This is the gymnastic episode. I loved this episode from the original that I had to keep it. The Swan and the protagonist decide to team up for once instead of fighting.

When the Swan gets to her private school, she is ambushed by her good friend from the gymnastic club. In tears her friend tells her about another private school that has been sabotaging the district’s gymnastic teams. Without good funding, the gymnastic club cannot report the super rich school’s gymnastic team and is left with members sitting out the competition coming up. 

Her friend begs her to join and with great reluctance, the Swan agrees to her good friend and helps to find a third member to participate. With no other options, the Swan goes to the protagonist’s school and asks the protagonist to join their gymnastic team.

The protagonist is confused by this. They aren’t apart of a gymnastic team nor goes to the same private school, along with the fact they’re registered as a boy. The Swan waves them off and says they can make it work. Begrudgingly, the protagonist agrees to help.

The three girls meet up to train and after a tiring session, they are ambushed by the leader of the gymnastic team from the super rich private school. They manage to get her to leave temporarily, but the Swan feels there is something else more to the visit. 

On the day of the competition, the Swan’s friend mysteriously disappears with the message of being too constipated to join for the first round. The Swan ends up locked in a storage closet and got mop water on them while trying to escape. Luckily, they were able to find a vent and try to climb their way out. Unluckily, the gymnastic team’s leader found her and got her leg chained up.

With no other choice, the protagonist is left to defeat the evil ringleader and end her winning streak. The battle goes just like the anime since I cannot describe fight scenes well. In the middle of the fight, the opponent has the protagonist chained up to her friend. They both have to work together to defeat the girl, but it’s hard to fight with chains and not being coordinated. 

The protagonist’s cousin suddenly comes out and douses the two in a lot of hot water, giving the Swan enough time to get handed some sports outfit and join in for the fight. The protagonist fights on her hands to get the Swan enough time to counterattack and they occasionally switch off. In the end, they were able to stay in the ring because of the chain and get the opponent to fall to their feet.

Digimon: My Digital Story Prequel. This is the beginnings of the American DATS Squad.

Mackenzie was taken to the Digital World as an infant and raised by a digimon because of a crack. Felix, Dillon, and Summer are just enjoying their summer before they get sucked into the digital world. They see a glimpse of Mackenzie before she takes off. The area is controlled by a corrupt leader with Mackenzie as their henchman. They decide to defeat the leader and Mackenzie. 

With hard work and bettering the area, they come face to face with him. They defeat him and try to take Mackenzie, but Mackenzie won’t give up. Mackenzie steps up as the new evil leader. 

They defeat her for the last time and take her to the human world to get her adjusted. Mackenzie cannot adjust to all the new changes and flee back to the Digital World. With an evil plan in mind, she tries to take over the Human World and is stopped by the group and government. 

The government cannot trust her and keep her locked away, along with everyone else. The group propose to make a place to keep digimon related problems at bay.

Let me talk about the best arc in the series. They put the girls in skates and it was magical. Wish they kept that.

This time, the five girls are doing their solo careers and the protagonist stumbles upon ice skating idols. She goes to join them, but is unable to skate properly. A new friend helps her with training.

The protagonist is starting a new career and it is going well. Skating idols typically have a better reputation because their fanbase is not as toxic. The witch title still looms over her. 

The leader of the group is having the best time because a lot of the fans like her and her music.

Her two co-leaders are doing pretty good too. One decided to become a streamer and the other decided to do more acoustic covers for now.

The last person is not doing ok though. She has been the weakest link in the group and it is showing. She is lost in what to do and does not know what she wants. 

The protagonist has her join skating for now until she can find out what she wants to do.

Ok, I know how boring the idol stuff I talked about the last time. I had to setup the groundwork for it though. Here’s the tournament arc.

A rich sponsor has shaken up the underground. They are hosting the very first idol tournament. The first place winner will get a record deal with a bonus.  For 3 months witches will perform and gain points to be able to compete. Only the top 10 can be the finalists. In order to rank up or down, witches will either have to win battles or do a lot of events to gain popularity. Any battles lost will have point deductions depending.

The sponsor has created a Vote feature to spice up the tournament. Whoever is the first to hype up most or the whole crowd, they get to do a flashy combo at the end of the song like a special dance move.

Everyone has picked up training and the competition culture is now in the underground. The friendly nature of concerts is over. 

The protagonist is having trouble keeping up with ranking but won’t slack in battles. She is sad to see her once close friends turn into rivals. She desperately tries to keep the friend group together with lots of fun collaborations and hangouts.

She barely scraps by with winning many large scale competitions and fan events. Three of her friends made it to the finale. She manages to gain the crowd vote and wow everyone with a new outfit, along with a new Effect.

The sponsor is impressed by this and reveals himself to be a pretentious heir. He gave witches a spotlight and got entertainment out of it too. 

The protagonist is not happy with winning and impulsively decides that he has to give a record deal to not only her but her four friends, or else she won’t take the prize. In a tough spot if he doesn’t sign someone, he signs all five of them.

The five of them are now a group and work as a unit. They have to build up their trust and chemistry before their first unit concert together or else they will be disbanded by the heir’s dad. The snobby heir is assigned their manager by his dad and has to keep up with all their schedules. 

This is the sequel to the Data Squad AU I have of my characters. A brand new set of characters are here and are just teenagers unlike the original cast.

After a mission in the digital world goes awry, DATS is a mess when only the digimon with their digivices return. The original 6 who left had been turned to stone and captured by the Olympus 12 as they hate humans roaming their world. DATS has to recruit new members, but the 6 digimon go out to find temporary holders. 

The new 6 are an even bigger mess as they’re even younger than the og 6 and have to learn all protocols. DATS is not happy about recruiting some strange kids off the street, but they have to accept as they cannot find anyone else. With each new mission, the group bond. 

They soon have to enter the Digital World as an emergency message is sent to the headquarters. The Olympus 12 is going rogue and killing digimon who support humans. Cutting the training short, the new 6 enter the Digital World and try to defeat each Olympus. 

After defeating each Olympus, they are able to enter the castle and free the original 6, reuniting them with their digimon. 

The new 6 are able to stay on the team and keep training until they find a digimon.

The last installment of Digimon: My Digital Story. This is a spinoff before saying goodbye to this series. This is more fusion based than data squad, but DATS does exist in this universe. This is also inspired by a korean show called mix master. Definitely take a watch.

(Fusion) The Digital World and the Human World meet in a small town called Amber Town. It is in chaos and the spread was stopped by a weird force in the town. Digimon are loose everywhere and cannot leave, but it is not their concern. They are more concerned about the competition to be the most powerful digimon ever and be the hero of the Digital World.  

The legend is that evil will arise and a portal to the human world opens. A human and the most powerful digimon must work together to defeat the evil. The human is said to be very humble.

Humans are too scared of digimon and digimon don’t like to work with each other. With nothing else to lose, a mad scientist creates the digivice to forge the bond with the digimon and enlists the help of Rosie to get it working. Rosie turns out to be the legendary human and is able to bond with digimon. She befriends Gatomon and BlackGatomon, sisters born from the same digital code. She finds out that the legendary digimon may have not been 1, but 2 digimon.

Join her alongside her best friend Emily with Neemon, crush Evan with Hawkmon, and everyone else.
