitted outfit by their cousin.
Their crush is surprised by their appearance, but brushes it off as he just needs any partner. Once they defeat the two, the female pro skater is so in love with the protagonist that she kisses them. Thrown so off guard, the protagonist tries to flee before getting interrupted by their snake rival.

Let me talk about the best arc in the series. They put the girls in skates and it was magical. Wish they kept that.
This time, the five girls are doing their solo careers and the protagonist stumbles upon ice skating idols. She goes to join them, but is unable to skate properly. A new friend helps her with training.
The protagonist is starting a new career and it is going well. Skating idols typically have a better reputation because their fanbase is not as toxic. The witch title still looms over her.
The leader of the group is having the best time because a lot of the fans like her and her music.
Her two co-leaders are doing pretty good too. One decided to become a streamer and the other decided to do more acoustic covers for now.
The last person is not doing ok though. She has been the weakest link in the group and it is showing. She is lost in what to do and does not know what she wants.
The protagonist has her join skating for now until she can find out what she wants to do.
