I like to imagine he is likely one of the older teenagers since there were a few and I have an idea of what to do for another teen but since I like to think children can become residents due to a lack of child-like wonder and that the more traumatized or lost in their sense of wonder they are, the more they are likely to become something of a monster so !! rusty to me is likely 16 to 17, but is edging to adulthood, and in a sense from that, he could've used his plan as a way to ensure not only that he escapes, but he doesn't turn into a monster like most in little nightmares can become, esp if you're a child or young

this is just his clown outfit, I like to imagine he wore something different when meeting noone also given I like to think each dream does correlate to otto in some sense, I feel like rusty does mean something specifically to otto because yeah, he could've just wanted to see the dream resolve like always in the chapters and know what happened but he was so fixated on rusty specifically when noone was panicking that it makes me think they're two sides of the same coin even, and from that each kid in some senses, has a trait from otto's character design and etc.
