i can't begin to explain what this shot is doing to me-

this broke me in ways that can never be healed and fixed me in ways nothing else could

The fight

Hunter and Crosshair both going for the throat

And Echo confirming that they always settle things violently

Going for each others most painful points but in the face of real danger they look out for each other

It’s so brotherly lol they kill each other but still love each other

And only Crosshair and Hunter are allowed to behave like that to each other. If anyone ever dared step up to either one of them like that, the other would ensure that person doesn’t get to breathe air again

it was never about trust. they're brothers. they don't leave their own behind. they gave each other chance after chance even after having been betrayed so many times.

so no, it's not about trust. it's about the pain that is so personal. they hurt each other in ways no one else ever could, and no one else could ever fix. they throw everything they've got at each other, they know each others greatest weakness and insecurities and fears. a lot of things they don't mean, but they have to say, because it's the only way to get an honest reaction from the other. so they can be vulnerable again and open and that's when they can start to really forgive each other.

theres a hint of "i want you to feel my pain" in every vicious accusation. we, as the audience, know exactly what they each have been through in their time apart, but they don't.

they owe each other a lot of explanations and apologies, but first, all their pent up anger and hurt needs to come out.
